Was Kahane racist?

Racism is not a charge to be bandied about lightly, but in the case of Kahane, it is used without qualifications.

By David Rubin, INN

Almost thirty years after his brutal assassination by a Muslim terrorist, former Knesset Member Rabbi Meir Kahane is back in the news and the name-calling has returned, as well. This time, however, it’s not directed only at him.

The tactical “Union of Right-Wing Parties” was formed last week, combining the three right-wing lists of the Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home), National Union, and Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) parties, a bold move intended to combine the various right-wing streams of religious Zionism under one roof for the April 9th elections.

The problem for many is that Otzma Yehudit is based on the teachings of Rabbi Kahane, which has aroused the harsh criticism of some liberal rabbis, mostly Reform, in America, plus one noted rabbi in Israel  (See Haaretz, where he is defined as left, and says doesn’t vote Bayit Yehudi) as well as supposedly impartial American organizations with liberal leadership, such as ADL and AIPAC. They have openly attacked the “racist” ideology of Rabbi Kahane, an epithet apparently due to his public campaign decades ago against intermarriage between Arab men and Jewish women and his open call to encourage the emigration of Arabs from Israel.

Should Otzma be allowed in the Knesset?

T. Belman. I am glad that Vic took up the challenge of defending Bibi’s decision. Just yeaterday, I called Martin Sherman and suggested that this is a hot issue and he sould write his next column dealing with it. I think he is going to do so.

Deri: Condemn Otzma Yehudit? No way. Interior Minister and Shas chief Aryeh Deri rejects calls to condemn Otzma Yehudit party. ‘We can work together, why should I condemn them?’

By Victor Rosenthal

Binyamin Netanyahu incurred the wrath of numerous diaspora Jewish organizations last week, including AIPAC, which almost never criticizes an Israeli PM. The issue might be a bit confusing for some, so here are some questions and answers:

Q: What did Bibi do now?
A: He pretty much guaranteed that the extreme right-wing party called Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) would have seats in the Knesset.

Why the People’s Republic of China Fears Religion

T. Belman. I disagree. All dictatorial states including the former USSR and all Islamic countries ban any competing source of indoctrination. Religion is one example and a second is a free press.

The human soul is the one place that can’t be spied on.

The government of the People’s Republic of China knows that, and that’s why the regime fears religion—because it doesn’t know what its people might be praying about or otherwise thinking about.

By James Pinkerton, BREITBART

This picture taken on December 24, 2012 shows young Chinese congregation members praying during the Christmas Eve mass at a Catholic church in Beijing. While China does not officially celebrate Christmas, its popularity continues to grow with non-Christians keen to see and feel the experience of Christmas. AFP PHOTO / â?¦

Of course, the communists in Beijing do know that religion helped bring down the communist regime in Moscow.  For decades, the Roman Catholic Church, especially when it was led by Pope John Paul II, was a notable bulwark of resistance, in Poland and elsewhere, to Bolshevism. (This history has been detailed in many places, including John O’Sullivan’s 2006 book, The President, the Pope, and the Prime Minister: Three Who Changed the World.)

Bolton’s “three state solution” involving Israel, Jordan and Egypt

Ted Belman. John Bolton delivered this speech in May 2017 at Bar Ilan U, approximatedly 3 months after President Trump’s inauguration and approximately one year before he became National Security Advisor. It was also approximately when both Mudar Zahran and I embarked on our plan to introduce our version of the Jordan Option which would see Mudar Zahran becoming President of Jordan in 2018.

The first half of the speech is a fascinating review of the history of the New Jerusalem in America and the Old Jerusaelm in Israel and how they are joined at the hip.

The second half presents his view of what must be done to end the conflict between Jews and Arabs in Israel. Now that he has become US National Security Advisor, he has the opportunity to take his own advice. In fact he has already started to.

From my perspective, there is great similarity between what we each proposed independently of each other as far as I know.

Ambassador John Bolton:

Well thank you very much. Thanks to all of you for coming. I’m really deeply grateful for the tremendous honor of receiving the Guardian of Zion Award. I want to thank Bar-llan University and the Faculty of Jewish Studies. I want to thank the Ingeborg Rennert Center for Jerusalem Studies, and in particular I want to thank Inga and Ira. It’s a great honor to receive the award and it’s an honor being their friends.

Ilhan Omar represents Hamas in Congress.

