T. Belman. We all know who CAIR is except for liberal Jews who are forever embracing Muslims. We also know that George Soros was behind the creation of J Street as an organ to speak for these Jews in place of AIPAC.

Eight years ago, I suggested that CAIR should be replaced by a Muslim organization that would truly represent moderate Muslims. Such an organization would be funded to the tune of $100 million a year so that it could effectively compete with CAIR in all spheres. Once it got started, the Trump administration could embrace it and reject CAIR. I stand by that suggestion today. Only in that way could moderate Muslims be the solution.

As antisemitism grows in America, synagogue safety has become an urgent concern for most American Jewish leaders. Not so, it would seem, for the Massachusetts Board of Rabbis (MBR). Recently, MBR joined forces with the Hamas front group CAIR (the Council on American Islamic Relations) to picket the Ahavath Torah Congregation in the South Shore town of Stoughton for hosting speakers whom CAIR calls “anti-Muslim hate group leaders.” The scare campaign ended up working. The synagogue had to permanently shut down its speaker series after CAIR and MBR publicized the synagogue’s address on social media. The synagogue’s rabbi, Jonathan Hausman, got death threats and was forced to hire security guards for his family.

Although Liberman is pushing for a Unity Government without the “messianic right”, what he campaigned on was the need for a new social contract between the religious and the secular. His demands were reasonable rather than outrageous. He repeated from time to time.

“We will not concede on passing the ultra-Orthodox conscription law, in its original format,” he wrote. “We will not concede on [the demand to] repeal the mini-markets law. We will not concede on [demands for] public transportation on Shabbat. We will not concede on [demands for] civil marriage, and we will demand the inclusion of core curriculum studies in the ultra-Orthodox education system. These are our preconditions, and until we hear words in this spirit, there is nothing to talk about.”

On the other hand Netanyahu’s wish list is that 1) he be the next PM, 2) that the government passes an immunity bill to protect him. Read more…

A unity coalition proposal by President Reuven Rivlin stalled when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wouldn’t commit to not seek parliamentary immunity from his corruption investigations, according to a TV report Thursday.

The Channel 13 report delineated Rivlin’s proposal for a power-sharing rotation between Netanyahu and his centrist opponent Benny Gantz following the September 17 election.

Rivlin suggested that Netanyahu would be prime minister first, but would take a leave of absence from the position when he is indicted.

Americans and viewers around the world have been transfixed this week by the first public hearing by the U.S. House of Representatives on the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

At the center of the proceedings was the testimony of two veteran officials: one a State Department veteran, and the other a career soldier and diplomat. The question of whether or not they helped the Democrats who are stage-managing the hearings to make their case that Trump committed an impeachable offense when he requested that Ukraine look into what he claimed was alleged corruption involving former Vice President Joe Biden is a matter of partisan dispute. Still, there’s no doubt that their testimony reflected the bitter antagonism felt by many, if not most, of those in the Foreign Service and other long-serving members of the federal bureaucracy.

T. Belman.  How is it that all of the western world embraces transgenderism at the same time. (I can’t even imagine one country doing so.)  For that matter it has embraced the whole education  agenda as Korol points out.

The answer is that the UN mandates it through one of its committees. Of course these pronouncements are not binding or so they tell us, but honorable members of the UN embrace them as in the Paris accord.  Even the agreement with Iran was not signed or even binding but everyone honoured it.

The EU dictates to its members and thus the members are no longer sovereign.The same goes for the UN.

Republicans push for local government to be responsible for most things, whereas the democrats push for central government to have all the jurisdiction so that they can impose their will on local government.  This is the same thing. Decisions should be made at the local level except for a limited number of  areas such as Defense.  Education should also be determined at the local level, or at least at the state level.

The problem started in the sixties when a new directive came down from on high. No longer would teachers encourage competition. Instead they would encourage cooperation.

A letter written by a local elementary school teacher, I’ll call “Mrs. Krieg,” was brought to my attention by a mutual acquaintance.  In light of the notice that honor classes will be discontinued, she thoughtfully agreed that equity (defined as fairness and impartiality) in the schools should benefit all students.  Regrettably, she has been influenced by terminology that has been devalued and redefined to become a tool for social engineering among students.  Such revisionism has been applied to Equity, Diversity and Social Justice, and comes at the expense of freedom and true justice.

Academia, from kindergarten to university, is disinviting valuable speakers, and turning patriots into globalists. Curricula, textbooks and teaching methods are being changed, inspiration quenched, and competition discouraged by an equalizing grading system, engineering the children’s psyche to produce a compliant, nonproductive generation.

The Hague for International Cooperation, THINK

The European Court of Justice issued on Tuesday 12th November its much-anticipated judgment in the Psagot Winery Case, concerning the question how products imported into Europe from the “occupied Palestinian territories” should be labeled. A legal analysis of the judgment shows that this judgment is seriously flawed. This case is yet another example of how law has become politicized.

The Court ruled that, in order to ensure that European consumers are not misled about the provenance of imported products, “foodstuffs originating in a territory occupied by the State of Israel must bear not only the indication of that territory but also, where those foodstuffs come from a locality or a group of localities constituting an Israeli settlement within that territory, the indication of that provenance.”

There are many reasons why this judgment is problematic, including the fact that it picks out one specific case of “occupation” in the world and subjects it to condemnation. That is not only unfair, it is a breach of Israel’s right to be treated equally.

T. Belman. In my opinion, Israel shouldn’t seek a cease fire. Instead, Israel should continue to pound Islamic Jidad until Islamic Jihad stops firing rockets. Surely, Israel can fight a two front war. She should be able to “focus on the north” while pounding the south.

Nor should Israel warn Hamas to stay out of it. It should go without saying.

Finally, Israel should not stop pounding them until 24 hours after they stop. They must pay a heavy price for their attacks.

The IDF Spokesman confirmed today that a ceasefire was achieved in the south, noting that the Black Belt battle plan had achieved its goals.

According to the source, Islamic Jihad and other organizations agreed to the Egyptian proposal for an immediate ceasefire and to conduct demonstrations along the border fence peacefully, while Israel agreed to the Egyptian proposal for an immediate ceasefire, cessation of targeted killings, and cessation of shootings at protesters along the fence. A ceasefire was also reported in Arab media.

“We achieved all goals within 48 hours,” said Spokesman Brigadier General Hedy Silberman, “we must continue to focus on the northern arena – Iranian activity is not just in Syria.

360 rockets have been fired into Israel between Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening, the IDF spokesperson said.

“From the morning hours of Tuesday until 5:30 pm, 360 rockets launched from the Gaza Strip that crossed into Israeli territory have been identified.

“Air defense fighters intercepted many rockets, and the percentage of interceptions stands at over 90%.”
