Ayelet Shaked and the Rule of Law Mafia

In Israel, the legislature is not sovereign to legislate, and the executive lacks actual control to execute the instructions of the legislature. The Supreme Court has seized the government’s power to determine policies.

By Dr. Aviel Sheyin-Stevens, INN

This maxim could serve attorneys well: Do not investigate what you cannot litigate. This is expedient in advanced democracies but hardly applicable in Israel, because Israel is a judicial despotism. The “rule of law” in Israel is no longer the dispassionate enforcement of duly promulgated laws, but has become the rule of unchecked lawyers and judges, which President Reuven Rivlin once referred to as the tyranny of the “rule of law mafia.”

In Israel, the legislature is not sovereign to legislate, and the executive lacks actual control to execute the instructions of the legislature. The Supreme Court has seized the government’s power to determine policies.

The dictum of Aharon Barak, President of the Supreme Court of Israel (1995-2006), that “everything is justiciable”, everything is liable to trial, makes nonsense of the rule of law, and Israel’s reputation as a democracy. The rules of law that Barak’s judicial opinions created have no counterpart in advanced democracies: a court can countermand military orders; decide “whether to prevent the release of a terrorist within the framework of a political ‘package deal’” and direct the government to move the security wall that keeps suicide bombers from entering Israel; that judges can only be removed by other judges; etc. This passes for the rule of law in Israel: arbitrary decrees by unelected officials.

US military buildup in Iraq via Israel and Jordan ready for clash with pro-Iranian Iraqi militias

DEBKA

DEBKAfile Exclusive: US troop reinforcements were flown to Iraq on Wednesday, March 6 ready for an offensive by Iraq’s two largest pro-Iranian militias against US forces in northern Iraq and Syria. The additional troops were consigned from US bases in Jordan and Israel. The next day, when those militias called for “resistance to US presence in the region,” American forces in the Gulf region and southern Europe, particularly in Romania and Bulgaria, were also placed on high readiness.

Our sources name those militias as Kata’ib Hezbollah and Asaib Ahl al-Haq aka the Khazali Network – both linked to Hizballah, Iran’s Lebanese surrogate.

The US command in the region estimates that American forces in eastern and southern Syria as well as the US bases near the Syrian border are at risk, since both these militias have been deployed by their commander, Al Qods chief Gen. Qassem Solemani, to positions in Syria. They have also  planted covert cells in Gulf emirates.

Jerusalem is part of the Deal of the Century

T. Belman. I am flabergasted. This sounds very credible. Yet for the last year, Mudar has insisted that its all BS and that Israel will be the sovereign to the River.

I JUST TALKED WITH MUDAR AND HE ASSURES ME THAT ISRAEL WILL BE SOVEREIGN TO THE RIVER.

(Translated to English by Sally Zahav for the Sovereignty Movement)

The re-division of the city and transfer of Arab neighborhoods to Palestinian sovereignty • Maintaining Israeli sovereignty over most of the part that was “Jordanian Jerusalem” before ’67, including the Old City • Including more parties in the management of the Temple Mount

Scoop: parts of Trump’s “Deal of the Century” relating to Jerusalem as they were presented to the sides.

Right after the elections, the U.S. plans to place the Deal of the Century on the agenda, and the part on Jerusalem is central. It is intended to force all of the players on the Israeli side to relate to the plan even during negotiations to form a coalition for the new government. Certain parts and ideas of the plan have already been presented to Israel and the Palestinians as well as to Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt, and we publish here for the first time, the outlines (not necessarily in their final form) relating to Jerusalem, as it was presented to the various sides.

US Zionists urge Trump to withdraw controversial legal opinion

As Trump’s Deal of the Century looms, a Carter-era State Department legal opinion surfaces which gives an advantage to the Arab side.

By Orli Harari, INN

With Trump’s Deal of the Century in the offing, an anti-Israel legal opinion in the State Department has surfaced, which outlaws all Israeli communities over the Green Line. CUFI, which speaks for 4 million Christians, as well as the RCA and ZOA, are urging the Administration to rescind the controversial document. The fear is that Israel will be in a disadvantageous position if the “Deal of the Century” is published and an official pro-Arab legal opinion, negating all settlements, remains intact. Pro-Israel organizations call for the opinion, also known as the Hansell memorandum, to be rescinded, while BDS organizations are relying on it. The controversial legal opinion is even starring in a Palestinian-American lawsuit filed against Sheldon Adelson and other prominent pro-Israel Americans. Since the opinion, authored by the late Attorney Herbert Hansell at the request of his superiors in the Carter Administration, has not been revoked or updated, it is still valid.

Distinguished legal experts in the West, as well as the State of Israel, are adamant that Israel’s settlements (communities in Judea-Samaria) are legal. But the Hansell memorandum, penned by the legal adviser to the State Department under President Carter, unilaterally adopts Arab legal arguments, bolstering an anti-Israel position according to which all Israel’s settlements in Judea and Samaria are actually illegal.

