Israel accused the Palestinian Authority of inciting a religious war on the Temple Mount after a Palestinian Molotov cocktail attack on an Israeli police station on the holy site sparked an afternoon riot.

Police closed the al-Aqsa compound for the remainder of the day but are expected to fully reopen it Wednesday.

“Abu Mazen [PA President Mahmoud Abbas] continued to lie and incite violence together with the terror organizations of Murabitoun and Hamas, in an attempt to ignite a fire and cause a religious war on the Temple Mount,” Public Safety Minister Gilad Erdan said.

Europe’s Anti-Immigration Left

By Daniel Pipes, MEFORUM

With very few exceptions, liberals in the United States favor high levels of immigration; and the American left goes further, calling to “Abolish ICE” (a reference to Immigration Customs and Enforcement, America’s border security agency). But developments in Europe suggest this near-unanimity could one day shatter.

Since the end of World War II, Europe’s left has overwhelmingly seen the free movement of labor and immigration as the best ways to challenge corporate interests; in the words of progressive writer David Adler (on whose article, “Meet Europe’s Left Nationalists,” I have relied here), these “hastened the pace of history and heightened capitalism’s contradictions.”

Accordingly, the left helped build the European Union and then pass the 1985 Schengen Agreement (that virtually eliminated internal borders among 26 European countries with a population of more than 400 million). It also enthusiastically welcomed non-Europeans, an approach that culminated in 2015-16 with Angela Merkel (a leftist in conservative disguise) taking in a million-plus migrants, mostly from the Middle East, who were met in Germany by a Willkommenskultur, or welcoming culture.

Political Powerlessness Is Expensive

American Jews have only begun to pay the price demanded by the Democratic Party’s new math

By Lee Smith, TABLET

Ilhan Omar is both a canny political operator and a con artist who specializes in gutter smears. And thus there is no question about who won the fight she picked with Nancy Pelosi and Democratic congressional leadership, desperate to sweep the party’s anti-Semitism problem under the rug.

Speaking live on CNN before the introduction of a resolution that was originally intended to condemn anti-Semitism, and indirectly Omar, but wound up condemning “all forms of hate,” Pelosi looked like a deer caught in the headlights, stuck between one of the Democrats’  traditional constituencies and the party’s insurgent progressive base.

When an Antisemite Openly Roams the Halls of Congress

By Shmuel Boteach, ALGEMEINER

The Democrats leading the House of Representatives could not bring themselves to make a simple declaration condemning Congresswoman Ilhan Omar…

But today, in the progressive 21st century, Muslim antisemitism has become stronger than ever. A 2014 ADL survey of global antisemitism found that the most ferociously antisemitic region in the world is, by far, the Muslim nations of the Middle East. Unsurprisingly, the Palestinians were far ahead of almost all contenders, with a stunning 93 percent holding antisemitic opinions. Not far behind was Iraq, with 92 percent. Egypt, the most populous and influential Arab nation, came in at 75 percent. Close on its heels were 74 percent of Saudi Arabians. The survey found that, as a whole, a horrifying 74 percent of Middle Easterners hold antisemitic beliefs — 200 million out of a total population of 275 million.

Making peace with the Arab states and the PA must be unlinked

Rest assured that immediately after the signing of an agreement, Hamas would launch rockets, incendiary balloons and thousands of demonstrators and terrorists against the fence.\

By Hillel Frisch, JPOST

US President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and numerous US officials have warned of the coming storm: The concessions required from both sides as part of the “deal of the century” will be painful.

To cushion the pain and reduce resistance, US officials, such as Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt, offer Israel the bait of peace with Arab states as the reward for painful concessions on the Palestinian issue. The theme finds numerous supporters among Israeli politicians, think tanks and academic experts, who invoke the Arab Peace Initiative of 2002 as the basis for such a solution.

However, accepting the linkage between the two issues would be a grave strategic mistake for Israel. Simply put, the rewards of making peace beyond the two Arab states with which Israel has a peace treaty already – Egypt and Jordan – are too paltry compared to the complexity and importance of the Palestinian issue.

Crusade of Tears

By Alex Maistrovoy

Children’s crusade for peace: how globalists sell whole generations into slavery

Last summer, a group of young people travelled to Tajikistan. They wanted to prove themselves and the whole world that evil does not exist, that all people are good and the stories about Muslim terrorists are only a scarecrow for stupid children. They were riding bicycles when a car crashed into them at full speed. Those who did not die immediately were murdered by people shouting “Allah Akbar”.

