White House senior adviser Jared Kushner is to formally unveil the first part of his Middle East peace plan during a Bahrain conference next week, outlining a path for development of the fragile economies of the Palestinian territories and three neighboring Arab countries.

The following are some facts about the “economic vision,” drawn from White House documents reviewed by Reuters and described exclusively by Kushner and his aides, who are hoping to gain traction for their proposals during the June 25-26 gathering:

White House releases detailed economic plan for Palestinian people

JPOST

The economic component of the peace plan is out: Three days ahead of the Bahrain summit, the White House surprisingly released the financial part of the “deal of the century” Saturday. Under the title “Peace to Prosperity – the economic plan: A new vision for the Palestinian People,” the Trump administration published a 40-page document that lays out a detailed vision in all aspects of life, from roads and rail to taxes and education. The plan is built upon three pillars: “The people,” “the economy,” and “the government.”

According to the document, “with the potential to facilitate more than $50 billion in new investment over ten years, Peace to Prosperity represents the most ambitious and comprehensive international effort for the Palestinian people to date. It has the ability to fundamentally transform the West Bank and Gaza and to open a new chapter in Palestinian history—one defined, not by adversity and loss, but by freedom and dignity.”

UK Rabbi to house of Lords: “Rise of antisemitism today similar to holocaust era”

Former UK Chief Rabbi argued that a society that tolerates anti-Semitism or any form of hate has forfeited all moral credibility.

Arutz Sheva

Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, formerly the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, spoke on Thursday in a House of Lords debate on worldwide anti-Semitism.

In his remarks, the rabbi argued that a society, or a political party, that tolerates anti-Semitism or any form of hate, has forfeited all moral credibility.

“I’ve just returned from a conference in Warsaw. It’s a city I don’t know well. And I was shaken to discover that the Warsaw Ghetto, which existed between November 1940 and May 1943, was pretty much in the center of town. With its 9 foot high walls topped by barbed wire, holding 400,000 Jews, its existence must have been known by everyone in Warsaw,” he said.

AN ASSUMPTION OF DIGNITY

By Tabitha Korol

Rashida Tlaib, the Muslim congresswoman who proclaimed that she feels more Palestinian than American in Congress, and wrapped herself in a Palestinian terrorist flag at her victory party on Friday, May 10, proudly declared, “There’s always kind of a calming feeling, I tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust.”  We were deeply offended but not surprised as she had already revealed her lack of empathy for the tragic suffering of so many millions of innocents because she was  raised in a culture of disrespect, contempt, bloodshed and death. The Hebrew Commandments mandate respect and reciprocity (The Golden Rule), and the Hebrew and Christian Bibles were able to humanize the savages that had existed previously, while the Koran commands that Muslims torment and kill Jews, Christians, and others unless they convert to Islam (2:120; 3:56; 3:85; 3:118; 3:178; 5:14; and more).  Tlaib added, “When I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their ‘human dignity,’ their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people’s passports.”

Without Israel and the Palestinians, what progress can be made in Bahrain?

By Jackson Richman

Without Israel and the Palestinians, what progress can be made in Bahrain?

With both Israeli and Palestinian officials absent from an upcoming economic summit in Bahrain, how much progress can possibly be made at what has been described as the first step in the US administration’s long-awaited plan for Middle East peace?

According to American Enterprise Institute resident scholar and former Pentagon official Michael Rubin, “A donors’ conference absent Israelis and Palestinians would be a bit of an embarrassment. That [being] said, both economic integration and Palestinian self-sufficiency are keys to a better future, deal or no deal.”

Despite being told Israel would participate in the conference by the United States, Jerusalem has yet to receive an invitation to the event. Although the Prime Minister’s Office has denied reports Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has no intention of “chasing an invitation,” it appears Netanyahu respects Washington’s decision on the matter, a senior Israeli official told Channel 13 News.

A heinous rape case stuns the nation, but a hasty indictment is no shock to some

The story of how Mahmoud Qadusa went from facing calls for his execution to possible release in just days shines light on biases Palestinian deal with in Israel’s justice system

On Wednesday, Mahmoud Qadusa appeared at the Ofer Military Court for the first time since being indicted for the rape of a seven-year-old Israeli girl.