We need to act now before this blows up in our faces.

PRESS RELEASE
LAURIE CARDOZA-MOORE:
Nashville, Tennessee (2/26/2019) – Thousands of Americans have already signed the Proclaiming Justice to The Nations (PJTN) petition to oust Islamist Congresswoman Ilhan Omar from Congress over her anti-Semitic tirades on Twitter.

Now Laurie Cardoza-Moore, Founder of PJTN and show host of the award-winning Focus On Israel television program, which reaches a weekly global audience of over a billion people in 200 nations, has upped the ante suggesting that Ilhan Omar is a Hamas plant in Congress that must go. This comes after news that Omar was a keynote speaker for Islamic Relief USA in Tampa, FL last Thursday, and will be keynote speaker at an upcoming Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) fundraiser in Los Angeles.

Spies Like Them

Review of ‘Spies of No Country’

By Matti Friedman, COMMENTARY

Isaac Shoshan was born in Aleppo in the early 1920s. The son of a janitor, he grew up poor, living in a small space with several other families, eating mostly flatbreads cooked with the help of cow dung. His mother died when he was a child, and he did not know his birth date. He learned Torah in school and read the verses about the land of Israel. When an emissary from the Zionist movement came to the community and told the Jews of Aleppo that the places they had so long read about and the sites that they had so long sworn to one day return to were real, and only hours away, Isaac paid a smuggler to help him cross the border. He thought he was leaving the Arab world behind. He was wrong.

Dozens of illegal structures in Negev not only remain but grow

Supreme Court rules dozens of structures in Negev Bedouin municipalities be demolished; since ruling, only 2 small structures demolished.

By Mordechai Sones, INN
Illegal Negev structure

Illegal Negev structure – Regavim

Dozens of illegal structures in the Negev stand precisely where they were when the Supreme Court ruled that the local Planning and Building Committee of the Abu Bassma Municipality must demolish them.

In 2009, Regavim petitioned the Beer Sheva Municipal Court after its repeated complaints to the Abu Bassma Municipality proved ineffective. Dozens of illegal structures had sprung up in areas under the municipality’s jurisdiction, and Regavim’s efforts to spur enforcement and regulation were unsuccessful; petitioning the court to intervene was the last resort. Since that time, the Abu Bassma Municipality was divided into two separate municipalities in an attempt to improve governability and municipal services – but enforcement of building and planning laws has shown no improvement.

PM: There won’t be another mosque on the Temple Mount

PM Netanyahu orders removal of recently installed equipment from the Gate of Mercy site on the Temple Mount • Arab officials: Israeli government efforts “to Judaize Jerusalem and erode the status quo at Al-Aqsa will be met with strong resistance.”

By Nadav Shragai, Ariel Kahana, Daniel Siryoti and Israel Hayom Staff // published on 26/02/2019

Tensions continued to bubble Monday on the Temple Mount after the Gate of Mercy structure near Al-Aqsa mosque was certified as another mosque, with silent agreement from Israel – despite official denials issued by Israeli authorities.

Government officials said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued an order to remove equipment from the site and disallow prayer there.

The structure was recently fitted with rugs and other furnishings along with renovations. Eran Tzidkiyahu of the Forum for Regional Thinking visited the site on Monday and assessed that it would soon be used as a permanent prayer area for Muslims.

Arab Leaders and Israel: Diplomatic progress or taqiyyah?

By Dogan Akman

Prime Minister Netanyahu considers his dealings with the heads of the Arab states at the Warsaw international conference to be a reflection of the progress in Israel’s improving diplomatic relations with these states. And he is not alone on this subject.

Netanyahu declared: “I can reveal that something happened here. Of the five Arab foreign ministers who spoke, four spoke out against Iran and spoke of Israel’s right to defend itself. They talked about the fact that once the main issue was the   Palestinian issue, but today they said that the Iranian issue should be at the top….There is a change here; the change is in terms of the things they said, and the things that will be done…The big issue was Iran, while the Palestinians were just mentioned. This was once inconceivable.”

So what is the big deal? Does Israel have the right to defend itself against the salaried terrorists of the Palestinian Authority? Hamas? Hezbollah? Or only against Iran?

Despite Blue and White branding hype, the center of Israeli politics is Likud

Never mind the spin: The newly aligned parties do not form the center of the Israeli political spectrum.

