Peloni: Even the best of friends have distinct perspectives, but on the ownership of Judea, Samaria and Gaza, it is entirely unfounded to claim that Israel does not have the right to extend sovereignty over these lands which are Jewish Lands. What is more is that the manner and tone in which Trump made his demeaning and humbling comment on this topic was certainly devoid of the deep respect and friendship of Israel for which he has exemplified over the years. In fact, his comments were not just devoid of justification, but were made without any regard to the fact that they were unjustified. Notably, following months of Israel threatening its own unilateral action with regards to extending sovereignty over Judea and Samaria as a response to the unilateral moves of declarations of recognition of a second Arab Palestinian state (Jordan is the true Arab Palestinian State), Trump chose to relay his fiat against Israel’s right to do so only after the declarations of Palestinian statehood had been made by the Engalnd, France, etc. Furthermore, Amb. Huckabee made it clear that the Europeans had given “the Green Light” for Israel to do so, making Trump’s declarative statement to the contrary all the more extreme, incomprehensible and damaging to its only true ally in the region.

President Trump last night declared that he would not allow Israel to “annex the West Bank.” Some people are angry. Some are extremely disappointed. Personally? I’m not surprised and definitely not worried.
Let’s start with the basics. It’s not the “West Bank.” That’s a term our enemies use, a geographic fiction designed to erase our ancient, undeniable Jewish connection to the land. The correct name is Judea and Samaria, the historic cradle of Jewish civilization, where the majority of the Bible stories took place, where Abraham walked, where our prophets spoke, and where our people lived for thousands of years. The only reason anyone calls it the “West Bank” today is because Jordan illegally occupied the ‘West Bank of the Jordan River’ for 19 years and the world decided to run with the propaganda.
You don’t annex something that’s already yours…
So maybe President Trump was just using the wrong term on purpose? Maybe it was semantics. But more likely, it wasn’t.
Still, I’m not panicking. And that’s because I’m a realist.
Realism means looking beyond headlines and seeing the full picture. President Trump, despite this comment, has been one of the strongest allies Israel has ever had. He moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, recognized our sovereignty over the Golan Heights, pulled out of the disastrous Iran deal, and unapologetically supported Israel’s right to fight this war across the whole Islamonaz*i Middle East.
But here’s where realism cuts deeper: No matter what any U.S. President says or tries to do, including President Trump, sovereignty over Judea, Samaria, and Gaza is not just inevitable. It’s necessary for Israel and the whole freedom loving world.
Why?
Because Hamas is never going to disarm.
Because the Palestinian Authority is never going to stop funding terrorism or inciting murder.
Because the international community will never prioritize Jewish security over political theater and appeasing their growing Muslim population.
Because the two-state solution was never a solution, just a slogan masking a long war to destroy the Jewish state of Israel.
Hamas has openly declared that October 7th was just the beginning. Their charter still calls for genocide. Their actions, from the massacre of babies to the brutal torture of civilians, prove they are not freedom fighters. They are a death cult. No amount of negotiations, ceasefires, or foreign aid will change that.
And the so-called “moderate” Palestinian Authority? They’re just as complicit. They name schools after terrorists. They pay salaries to murderers sitting in Israeli jails. They’ve never stopped glorifying violence. The PA doesn’t want peace, they want power, and they want it built on the ashes of the Jewish state.
So explain to me: How is Israel supposed to exist with our lands under their control?
We already did that in Gaza. We pulled out in 2005, not one settler left, not one IDF soldier remained, not one grave even remained in the ground. We got 20 years of terror tunnels, rocket barrages, the horrific Oct. 7th massacre of innocents, with this barbaric war raging on with our hostages still held in Gaza terror tunnels. Never again.
Sovereignty is inevitable because the status quo is unsustainable. If we don’t apply Israeli law to Judea and Samaria, and Gaza, someone else will, whether it’s Hamas, the PA, or worse. And when lawlessness reigns, Jewish blood is spilled.
But here’s the most important truth of all: I’m not worried because, as a Jew, I don’t put my faith in world leaders, not even Trump. I put my faith in God.
We are obligated to act, to defend ourselves, to speak the truth, to build, to create facts on the ground, but ultimately, it is God who determines the outcome.
The rebirth of the State of Israel? That wasn’t supposed to happen.
Winning our wars against impossible odds? That wasn’t supposed to happen.
Surviving the Iranian- and Qatari-backed, multi-front genocidal assault that began on October 7th? That wasn’t supposed to happen either.
But it all did. Because God runs the world, and our return to this land is not a modern political story, it’s a divine promise unfolding in real time.
So I choose to be grateful, to President Trump for all he’s done, to Prime Minister Netanyahu, and to God for all He’s doing. And I choose to stay focused, on educating, advocating, and explaining why sovereignty over Judea, Samaria, and yes, Gaza, is the only way to finally end the terror war against us.
Trump introduced his Gaza emigration plan, a rational, humane strategy to give Arabs in these areas the option of leaving, since their booby trapped, terror tunnel homes are no longer. That is the only plan that addresses the reality on the ground. Not fantasy peace accords with terror states. Not empowering the next Mahmoud Abbas or Ismail Haniyeh. All those in this genocidal culture called “Palestine” who support our destruction, live elsewhere, not in Judea, Samaria or Gaza.
So whether it’s under Trump and Netanyahu, or under someone else after them, I know this will happen.
Not a question of if it will happen, but when.
Why am I so sure? Because I’m a realist.
And because I believe in the destiny of the Jewish people in the Land of Israel, all of it.
Judea and Samaria is not a bargaining chip. It is the heart of our home.
And no one will stop us from claiming what is ours.
To conclude, the hard truth, which too many in the West still refuse to acknowledge, is that the ideology driving Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and their backers is not about a border dispute with Israel, it’s a 1,400+ year global jihadist movement committed to subjugating and conquering the world.
October 7th was not only an attack on Israel; it was an attack on the values of every freedom-loving society. That’s why the loss of land for radical Islamic movements in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza, through Israeli sovereignty, combined with President Trump’s own emigration plan, is a necessary step way to uproot this terror infrastructure and protect the entire civilized world from a 1,400-year-old jihadist ideology.
Appeasing that ideology instead of crushing it, and pressuring Israel not to apply sovereignty, is not just bad for Israel. It is disastrous for the United States, for Europe, and for the entire Western world, because it signals weakness and invites more terror, not less.
History has shown us: only moral clarity and decisive action defeat evil, never appeasement.
The Jewish people, in our God given ancestral homeland have that moral clarity. Those who bless us and support us to do what is necessary, will be blessed. Those who curse us and stop us from doing what needs to be done, will be cursed.
Yes, it’s that simple. All one has to do is strengthen their faith in the only entity worthy of faith, God.
Onwards to sovereignty and Trump’s emigration plan! When? Just wait and see…
Am Yisrael Chai!!!