In December of the same year, two young Scandinavian girls travelled to Morocco where local young people invited them for a night picnic in the Atlas Mountains. The next morning the girls were found with their throats cut and the “pleasant young people” published a statement that it was a revenge on the West.
In October 2015, a young activist of ‘No Borders’ group went to a refugee camp to help Sudanese refugees and was brutally raped (Her friends recommended her not report to police). In 2018 in Germany, three German women were killed by their partners who were Afghan migrants.

The Myth Of The Non-Jewish Abraham

By Jerry Honigman

So, unless you’ve been away in another galaxy (but pay attention to what’s happening in our world otherwise), you’ve heard of the BDS movement, “Progressive” higher indoctrination instead of education on too many campuses, increasing worldwide anti-Semitism, and the exploits of The Three Amigas and their abettors in the USA and elsewhere by now https://ekurd.net/the-three-amigas-2019-02-19. I have too. And then the next thing happened…

I’m getting too old and too cranky to put up with this manure (not that I ever did). You’ll soon see what I mean below.

Netanyqahu: Money to Hamas part of srategy to keep Palestinians divided

“Now that we are supervising, we know it’s going to humanitarian causes,” the source said, paraphrasing Netanyahu.

By Lahav Harkov, JPOST

Gaza Qatar

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended Israel’s regular allowing of Qatari funds to be transferred into Gaza, saying it is part of a broader strategy to keep Hamas and the Palestinian Authority separate, a source in Monday’s Likud faction meeting said.

Netanyahu explained that, in the past, the PA transferred the millions of dollars to Hamas in Gaza. He argued that it was better for Israel to serve as the pipeline to ensure the funds don’t go to terrorism.
“Now that we are supervising, we know it’s going to humanitarian causes,” the source said, paraphrasing Netanyahu.

The prime minister also said that, “whoever is against a Palestinian state should be for” transferring the funds to Gaza, because maintaining a separation between the PA in the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza helps prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Strenuous Israeli diplomacy with Egypt and Jordan defuses escalating disputes over Gaza, Temple Mount

DEBKA

Israel’s Mossad Director Yossie Cohen and National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabat were able to avert violent blow-ups around the Gaza Strip and Temple Mount’s Golden Gate by intense negotiations with Cairo and Amman over week’s end.

DEBKAfile’s Exclusive sources disclose the content of the agreements and understandings procured by the two Israeli officials for cooling the two flashpoints:

Golden Gate:

  1. Jordan, which owns a custodial role for Temple Mount’s Muslim sites, accepted Israel’s position against converting the Golden Gate (Gate of Mercy) into a mosque or place of Muslim prayer. At the same time, Israel agreed to keep archeologists from researching the ancient double-arched gate, which is believed to stand on the same site since the days of the First Jewish Temple. This met the demands of Israeli Arabs and the Tanzim-Fatah faction of the Palestinian Authority.
  2. If Jordan wanted to push the Palestinians of Jerusalem into a clash with Israel over Temple Mount, Israel was ready and would resist any attempt to change the status quo which governs Jerusalem’s shrines.

Ongoing Protests In Jordan Threaten To Destabilize The Regime

By: Z. Harel* MEMRI

Introduction

The public unrest in Jordan is not dying down, and the frequent protests are threatening to destabilize the country. Not only are the kingdom’s dire economic straits – one of the factors driving the protests – not improving despite harsh austerity measures, but the situation is even worsening. Alongside the calls to address the economic problems, various political forces – including not only the traditional opposition but also tribal leaders, former regime officials and retired military officers – have been demanding political reforms and even calling to limit the powers of the King.

Several main forces have been active in the protests in Jordan in the recent months:

Jordan’s survival depends on Al-Aqsa

By Dr Reuven Berko, ISRAEL HAYOM

If one sign that the messiah is coming is the appearance of supernatural phenomena, then given the situation in Jerusalem we are on the eve of his arrival. Oddly enough, it is precisely around the sealed Gate of Mercy on the Temple Mount that a series of mishaps have recently occurred that suggest the messiah might also pass through on his donkey. This despite the fact that the Arabs placed a graveyard at the entrance to the site to prevent priests from entering – and that the messiah is not a priest.