But in the court of public opinion, the 46-year-old Palestinian custodian had been convicted the moment police lifted the gag order over their investigation on Sunday evening.

The details of the alleged crime rattled the country and led to thousands of posts on social media. Soccer moms, senior ministers and many in between expressed outrage over the suspect’s capacity to drag a young girl across town against her will and rape her as two friends pinned her down and laughed.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday night urged Iran to come to the table to hold talks in a message conveyed through Oman, and warned that a US strike against the Islamic Republic could be imminent, according to a report Friday morning.

“In his message, Trump said he was against any war with Iran and wanted to talk to Tehran about various issues… he gave a short period of time to get our response, but Iran’s immediate response was that it is up to Supreme Leader [Ali] Khamenei to decide about this issue,” an unnamed official told Reuters.

US schools achieve high Marx

by Tabitha Korol

Vladimir Lenin said, “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”

To understand a culture, one must look to its treatment of the children.  In Africa, for instance, there are countries such as Sudan, Libya, Mali, Chad, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Liberia, Mozambique and Uganda, where war profiteers use child soldiers to battle their government.  They may be recruited or kidnapped, some forced to kill family members so that they may never return to their homes.  Most are boys but as many as 40% may be girls who are also used as sex slaves for the military.  These are majority- or significantly-Muslim countries.

Judical Activism? A view from the left.

By Yuval Shany, JPOST

The “legislative blitz” which the coalition had planned prior to the calling of new elections, and which will almost certainly be on the government’s agenda following those elections, if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reelected, is intended to turn back the clock; to undo the “constitutional revolution” of the 1990s, which allowed the High Court of Justice to revoke those laws passed by the Knesset that are deemed by the court to be in contravention of Israel’s basic laws; to do away with the reasonableness standard in administrative decision making that the Supreme Court began to develop back in the 1950s; and to restrict judicial review to cases brought by those directly affected by the reviewed measures only. In other words, the new government might take Israel back 70 years, as a response to the “judicial activism” that has purportedly stripped the government and the Knesset of their ability to govern.

Kelly Craft, the new US Ambassidor to UN loves Israel

WASHINGTON – Nikki Haley was one of the biggest advocates for Israel to ever fill the position of Ambassador to the UN. After her departure, Israeli diplomats were worried that whoever would be appointed as her successor, would not be as pro-Israel as Haley.

Kelly Craft, the US Ambassador to Canada, was nominated in February by President Donald Trump as the Ambassador to the UN. Craft, a major Republican donor and operative from Kentucky, started her own business advisory firm in Lexington in 2004. She is married to billionaire coal baron Joe Craft.

Israeli diplomats in Washington and New York told the Post that they are not aware of Craft’s record regarding Israel. However, the top Israeli diplomat in Canada, where Craft currently serves as Ambassador, said that the would-be Ambassador is a strong supporter of Israel.

The deconstruction and breakdown of US education: AOC as a product

AOC is so very much like so many tens of thousands of young Americans who now receive an education that costs families $40,000-$60,000 per year and yet fails to teach how to think instead of spouting the false narratives they are taught.

By Rabbi Prof Dov Fischer, INN

“The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border. . . .‘Never Again’ means something.”– AO-C

“Concentration camps were places where Nazis inflicted slave labor, torture and death upon innocent Jews removed from their homes at gunpoint and transported there in cattle cars.  To use Holocaust terminology regarding the refugee situation at the border is deeply offensive, and for Rep. Ocasio-Cortez to first use the term ‘Never Again’ and then deny making the comparison is compellingly dishonest.”

– Rabbi Avrohom Gordimer, Chairman of the 1,000-member Rabbinic Circle of Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV)

“Trivializing the Holocaust is a form of Holocaust denial. Jews were not sneaking into countries illegally, nor did they anticipate incarceration like these illegals do. Neither are illegal immigrants forced into labor or tortured, much less being systematically murdered. It is doubly shameful that she is trying to excuse or justify her statement, rather than apologizing.”

– Rabbi Steven Pruzansky, CJV Senior Rabbinic Fellow

Feiglin: There will be connections

“We cannot wait another generation to bring Zehut’s philosophy,” says party chairman.