Trump Reportedly Rolling Out ‘Cost Plus 50’ To Put the World on Notice

By Ben Marquis, CONSERVATIVE TRIBUNE

Almost since the start of his campaign for the White House, President Donald Trump has consistently noted that U.S. allies fail to pay their “fair share” of the tremendous costs incurred to American taxpayers by the numerous military bases and troop deployments maintained in strategic locations around the globe.

This, despite those allied nations deriving for themselves considerable security benefits from the presence of U.S. military bases and troops on their soil, which, admittedly, often serve U.S. strategic interests just as much as the security interests of those particular allies, if not more so in some cases.

As such, it was recently reported by Bloomberg that the Trump administration has been considering a new foreign policy to rectify that apparent fiscal shortfall by requiring U.S. allies that host military installations and troops to pick up a larger share of the costs.

The false equivalence of Islamophobia and anti-Semitism

In America and Britain, one of the worst tropes of our time gains ground

Douglas Murray, SPECTATOR

Rep. Ilhan Omar rallies with fellow Democrats before voting on H.R. 1

I have been traveling in the Middle East for the last few weeks and slightly regret returning to the maelstrom of ancient animosities and unbridgeable sectarianism that is modern Britain. But in my absence I see that one of the worst tropes of our time has been stalking unhindered across the land. That is, of course, the latest push to make an equivalence between anti-Semitism and the crock term ‘Islamophobia’.

It is not just in the UK that this play has been made. In America over recent days people have been able to follow the progress of the new Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar who has decided to deflect attention from her weekly expressions of anti-Semitism by claiming ‘Islamophobia’. Where this would once have been a fringe play, this time it has been adopted by the Democratic party itself. So we are no longer talking about a harmless misunderstanding here. This is an equivalence that has developed legs.

U.S. Still Hunting for Allied Cooperation in Syria

Decision date passes without commitments; prisoner population swells

By Nancy A. Youssef, WSJ

U.S. Army General Jospeh Votel visiting an airbase at an undisclosed location in northeast Syria in February.

WASHINGTON—Trump administration officials didn’t secure commitments from key European allies to send military forces to Syria, passing a target date set for Friday, but said they would continue building their case for allied involvement to prevent a resurgence of the Islamic State extremist group.

U.S. officials are planning calls with top military and diplomatic leaders from other countries next week, and said they are confident that allies will be a part of a stabilization campaign.

Officials from three key allied countries—the U.K., France and Germany—didn’t respond to requests for comment Friday. European officials have said that they haven’t seen specific U.S. plans for how to secure eastern Syria following the final elimination of Islamic State’s self-proclaimed caliphate.

‘Overwhelming’ Opposition at UN for Israel’s Tax Deduction From Palestinians, Kuwaiti Envoy Says

T. Belman. What’s this got to do with the U.N.?

Mansour Al-Otaibi tells closed-door Security Council meeting the Israeli decision was ‘not acceptable,’ while Greenblatt argues ‘entirely inappropriate to focus on Israel’

An “overwhelming” number of UN Security Council members oppose Israel’s decision to deduct money that Palestinians transfer to the families of people killed, injured or imprisoned for attacks on Israel from their monthly tax revenue, Kuwait’s ambassador to the United Nations said Friday, as the United States accused Palestinians of manufacturing the crisis over the tax transfer.

Mansour Al-Otaibi told reporters after a closed-door council meeting that Israel’s action was “in violation of existing bilateral agreements.”

U.S. Mideast envoy Jason Greenblatt came to New York from Washington to defend close ally Israel. He told the council that the Palestinian Authority‘s decision to reject the latest tax transfer was only hurting the Palestinian people because they were rejecting the 95 percent of the tax revenue that Israel is not withholding, according to a diplomat at the meeting.

When It Comes to Antisemitism, For the Left It’s Suddenly ‘All Lives Matter

By Micha Danzig, JEWISH JOURNAL

On June 23, 2015, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton spoke at a historic African-American church in Missouri. She was met with a great deal of applause when she spoke about religion, racism and access to quality education. But three words got her in trouble: “All lives matter.”

Before using the phrase, Clinton was retelling an anecdote about the lessons she learned from her mother:

I asked her, ‘What kept you going?’ Her answer was very simple. Kindness along the way from someone who believed she mattered. All lives matter.”

Although Clinton’s campaign pointed out almost immediately that Clinton had previously said that “black lives matter,” this didn’t prevent a torrent of criticism and complaints on social media from Clinton’s use of that phrase.

AS THE DEMOCRATS GO SOCIALIST, THEY GO ANTI-SEMITIC

Jew-hate and socialism have always gone hand in hand.

By Daniel Greenfield, FPM

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

“Every government having regard to good morals ought to repress the Jews,” opined Pierre Leroux, the leftist credited with coining the term ‘Socialism’. “When we speak of Jews, we mean the Jewish spirit, the spirit of profit, of lucre, of gain, the spirit of commerce.”

“What is the worldly religion of the Jew? Huckstering. What is his worldly God? Money,” Karl Marx ranted.

