Malaysia to open embassy in Palestine, al-Quds

T. Belman. Israel prevented the PA from opening their offices in the Orient House in Jerusalem many years ago and she will prevent anyone from opening an Embassy in the eastern part of Jerusalem. It was a mistake to allow the US to open a Consulate in Jerusalem which serves as the US Embassy to the PA.

TEHRAN, Dec. 24 (MNA) – The Malaysian deputy prime minister said that his country would follow Turkey in opening embassy in east Jerusalem to recognize the holy city as the capital of Palestine.

Deputy Malaysian Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has said that his country would open an embassy in occupied East Jerusalem, a report stated, reported the official website of the International Middle East Media Center.

Speaking to local media, the prime minister said that the cabinet would, next month, discuss a proposal by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak for Malaysia to follow Turkey in opening an embassy in east Jerusalem to recognize the city as the Palestinian capital.

Turkey said last week it would open an embassy in east Jerusalem once the world recognizes an independent Palestinian state, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

He reiterated that said there was “serious determination” among countries that have not yet recognized Palestine to do so.

“Once we succeed, embassies will open in the independent Palestinian state’s capital, east Jerusalem,” he said, according to Days of Palestine.

The Malaysian Prime Minister led thousands of Malaysians in a rally, Friday, to show solidarity with Palestinians, slamming the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Najib told the crowd that Malaysia will do all it can to “save Jerusalem” and that he will not be cowed by the US nor by his close ties with President Donald Trump.

In September, Najib met Trump at the White House and, last month, posted a photograph of himself with Trump on Twitter, on the sidelines of a regional meeting in Manila.

On Thursday, Malaysia joined more than 120 countries voting in favor of a UN General Assembly resolution calling for the United States to drop its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, ignoring a threat by Trump to cut off financial aid to countries voting against his move.

“Yes, I have visited the White House and yes, Trump is a good acquaintance, but I will not pawn the sanctity of Islam,” Najib said to loud cheers at the protest outside a mosque in the government capital of Putrajaya, after Friday prayers.

“We are firm in our stand. We support the formation of a Palestine that is free and sovereign. We demand a Palestine with dignity and pride. We want East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine,” he said.

Earlier this month, Trump reversed decades of US policy by announcing that the United States government recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and said he would move US embassy there.

Najib vowed to hold weekly protests in support of Palestinians.

  1. “The PLO will now concentrate on splitting Israel psychologically into two camps… We plan to eliminate the State of Israel and establish a Palestinian state. We will make life unbearable for Jews by psychological warfare and population explosion. Jews will not want to live among Arabs. I have no use for Jews. They are and remain Jews. We now need all the help we can get from you in our battle for a united Palestine under Arab rule.
In a speech to Arab diplomats in Stockholm; Quoted in the Jerusalem Post (23 February 1996).”

“Recall how Sadat insisted on personal talks with the leaders of each of
Israel’s many political parties after his Knesset speech. His main target
was Shimon Peres, leader of the opposition Labor Party. Sadat invited
Peres to various meetings in Europe, the last in Salzburg under the
auspices of Austrian Chancellor Bruno Kreisky, whose hostile attitude toward Israel is notorious. Sadat was thus able to negotiate with the
Israeli opposition at the same time as with the Israeli government,
coming to agreements with the opposition that put pressure upon the
government to make still more concessions. ”

  2. @ Edgar G.:
They know. They hope we don’t. They are the 2nd most educated people per capita in the middle east. Though don’t confuse Israel’s survival with the survival of a dhimmi remnant which is what they what to make us again, at best. Neither ancient nor modern Israel ever functioned without Jerusalem as its capital. Under-estimating the enemy can be fatal.

And so can the moronic notion prevalent in Europe that these barbarians can be re-educated.

  3. @ Sebastien Zorn:

That may well be, but they don’t seem to know (they’re very, very ignorant people as a rule) that Israel, meaning the Jewish People, did without Jerusalem in a meaningful sense, for nearly 2000 years, although there were always some Jews prepared to suffer to stay there all through that time. I think the only time when there were almost no Jews there was when the Crusaders slaughtered the whole population, -although I’m sure some few escaped.

And they neglect to consider that “want” doesn’t mean “get”. So they can want all the want (clever hey??) But they won’t get….except kaduchas…..-without even needing to use their left hands.

  4. @ Sebastien Zorn:

No, you should remember that the Arab barbarians have no idea what compromise is, perhaps they don’t even have a word for it. And they are unique in that telling themselves fairy tales almost immediately ends in in them firmly believing them .

So maybe they would call Abu Dis “East Jerusalem”; I think whilst in full flow of imagination, they’d claim the whole city…but maybe they’d call it Damascus or Baghdad, or even London, maybe Rome, after proving that the pope is a “Palestinian”. They are so mashugga and vindictive that nothing is certain as to what they’ll do…. except that it will be the wrong thing for everybody, including themselves.

Let’s say they call it Jerusalem…That won’t make it anything but Abu Dis. There will be no Temple Mount, which is the most integral part of Jerusalem. NO walls, but they are great builders and concrete blocks are plentiful. Of course they can say that Muhummed (practically the same word as “mushummod”…) loaded it on to his flying express wings and brought it back to Heaven or Mecca where it’s so closely guarded that only martyrs are allowed to see it. Then we’ll have a huge increase in terrorism….

The mamzerim are not the only ones who have imaginations… The main fact is, that they won’t get even a sniff of Jerusalem.

  5. @ Edgar G.:
You mean they would compromise by calling Abu Dis, East Jerusalem?

No doubt, sincere two-staters would love that but Abbas can’t go to final status. This is basic principle:

    2. The Palestine Liberation Organization will employ all means, and first and foremost armed struggle, to liberate Palestinian territory and to establish the independent combatant national authority for the people over every part of Palestinian territory that is liberated. This will require further changes being effected in the balance of power in favor of our people and their struggle.

    3. The Liberation Organization will struggle against any proposal for a Palestinian entity the price of which is recognition, peace, secure frontiers, renunciation of national rights, and the deprival of our people of their right to return and their right to self-determination on the soil of their homeland.

They haven’t been recalcitrant and they haven’t lost opportunities. This is where they are coming from.

Also recall that in the 1964 PLO charter, they explicitly renounced any claim to the “West Bank” or Gaza, only claiming it in the 1968 revision.

“Article 24: This Organization does not exercise any territorial sovereignty over the West Bank in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the Gaza Strip or in the Himmah Area. Its activities will be on the national popular level in the liberational, organizational, political and financial fields.”

It was Sadat who first raised the demand of a “Palestinian” State in those very territories.

  6. @ Sebastien Zorn:
Do these idiots realize they can’t put an embassy in East Jerusalem without going to war with Israel? This is more proof that the clowns and fools who follow the PA cannot think straight. They are also on a self-destructive path.

  7. Note, the cavat, “Once the world recognizes a Palestinian State”. Even then, they’d still need permission from Israel to open a fried chicken place, even, anywhere in Jerusalem. “Possession is 90 percent of the law.”
