A majority of religious bias crimes target Jews, FBI says.

Hate Crimes Increase For Third Consecutive Year, FBI Reports

ASHER STOCKLER, NEWSWEEK

Almost 60 percent of hate crimes based on religious bias were motivated by anti-Semitism, the FBI reported on Tuesday as part of its annual Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program.

In 2018, the year covered by the FBI’s most recent report, 57.8 percent of religious bias offenses were categorized as anti-Jewish. A total of 896 anti-Jewish offenses were reported to local and federal law enforcement agencies, forming a data set that is ultimately collected and released by the bureau.

Although thousands of agencies participate in the hate crimes reporting program, such participation is voluntary at the local level, meaning that the data underestimate the larger number of such crimes committed in smaller jurisdictions.

Jared Kushner is owed a lot of credit for Trump’s successes

T. Belman. Vanity Fair intended this article to be a hit piece. I changed the title and choose to read it a praise of Jarad Kushner. Much more could have been said about his accomplishments in trade, prison reform and the ME to name a few areas. Remember how much chaos there was in President Trump’s first year. Thank’s to Kushner, the chaos is a thing of the past.

I posted an interview of him which greatly impressed me. He deports himself very well and shows his great intellect. Nikky Haley called him a “hidden genius”.

I predict he will succeed in ending the Arab-Israeli conflict and will get Trump elected in 2020 just as he did in 2016. He may well be the first Jewish president. An orthodox one at that.

As the House Judiciary Committee gaveled a rare prime time impeachment hearing inside the vaulted hall of the Ways and Means Committee Room on the evening of December 11, Donald Trump stood at a lectern in the White House’s East Room, lavishing praise on his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. “I love Jared,” Trump told casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Israeli ambassador Ron Dermer, and other high-profile guests attending the White House’s annual Hanukkah reception. A few hours earlier, at Kushner’s urging, Trump had signed a controversial executive order that classified Jews as a nationality for the purposes of enforcing anti-discrimination laws on college campuses. That morning, Kushner defended the policy in a New York Times op-ed. The flurry of activity reflected an emerging truth: As Trump ends the year by becoming only the third president in history to be impeached, Kushner is completing what is, by any measure, an unexpected comeback.

Am Yisrael Chai

By Shmuel Sackett, ZEHUT INTERNATIONAL

Dearest American Jews; I will be direct in my words and not politically correct. What are you still doing there? Years ago, when the modern State of Israel was declared, life was indeed very difficult. For several decades, most people lived in cramped apartments, didn’t have a telephone, car, television or even an air conditioner. Very few people spoke English, medical care was not what someone from America was used to and milk came in weird bags. The economy was a mess, inflation was out of control and the Lira changed to the Shekel and then the Shekel changed to the New Shekel!

However, for the last 30 years, Israel has become the most modern country imaginable. Street parking is via an app on a smart-phone, shopping malls are everywhere, medical centers are in every city and most Israeli’s have large plasma tv’s in every room! Today, you can speak English anywhere you go, take the light rail all over Jerusalem, eat in the fanciest restaurants on the planet, swim in the cleanest beaches and enjoy free Wi-fi in most cities. Our milk is now in boxes, our economy is in better shape than the USA and most people who made Aliyah live in nicer and newer homes than what they had in America!

When Hate Becomes an Agenda

Trump so infuriated his opponents that, rather than find arguments to convince a majority of Americans that the president’s policies were flawed, his enemies instead sought to destroy him.

Victor Davis Hanson

When a party, an ideological movement, and an entire political agenda are based on hatred, people and policies become warped. The left-wing loathing of Trump has now tainted almost every Democrat’s agenda and unhinged most of the party’s major players.

Impeachment has turned into a cruel caricature of a rare constitutional remedy for presidential criminality. Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report proved a compendium of FBI lying, fraud, and vendetta. There is not a single prominent figure in Horowitz’s lengthy report who has not left a written or video trail of anti-Trump bias (James Comey, Peter Strozk, the Ohrs, Lisa Page, Kevin Clinesmith) or has had some sort of questionable financial relationship with the Clintons or their affiliates (Alexander Downer, Andrew McCabe).

Dear Jewish-American Leftists: It’s Time For a Talk

You have the power to determine how history will judge us.

By Valerie Sobel, FPM

From one Jew to another. From one parent/grandparent to another. From one who utters “Never Again!” to another. From one witnessing the vile anti-Semitic floats in Belgian parades to another. From one in horror watching the U.K. descend into 100 monthly anti-Semitic incidents to another. And from one seeing, in disbelief, the rise of anti-Semitism in the U.S. to another. We may not agree on much else, but this outrage we have in common.