The structure directly adjacent to the Gate of Mercy served as a college for Islamic studies until it was closed by the police in 2003 due to Hamas and Islamic Movement activity – financed by Turkey – there. The court order to shut the site down has since played into the hands of both the Palestinian Authority and the Jordanians, who recognize how Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is acting to undermine them and other Arab regimes and have therefore accepted the closure with “passive” understanding.

Ilhan imbibed antisemitism with her mother’s milk

ByVictor Rosenthal

Social changes that used to take decades now happen in months, and trends that took years now appear in weeks. This is the upside or the downside, as you prefer, of mass communication technology, especially social media. So anyone who thinks that their place in the world is guaranteed today may be unpleasantly surprised when they wake up tomorrow and find that what they thought were firm foundations are already washing away.

So it is with American Jews who, if they pay attention, might notice that in a matter of weeks the taboos against suggesting that they dominate American foreign policy with their “benjamins,” that they are more loyal to Israel than the US, or even that they have malign powers that allow them to “hypnotize the world,” have disappeared. They might see their trusted Democratic allies in the Congress, even the Jewish ones, scuttling away from punishing or even rebuking Rep. Ilhan Omar, to vote for a resolution that, by criticizing every imaginable kind of bigotry, ends up saying nothing. Even Omar, the original perpetrator of the antisemitic slander, proudly voted for it! Even for the US Congress, it was a remarkably craven display.

$50 Per Barrel Continues U.S. Oil Boom, Bankrupts Saudi Arabia

By Chriss Street, AMERICAN THINKER

The U.S. oil boom at a $50 a barrel price continues to profitably accelerate, while Saudi Arabia oil production with an $80-85 a barrel break-even cost continues to shrivel.

Reuters reported a 2018 average wellhead break-even price of $40.95 for America’s 5 top shale oil production regions of Eagle Ford, Bakken, Permian Midland, Permian Delaware, and Niobara. Even adding a 10 percent corporate overhead cost, the breakeven price is about $45 a barrel is still profitable on $50 a barrel oil.

With the price of West Texas Intermediate averaging $64.90 per barrel in 2018 and $56.07 currently, the U.S. Energy Information Agency reported American production hit an all time high of 12.1 million barrels per day (b/d) last week. EIA forecasts U.S. production average will grow to 12.4 million b/d in 2019 and 13.2 million b/d in 2020.

How antisemitism became unleashed in the West

By Melanie Phillips, JPOST

Why is antisemitism now out of control in the west?

Jew-hatred, alas, is always with us. The most we can expect is that it is kept down by unequivocal social disapproval. What causes it to explode into an uncontrolled epidemic is the weakening of that powerful social stigma.

After the Holocaust, the enormity of that crime was such that antisemitism went underground. Any such expressions that did occur were regarded as the province of cranks on the fringes of society who were accordingly shunned. What tells you the Jews are in trouble is when such expressions are regarded by a critical mass of the population with indifference or even approval.

Ayelet Shaked and the Rule of Law Mafia

In Israel, the legislature is not sovereign to legislate, and the executive lacks actual control to execute the instructions of the legislature. The Supreme Court has seized the government’s power to determine policies.

By Dr. Aviel Sheyin-Stevens, INN

This maxim could serve attorneys well: Do not investigate what you cannot litigate. This is expedient in advanced democracies but hardly applicable in Israel, because Israel is a judicial despotism. The “rule of law” in Israel is no longer the dispassionate enforcement of duly promulgated laws, but has become the rule of unchecked lawyers and judges, which President Reuven Rivlin once referred to as the tyranny of the “rule of law mafia.”

In Israel, the legislature is not sovereign to legislate, and the executive lacks actual control to execute the instructions of the legislature. The Supreme Court has seized the government’s power to determine policies.

The dictum of Aharon Barak, President of the Supreme Court of Israel (1995-2006), that “everything is justiciable”, everything is liable to trial, makes nonsense of the rule of law, and Israel’s reputation as a democracy. The rules of law that Barak’s judicial opinions created have no counterpart in advanced democracies: a court can countermand military orders; decide “whether to prevent the release of a terrorist within the framework of a political ‘package deal’” and direct the government to move the security wall that keeps suicide bombers from entering Israel; that judges can only be removed by other judges; etc. This passes for the rule of law in Israel: arbitrary decrees by unelected officials.