“Only full sovereignty over all open areas and settlements will prevent a terrorist state from being established in the heart of the country.” – Samaria Regional Council chairman Yossi Dagan
I fully concur and there is no reason to delay. And for those liberal rabbis who claim to be representing Jewish values, may I direct your attention to the little-mentioned Deuteronomy chapter 7:22.
@ dreuveni, No one should be deceived. Peace with the Arabs is absolutely unattainable. They will never settle for anything less than total victory, either through diplomatic means or through war, or both. The only way Israel will ever have peace with the Arabs is through deterrent strength, and the demonstrated will to use it.
The more we continue down this road, the ore inevitable it becomes that peace with the Arabs is unattainable. Sure, they may agree within taqiya constraints for a “hudna” but as we all know, there is just no value in it for us.
The 21 points ennumerated. President Trump is trying to sound Wilsonian but every point is so off the wall on the face of it, it reads more like alternate history science fiction. Is he familiar with the works of Harry Turtledove or Eric Flint, I wonder.
There isn’t a single one of the 21 bullet points that has the slightest chance of being accepted and implemented by the other side.
It’s the product of an ivory tower mindset completely divorced
from reality. And it’s all been tried.
As PM Bibi said, they’re unwavering bottom line for the last 100 years has been death to Israel, death to the Jews. This is just the latest Trojan Horse.

There are a few things that Trump doesn’t waver on, like immigration, but on many other important issues, (i.e. Israel, Ukraine, China, Russia), Trump is inconsistent, at best. Trump is what America needed at the time, but now, we must look forward, to someone, (presumably a Republican), who will be more consistent and focused, not always trying to “make a deal”. A safe and secure Israel is in everyone’s best interests, much more so than resorts and casinos in Gaza.
Judaea and Samaria aren’t in Trump’s gift – they are not his. They belong to G-d and to the people to whom He gave the Land, the Jews. Diplomatic concerns have hitherto stopped Israel from exercising full control over these areas, just as they prompted the ill-fated withdrawal from Gaza in 2005, but now reality has dawned. Israel needs to govern these territories so that her people – Jew, Arab and Christian – can live in peace and safety. Nothing less will ensure a lasting peace.
The majority in Israel want Ayosh (The West Bank in Islamic Lingo) annexed.
Jordan stole Yehuda and Shomron (Ayosh) from Israel in 1948
Not complicated
Some Muslim Arabs (Palestinians) are just in the way. Too bad, so sad.
End of story.