You are the resounding 72-74% majority of the 5.4 Million American Jewry who have backed the Democratic Party since the sun has risen in the East. We get it; you’re for minority rights because you will forever identify as a minority. You’re forever for JFK , even though his brand of liberalism is long gone and has actually morphed into modern conservatism. You’re forever for FDR, even though it was the Republican Ronald Reagan who delivered approximately 3,000,000 Soviet Jews from bondage of Anti-Semitic leftist oppression.

US denies report of 3-way deal between Israel, PA, Hamas in peace plan

T. Belman. Many of the things mentioned in the report of the deal have been mentioned before.  In fact Bibi was the one pushing for things like the industrial zone in Sinai and a port and airport for the Palestinians. This report is fake news. My information is that Bibi is obstructing the real plan.  He is against it.  As long as Bibi runs the country he is the stumbling block to a great deal for Israel.

So the hope is that Saar replace him in the currrent primaries or that Blue and White form the next government with Ganz as PM.

White House official says rumors about content of plan are false.

WASHINGTON — The White House on Tuesday denied reports from a Lebanese television channel that its supposed peace plan will include a three-way deal between Israel, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, the Islamist terror group that rules the Gaza Strip.

“Rumors about the content of the Trump Administration peace plan are false,” a senior administration official told The Times of Israel. “We are confident that the so-called source has not seen the plan.”

The report — by the pro-Hezbollah Al-Mayadeen — features details that starkly contradict the limited information that Washington has released about the proposal, and that stand at sharp odds with known US and Israeli positions.

Boris Johnson’s Great Victory

By E. Jeffrey Ludwig, AMERICAN THINKER

Boris Johnson’s landslide victory endorses the sovereignty of nation-states and resists the multilateral ideals of regional governance or even one-world government.  Is it not repugnant to every liberty loving individual to think, as the globalists do, that the nation-state idea of governance has run its course?  What was once a mere fringe idea of world governance held by the World Federalists in the 1940s has become a mantra for many in our own time.

Although the original Universal Declaration of Rights for the founding of the United Nations expressed a desire for world cooperation, and, more importantly, to promote “rights” throughout the world, the World Federalists, a group independent of the UN, saw the UN as an opportunity to move away from national self-governance towards world government, with a unified one world military and one world taxation.  Over the decades, the UN has moved away from the rights-based conceptual basis of its founding documents, and moved towards the world government ideal found in the UN’s Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.  In this latter document with 91 sections, the words “sustainable development” and “[meeting] needs” are repeated frequently whereas the word “rights” is used only once in the entire document.  The purpose of government to “meet needs” clearly resonates with the Marxist axiom, “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”  Thus Agenda 2030, despite its dense, repetitive, jargon-laden passages, can be said to resonate with the Marxist stateless, universal vision.

Turkey allowing Hamas to plot attacks on Israelis from its soil – report

The authoritarian Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has long played host to leaders of Hamas, is now allowing the terror group’s operatives to plot terror attacks while on Turkish soil, a report said late Tuesday.

According to the British daily The Telegraph, citing Israeli police sources and offering a wealth of details, recent interrogations of terror suspects by Israeli officials revealed that Hamas operations in Jerusalem and the West Bank are being actively directed from Istanbul, while Turkish authorities turn a blind eye.

Is Turkey Coming Back? Policy Experts Predict ‘Rogue Ankara’ Over Long Term

by Benjamin Baird, MEFORUM
The Armenian Weekly

On September 19, 2017, a Turkish delegation stormed out of a NATO Parliamentary Assembly meeting held on Philadelphia’s historic Independence Mall. The delegates were outraged when the hosting Middle East Forum refused to honor their distant leader’s request to disinvite from the conference a regime dissident.

Rather than submit to the will of the regressive Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, Middle East Forum president and founder Daniel Pipes taught NATO how to stand up to a totalitarian tyrant.

More than two years later, the Forum convened a Capitol Hill briefing to examine the prospects for normalized relations with Ankara, asking “Is Turkey Coming Back?” and offering a much-needed update on U.S. policy.

Bennett working to step up campaign against Iran in Syria

T. Belman. Bennett has long wanted to be minister of Defense. Now that he was appointed he is showing the difference he can make. Bibi was all about containment. Bennet is about being pro-active. The public likes it and is rewarding him with more political strength.