By Orli Harari, INN

Moshe Feiglin

The chairman of the Zehut party, former Knesset member Moshe Feiglin, discussed on Thursday the possibility of running for the Knesset in a technical bloc with other right-wing parties.

“We cannot wait another generation to bring Zehut’s philosophy. The entire world already understands the idea of ??the free market, the idea of ??abundance, we have to bring it to Israel and we must bring it with force,” Feiglin said in a live broadcast on his Facebook page.

Feiglin added that in the last few days he was approached by parties that offered him reserved spots on their Knesset list, but rejected the offers. “I have been receiving very significant offers from all kinds of parties, receiving proposals that mean that my spot and perhaps the spot of another candidate from Zehut in the next Knesset is guaranteed.”

The Department of Anti-Israel Studies

By Victor Rosenthal

I met Prof. Cary Nelson on Monday. Nelson, Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Illinois, is former president of the American Association of University Professors, and the author of many books and articles on diverse subjects.

Nelson showed us his new book, Israel Denial: Anti-Zionism, Anti-Semitism, & the Faculty Campaign Against the Jewish State. I only looked at it for a few minutes, but Elder of Ziyon has a complete review here. I want to write a little about the academic world that makes such a book necessary.

It’s an attempt to push back against the remarkably ubiquitous participation of Western humanities and social-sciences university faculty in the process of demonization of Israel. It’s axiomatic that today’s college students are tomorrow’s political and business leaders, and the fact that most Western universities are monolithic anti-Israel environments today is not encouraging for the future.

The Humanitarian Hoax of “Neutral” Google Searches: Killing America With Kindness – hoax 33

by Linda Goudsmit, PUNDICITY

The Humanitarian Hoax is a deliberate and deceitful tactic of presenting a destructive policy as altruistic. The humanitarian huckster presents himself as a compassionate advocate when in fact he is the disguised enemy.

The humanitarian hoax of neutral Google searches is a dangerous example of destruction presented as altruism.

Google is an American multinational technology company that specializes in internet-related services and products including online advertising technologies, search engine, cloud computing, software, and hardware. Google’s revenues in 2018 were a whopping $75 billion, and its market capitalization a staggering $791 billion – just behind Amazon’s market capitalization of $802 billion.

Google is currently the nation’s premier web-based information outlet with 63,000 searches per second, 3.8 million per minute, and 5.8 billion searches a day. So, what is the problem?

Tikkunism Begets Misoziony

by Victor Rosenthal

To be a free nation in our land The land of Zion and Jerusalem Hatikvah, the national anthem of Israel

This is not a book review. The book that I won’t review (because there are some books that even I, who read Mein Kampf through to the end, won’t read) is a collection of essays edited by Carolyn L. Karcher called Reclaiming Judaism from Zionism: Stories of Personal Transformation. Those whose transformations are described in the book include some of the best-known contemporary Jewish misozionists (extreme Israel-haters, pronounced mis-OZ-yuh-nists), like Rebecca Vilkomerson and Cecilie Surasky of “A Jewish Voice for Peace” (JVP), the communist Joel Beinin, JVP Rabbis Alissa Wise and Brant Rosen (see his nakba day prayer here), Ariel Gold of Code Pink, historian Hasia R. Diner, and 33 other Jews who hate the Jewish state.

If I’m not going to even read the book, why mention it? Because the author provides a perfect example of how some progressive Jews have combined a new religion – they insist that it is Judaism, but I think it is sufficiently different to deserve a new name, Tikkunism– with some historical distortions, in order to claim that Judaism and Zionism are incompatible.

Hawley to Introduce Bill Making It Easier to Sue Big Tech Firms Over Political Bias

By JACK CROWE, NATIONAL REVIEW

Senator Josh Hawley (R, Mo.) on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. January 3, 2019
Senator Josh Hawley (R., Mo.) plans to introduce legislation that would make it easier for consumers to sue big tech companies that display overt political bias, his office announced Wednesday.

The bill would make firms like Facebook, Youtube, and Google legally liable for user-generated content, unless and until they can demonstrate that their content moderation processes are unaffected by political bias.

“This legislation simply states that if the tech giants want to keep their government-granted immunity, they must bring transparency and accountability to their editorial processes and prove that they don’t discriminate,” Hawley said in a news release.