American socialism traces its ideological ancestry to Charles Fourier, a French socialist bigot who declared that Jews were the embodiment of capitalism, “parasites, merchants, usurers”, and the “incarnation of commerce: parasitical, deceitful, traitorous and unproductive”.

Model Elizabeth Pipko: ‘Jexodus’ Helps Jewish Millennials Leave the Antisemitic Left

By Robert Kraychick, BREITBARTS.

Fashion model and Jexodus spokesperson Elizabeth Pipko explained her movement’s plans to help young Jews reject partisan Democrat and left-wing politics during a Tuesday interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak.

LISTEN:

“And most importantly, creating an environment where young Jews can feel unafraid, stand up for themselves and their beliefs, and feel free to come to their own conclusions about what’s going on and decide who they want to vote for and how they want to be involved, and not let the media and the narrative decide that for them,” added Pipko.

The dinosaurs and the Palestinian state

The Palestinians have never sought an independent state. All they ever wanted was for the Jews not to have one. Meanwhile, we speak up on behalf of our enemies and assign them ideals they have never held.

By Dror Eydar, ISRAEL HAYOM

Chaim Weizmann and Emir Faisal in Aqaba, Transjordan, April 1918  Photo: Wikipedia

1. You still hear serious people talking out loud about the two-state solution as a reasonable – even inevitable – possibility to the conflict between us and the Arabs of the region: dividing the good land and establishing an Arab state on the hills of Judea and Samaria, which could wind up connecting to the Hamas state in the Gaza Strip to the west and the state of Jordan to the east.

Exactly 100 years have passed since the division of the land was first suggested in the 1919 Faisal–Weizmann Agreement, after World War I. Eighteen years later, in 1937, the Peel Commission (convened to investigate the bloody events of 1936) proposed dividing the land, and a decade later, on Nov. 29, 1947, the U.N. voted in favor of the partition plan. The Arabs refused, and their response was war.

Climate Change Theory: What’s Wrong with it?

By William Lippincott, AMERICAN THINKER

I can’t believe I’m still writing about climate change. I’d have stopped long ago were it not for persistent calls to blow up the U.S. economy in order to save the planet. The cult-like demand for action permeates every part of public life, government, media, academia, even K-12. Rep. Among the draconian policy solutions, Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal would have enormous negative impact on our economy.

For the record, climate does vary — think ice ages. And a combination of natural climate variability and measurement problems make the likelihood of singling out a human fingerprint very low. I look here at how climate alarmism is being sold in a distinctly unscientific manner.

ZOA Appalled: “Antisemitism” House Res. Doesn’t Mention Rep. Omar/Tlaib’s Jew-Hatred

Instead Focuses on “Islamophobia” and White Supremacy

Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) President Morton Klein and ZOA Chair Mark Levenson, Esq. released the following statement:

The woefully inadequate, watered-down, distorted, so-called “antisemitism” House resolution that passed yesterday fails to even mention the major antisemitism problem of violent Islamist attacks on Jews, or that Congresswomen Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Alexandrea Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) repeatedly defamed the Jewish people and the Jewish state – and have never sincerely apologized. Omar, Tlaib and AOC’s scurrilous statements – such as falsely calling Israel “evil,” falsely accusing Jews of committing massacres against innocent Arabs, accusing Jews of “hypnotizing the world,” accusing Jews of dual loyalty, supporting boycotting and sanctioning Israel, accusing those who defend Israel against defamation of “attacking American free speech rights,” and attributing Americans’ support for our strong ally Israel to Jewish money – were what prompted the House to draft a resolution.

In addition, there were deep concerns over Rep. Tlaib erasing Israel from her office map and replacing Israel with Palestine, supporting BDS, writing for Farrakhan’s newspaper, embracing Abbas Hamideh, a Hezbollah supporter who called Israel an ISIS-like terrorist state and literally wrapping herself in the Palestinian-Arab flag at her swearing-in ceremony. Also, there was concern about Rep. AOC praising antisemite Jeremy Corbyn, claiming Israel massacres peaceful protestors, and being a leader of the Democratic Socialists of America, which calls for the destruction of the Jewish State.

Connecting dots creates shocking truth

By Rev. Austin Milesw P.B., AM.PCJA

Lawrence Craig is a patriot who has an incredible library of research material, papers, old history books, and published records regarding practically everything that concerns American Citizens. Especially Godly citizens who truly care about America. He freely shares his gold mine of information with columnists such as this one. It has been suggested by this writer that he do his own column. However he chooses to stay in the background and simply help those columnists on the front lines fighting for the sovereignty of The United States.

The intermarriage of various office holders in America who combine their abilities to tear down our country is staggering. The unbelievable interconnection of the various ‘movers and shakers’ who work against America is shocking to say the least, and to CONNECT THE DOTS will cause readers to slap their foreheads and say, “WHAT?”

So put on a pot of coffee….COFFEE…not Brandy, since there is a risk of overdoing it when these stats are read. Especially when it is realized that the politicos have gotten away with it….so far…and how everybody is connected to everybody making one feel alone in a sea of political crabgrass.