Defense Minister Naftali Bennett is working to intensify Israel’s steps against Iranian forces in Syria, with the aim of persuading the Islamic Republic to withdraw its forces from the war-torn country in the near future.

According to this new line of thinking, the steps will be continuous, with the aim of getting Iranian forces to almost completely withdraw from Syria. The idea is to use increased operations to force Iran – which saw Syria as an opportunity to increase its regional hegemony – to cut its losses and understand that it is not worth remaining in the country.

The Real Dangers to Jews

Twitter-fueled partisan insanity is preventing society from keeping Jews safe—at exactly the moment it’s most needed

By Liel Leibowitz, TABLET

The past 24 hours provided a clear and painful picture of the momentous challenges American Jews face these days.

The day began with news that President Trump had issued an executive order designed, the White House said, to fight anti-Semitism. Reporting on the order, The New York Times stressed that it will “effectively interpret Judaism as a race or nationality, not just a religion,” and that it “could be used to stifle free speech and legitimate opposition to Israel’s policies toward Palestinians in the name of fighting anti-Semitism.” Leftist NGOs echoed the same talking point, and a phalanx of pundits took to Twitter to decry the order as anti-Semitic because, allegedly, it somehow paved the road to defining Jews as something less than fully American. From the Hollywood actress who thundered, “You, stupid crook president do not get to decide this so your white nationalist pals get to stick me in a concentration camp,” to the law professor who blasted the order for deeming Jews to be “some nationality other than Americans,” our bien-pensants were whipping everyone into a wild frenzy, portraying the president as an unhinged anti-Semite and a clear and present danger to the Jews.

Reform Jews Endorse Slave Reparations for African-Americans

T. Belman.  Given what is included in “reparations”,  “expressions of remorse”, they aren’t so horrendous. There is a huge difference between “expression of remorse  and with “monetary compensation”.  I find that odd.  Why did they not back one or the other?  I have no trouble with a formal apology, but I  am against reparations, big time.

Conference resolution says they can be anything from expression of remorse to education to monetary compensation

The Reform movement, the country’s largest Jewish denomination, declared its support for reparations for African-Americans at its biennial conference.

The resolution, which was approved Friday by voice vote at the 5,000-person gathering of the Union for Reform Judaism, calls for “a federal commission to study and develop proposals for reparations to redress the historic and continuing effects of slavery and subsequent systemic racial, societal, and economic discrimination against Black Americans.”

Donald Trump and Jewish Nationhood

By Lee Hoffman, AMERICAN THINKER

President Trump’s signing of an executive order identifying anti-Semitism as a violation of the Civil Rights Act and including it in that piece of legislation has created a hysterical reaction from the liberal, left-leaning Jewish community in this country.

Their chief complaint is that it identifies Judaism as a “nation” or a “people” separate from the rest that requires such protection.  Clearly, if Judaism is a “belief” rather than a nation or a race, than simply disavowing such belief disqualifies one as being Jewish, and the need for such protection is nonexistent.

Worse, from this perspective, it identifies Israel as a “Jewish State” as opposed to their perspective that Israel is indeed, not a Jewish State, but a secular state comprised of many Jewish people.  It also raises the uncomfortable premise that Jews may have allegiances to Judaism or Israel or both, that bifurcates and marginalizes Jewish commitment to the United States.

Report: ‘New Palestine’ state in draft of Trump Middle East peace plan

i24NEWS

Arab report states ‘Deal of the Century’ would be a trilateral agreement between Israel, PLO and Hamas

Lebanese Hezbollah-backed Al Mayadeen TV channel claimed on Monday to have obtained parts of a draft of US President Donald Trump’s much anticipated Israeli-Palestinian peace plan proposal.

The so-called “Deal of the Century” would see a trilateral agreement signed between Israel, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Hamas, with the establishment of a Palestinian state branded “New Palestine” on the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Plan for the day that US and Israeli interests conflict over Iran

Plan for the day that US and Israeli interests conflict over Iran

It was not long ago that President Obama told the Saudis to “share the neighborhood” with Iran, as part of his solution for regional stability in the Middle East. So it would not be hard to imagine a future American president who would also say we must accept Iran as a nuclear power because the alternative would be war, which would not be in American interests.1.2

But what if the Israelis think differently, seeing a nuclear Iran as their existential threat that cannot stand? Israel still adheres to the Begin Doctrine, when Prime Minister Begin said after Israel’s preemptive attack against the Iraqi nuclear reactor in 1981, “We shall not allow any enemy to develop weapons of mass destruction turned against us. … This attack will be a precedent for every future government in Israel.”