By Alex Traiman, jns

Political newcomer and former IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz announced the technical merger of his newly formed Israel Resilience party last week, together with the Yesh Atid Party founded in 2013 by then-political newcomer and television personality Yair Lapid. Scenario polls had indicated that combining the parties would give them a chance to garner more electoral votes than Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud Party.

The parties and most of the Israeli media have labeled the merger as a “centrist alliance” aimed at defeating the prime minister. The purpose of this label is to make Gantz and Lapid appear like the responsible middle of Israeli politics, distinct from the smaller and presently less relevant Labor and Meretz parties, and the ruling Likud, which has sat together in the past government with religious and pro-settlement parties to its right.

Yet despite the spin, the newly aligned parties do not form the center of the Israeli political spectrum. For the last 10 years, the center of Israeli politics has belonged to the ruling Likud Party and its leader, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Fight foreign subversion in eastern Jerusalem

Assaults on Israeli sovereignty must be met by an Israeli counter-assault.

By David Weinberg, JISS

Radical Islamic groups, foreign actors, and Palestinian authorities have stepped-up their subversion of Israeli sovereignty in eastern Jerusalem. This includes covert and overt activities, both legal and illegal, ideological and concrete, in the civilian and security spheres.

The next Israeli government must act with alacrity to re-assert its hold on the city.

According to a breathtakingly frightening expose by Dr. David Koren of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security, foreign troublemakers are becoming ever-more brazen and omnipresent. They have little interest in improving the lives of Jerusalemite Arabs, but to rather seek to undermine Israeli administration of the city. And some of the bad actors pump messaging supportive of terrorism against Israel and Jews.

Koren warns that Hizb ut-Tahrir (the Islamic Liberation Party), which advocates the establishment of a global Islamic caliphate, has both sleeper and active cells in the city. It runs a “modesty patrol” throughout eastern Jerusalem to enforce compliance with Islamic religious law, including a ban on drinking alcohol and checks on fraternization between the sexes.

Arabs continue destroying Jewish archaeology on the Temple Mount

T. Belman.  It is disheartening how Netanyahu continues to appease the Arabs at the expense of the Jews. Apparently Bibi induced Jewish Home to take in Otzma to prevent Bennetts new party from joining with Jewish Home to form a strong block. The reason given is that Bibi wants to lessen the pressure on him from the right.  He now has approached Bennett for a ceaefire. He knows he is vulnerable to criticism from the right. I don’t believe Bennett will accept a ceasefire for the same reason.

I attended a house gathering to hear a campaign talk by Caroline Glick who has joined The New Right, Bennett’s new party.  She made it clear that they were hoping to double their present polling of 7 or 8 seats.  They feel that the 62 seat right wing block is stable and they want to improve their numbers at the expense of Likud. That way the Right will have more clout in the government to be formed.

While Israel preserves Al-Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock, Arabs have proven that they cannot be trusted to respect Jewish Holy sites.

By Ezequiel Doiny, INN

On February 22, 2019 Arutz Sheva reported “Hundreds of Arabs arriving for Friday prayers breached the Golden Gate and entered the site.”  Palestinian Arabs clashed with Israeli police on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, trying to force their way into an area that has been closed for 16 years.  The incident follows a similar confrontation the same week.

The area near the Gate of Mercy, or Golden Gate, was sealed by Israeli authorities in 2003 and it has been kept closed to stop illegal construction work there by the Waqf, which Israeli officials believe has led to the destruction of antiquities from periods of Jewish presence in the area.”

Iran lays out 16-point war plan for the supreme goal of toppling Netanyahu

DEBKA

Iran’s National Security Adviser Ali Shamkhani Saturday, Feb. 23, unveiled a plan to overthrow the prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu by a full-scale war from Syria and other “resistance fronts.” Tehran’s overt intervention in Israel’s April 9 election named the Israeli prime minister’s removal as the strategic goal of the “resistance axis.”

A day earlier, a senior IRGC general Brig. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh claimed that Iran had hacked and seized control of half a dozen US drones over Syria and Iraq.

Behold, A Green Horse

By Tabitha Korol

“Behold, a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.” – Revelation 6:8

The original New Deal (1933-’36) was a series of programs, public works projects, financial reforms and regulations enacted by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, designed to rescue the US from the Great Depression.  The artfully-name Green New Deal, proposed by Democrat-socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), is a series of drastic changes designed to divert the US from the path of improvement and greatness set by President Donald J. Trump, and propagate Obama’s disastrous and divisive policies.