US military buildup in Iraq via Israel and Jordan ready for clash with pro-Iranian Iraqi militias

DEBKA

DEBKAfile Exclusive: US troop reinforcements were flown to Iraq on Wednesday, March 6 ready for an offensive by Iraq’s two largest pro-Iranian militias against US forces in northern Iraq and Syria. The additional troops were consigned from US bases in Jordan and Israel. The next day, when those militias called for “resistance to US presence in the region,” American forces in the Gulf region and southern Europe, particularly in Romania and Bulgaria, were also placed on high readiness.

Our sources name those militias as Kata’ib Hezbollah and Asaib Ahl al-Haq aka the Khazali Network – both linked to Hizballah, Iran’s Lebanese surrogate.

The US command in the region estimates that American forces in eastern and southern Syria as well as the US bases near the Syrian border are at risk, since both these militias have been deployed by their commander, Al Qods chief Gen. Qassem Solemani, to positions in Syria. They have also  planted covert cells in Gulf emirates.

Jerusalem is part of the Deal of the Century

T. Belman. I am flabergasted. This sounds very credible. Yet for the last year, Mudar has insisted that its all BS and that Israel will be the sovereign to the River.

I JUST TALKED WITH MUDAR AND HE ASSURES ME THAT ISRAEL WILL BE SOVEREIGN TO THE RIVER.

The re-division of the city and transfer of Arab neighborhoods to Palestinian sovereignty • Maintaining Israeli sovereignty over most of the part that was “Jordanian Jerusalem” before ’67, including the Old City • Including more parties in the management of the Temple Mount

Scoop: parts of Trump’s “Deal of the Century” relating to Jerusalem as they were presented to the sides.

Right after the elections, the U.S. plans to place the Deal of the Century on the agenda, and the part on Jerusalem is central. It is intended to force all of the players on the Israeli side to relate to the plan even during negotiations to form a coalition for the new government. Certain parts and ideas of the plan have already been presented to Israel and the Palestinians as well as to Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt, and we publish here for the first time, the outlines (not necessarily in their final form) relating to Jerusalem, as it was presented to the various sides.

US Zionists urge Trump to withdraw controversial legal opinion

As Trump’s Deal of the Century looms, a Carter-era State Department legal opinion surfaces which gives an advantage to the Arab side.

By Orli Harari, INN

With Trump’s Deal of the Century in the offing, an anti-Israel legal opinion in the State Department has surfaced, which outlaws all Israeli communities over the Green Line. CUFI, which speaks for 4 million Christians, as well as the RCA and ZOA, are urging the Administration to rescind the controversial document. The fear is that Israel will be in a disadvantageous position if the “Deal of the Century” is published and an official pro-Arab legal opinion, negating all settlements, remains intact. Pro-Israel organizations call for the opinion, also known as the Hansell memorandum, to be rescinded, while BDS organizations are relying on it. The controversial legal opinion is even starring in a Palestinian-American lawsuit filed against Sheldon Adelson and other prominent pro-Israel Americans. Since the opinion, authored by the late Attorney Herbert Hansell at the request of his superiors in the Carter Administration, has not been revoked or updated, it is still valid.

Distinguished legal experts in the West, as well as the State of Israel, are adamant that Israel’s settlements (communities in Judea-Samaria) are legal. But the Hansell memorandum, penned by the legal adviser to the State Department under President Carter, unilaterally adopts Arab legal arguments, bolstering an anti-Israel position according to which all Israel’s settlements in Judea and Samaria are actually illegal.

Trump Reportedly Rolling Out ‘Cost Plus 50’ To Put the World on Notice

By Ben Marquis, CONSERVATIVE TRIBUNE

Almost since the start of his campaign for the White House, President Donald Trump has consistently noted that U.S. allies fail to pay their “fair share” of the tremendous costs incurred to American taxpayers by the numerous military bases and troop deployments maintained in strategic locations around the globe.

This, despite those allied nations deriving for themselves considerable security benefits from the presence of U.S. military bases and troops on their soil, which, admittedly, often serve U.S. strategic interests just as much as the security interests of those particular allies, if not more so in some cases.

As such, it was recently reported by Bloomberg that the Trump administration has been considering a new foreign policy to rectify that apparent fiscal shortfall by requiring U.S. allies that host military installations and troops to pick up a larger share of the costs.