President Trump’s focus on energy has been removing the Obama era’s burdensome energy regulations so that we are now experiencing an unprecedented boom in domestic oil production and energy independence.  We are exporting more oil than importing for the first time in 75 years.   Trump has been so successful, in fact, that Obama has tried to assume the credit in the hope of salvaging his eight years of failure.  The unscientific, childish Ocasio-Cortez endorses the climate change hoax, blaming every winter storm and summer hot spell on corporate America and on cattle with normal gastrointestinal activity.  As clearly clarified by Paul Driessen on cfact, “AOC wants to lead the world in economic suicide, environmental degradation, plummeting living standards, shorter life spans and societal upheaval.“

Autopsy of a Dead Coup

See also: The Greatest Constitutional Crisis Since the Civil War by Conrad Black

By Victor Davis Hanson, AMERICAN GREATNESS

The illegal effort to destroy the 2016 Trump campaign by Hillary Clinton campaign’s use of funds to create, disseminate among court media, and then salt among high Obama administration officials, a fabricated, opposition smear dossier failed.

So has the second special prosecutor phase of the coup to abort the Trump presidency failed. There are many elements to what in time likely will become recognized as the greatest scandal in American political history, marking the first occasion in which U.S. government bureaucrats sought to overturn an election and to remove a sitting U.S. president.

Preparing the Battlefield

No palace coup can take place without the perception of popular anger at a president.

Feiglin’s Zehut Party is not being faily treated

Here are a few interesting articles:

By Ted Belman

This one is a poll being taken on jpost. It shows zehut as the 3rd largest party, almost double the 4th largest. We have 16%. Over 5000 votes so far.

https://www.jpost.com/Israel-Elections/Poll-Who-would-you-vote-for-and-who-is-most-suitable-to-be-PM-581403?fbclid=IwAR3j7U7_6W2ps2NlXCaMpiB2NksrS7N7vwNPg4sy1b7b-E0ALLYgnqDCsCo

this one is a poll from late last week by amit segal, a well known newsman. He doesn’t even list zehut as an option. We are listed as ‘another party that has no Knesset representation currently’. This shows mainstream attempts to minimize us.

this one shows a poll zehut getting almost 8 seats. It’s from 5 days ago.

‘Remarkable’ Poll Shows Trump Gaining Ground Among the Groups He Supposedly ‘Hates’

BY Malachi Bailey, CONSERVATIVE TRIBUNE

After President Donald Trump ended the government shutdown, his support among key groups is on the rise.

A new poll from Zogby Analytics published on Thursday — “remarkable” according to The Washington Examiner — shows that Trump has significant support from suburban women despite the left’s constant screeching about the president’s “sexism.”

Pollster Jonathan Zogby reported that Trump “is doing very well with suburban women (50% approve/50% disapprove), who are vital to his re-election hopes in 2020.”

And that could be because suburban women are some of the biggest proponents of Trump’s border wall, which he plans to build by invoking presidential emergency powers.

New IDF chief demands that military leadership define ‘victory’

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi has decided to hold a three-day seminar the first week in March devoted to how Israel can win a clear, decisive, irrefutable victory in the next war it fights.

Kochavi announced the seminar prior to being sworn in as IDF chief on Jan. 15. The IDF has appointed a number of teams that are charged with defining what comprises an IDF victory in each of their particular fields and what issues or problems need to be addressed to ensure that victory.

All members of the General Staff are slated to take part in the “Victory Seminar,” as it is being called, as well as division commanders and the IDF’s main brigadier generals. The seminar comprises the start of the IDF’s multi-year work plan, which will take effect in 2020.

The latest flareup at the Temple Mount flashpoint holy site in Jerusalem over the reopening of the Gate of Mercy, a section just off the Al Aqsa Mosque plaza, has been making headlines in the Arab and Palestinian media.

The media attention is focusing on what is being hailed as a knockout victory for the Palestinian and Jordanian side in the battle over the site. A prominent Palestinian analyst, Nasser al-Laham, was quick to adopt the victory narrative and wrote that it was a message to Ramallah and Gaza on how the struggle with Israel should be conducted.
