In the midst of the warfare and turmoil that we are currently coping with, it is important not to neglect this day: Yom Yerushalayim, which marks the reunification of Jerusalem in June 1967.
Peloni: What makes Iran so special, so unique, as it has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles on a neighboring state, weaponized and deployed terror organizations stymieing international shipping, launched terror squads to execute Trump and Trump officials last year, and persists in its demand that it be allowed to enrich uranium which can have only one legitimate purpose. And in the wake of all of this, and more, the US continues to seek ways to preserve this rogue regime as it brutalizes its citizens, joins with drug gangs in South America, and still calls for the annihilation of the US and Israel, even as it ‘negotiating’ its for its own survival. Even under Trump, Iran’s proxies have murdered Americans with impunity, and still hold the remains of American they murdered, while threatening the US and Trump. So, once again, what stays the hand of the US military from bringing a fraction of the carnage to Iran as was brought down on the Houthis? It is past time that Trump act as Marziyeh has stated and strike Iran for any of what I described above, and a great deal more.

It’s taken a few days for the West to wake up to and realize the significance of strikes that are taking place and widening throughout Iran, and to report on these. Iran’s Thriving Oil Exports Despite Sanctions

In 2019, the FBI recorded less than 17,000 homicides. After George Floyd died of a drug overdose while violently resisting arrest, we would not see numbers like that again.

A powerful and important result of the sense of unity and identity which was previously far less universal than it stands today.
The parade, a long cherished part of the day’s celebration, was regarded with fear and loathing by the Left right through 2023. Now they are seen as teaching self-respect.

One way to gauge the change and difference the horrific October 7th massacre and the ensuing Swords of Iron war has made in contrast to the previous prevailing “conceptzia” is to consider the Jerusalem Day parade.
Peloni: The final statement in this report by Noem seems to highlight Trump’s need to restrain Bibi as he continues to push forward on his efforts of negotiating with the duplicitous Mullahs, while failing to appreciate that there is no good outcome to be had which keeps the Mullahs in power. Good for Bibi for providing some upstream pressure on what will be Trump’s greatest failure should he succeed in his attempts at a ‘better deal’.

The most recent phone call between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump involved a heated exchange and exposed differences between the two leaders on how best to deal with the Iranian threat according to a report in Israel’s Channel 12 news.

Martin Sherman in his seminal post, Distorting the Declaration, after noting that the protestors support the following David Horovitz’s, claim,
“Our Declaration of Independence promises that the State of Israel ‘will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex; it will guarantee freedom of religion, conscience, language, education and culture…’”
argued, that while this is true, it was misleading. He wrote and proved, “the focus of Israel’s Declaration of Independence is overwhelmingly on Jewish sovereignty and political independence in the ancestral Jewish homeland—not on liberal democratic governance” as the protestors would have you believe.

Zionism, simply put, is the Jewish people’s national liberation movement. Put in Biblical terms, it is the return from exile of the Jews to Zion – to that very special land promised by God to the first Jew, Abraham, and through Isaac, Jacob and the Jewish prophets to the Jewish people forever.
The Hebrew Scriptures equate Zion with the holiest city in Judaism, Israel’s 3,000-year-old capital city of Jerusalem. You can read numerous references in the Bible and the Psalms to the word Zion, such as in Psalm 135:21, II Samuel 5:7 and Isaiah 24:23.
The Biblical yearning of the Jews, ancient and modern, to return to their ancestral homeland is mirrored in the modern political usage of the term Zionism, first employed in 1890 by the Jewish author and poet, Nathan Birnbaum.
Peloni: Even amid war, the celebrations which define and characterize the Jewish state are not set aside. Among these one of the most relative celebrations is the, unification of, and Jewish connection to, Jerusalem.
Despite ongoing challenges, Jerusalem Day unites Israelis in joy and remembrance of a pivotal moment in Jewish history.

As the sun sets over the ancient stones of Jerusalem, Israelis from all walks of life gather to mark one of the most defining moments in modern Jewish history the reunification of Jerusalem and the liberation of Judea and Samaria. This year, Jerusalem Day commemorates 58 years since the miraculous victory of the 1967 Six-Day War that returned the heart of the Jewish nation to its rightful guardians.
Peloni: This comes in the wake of an announcement of France and Saudi Arabia to co-chair UN conference on resuscitating the defunct two state paradigm in coordination with China and Canada.
In recent days, Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas made a rare visit to Lebanon, during which he declared the need for Palestinian weapons – specifically those held in refugee camps and by Palestinian factions in the Land of the Cedars – to be handed over to the state. According to a report that aired on Kan Reshet Bet on Monday morning, the driving force behind this move is Saudi Arabia.

Peloni: The quote included in this essay by Gen. Lee has always been one of my favorites, since I was a young. In fact, war is the undoing of society such that society might be preserved, and the more terrible the war, the more lasting will be the resulting peace.

I noticed something years ago about class descriptions on college campuses. If a course’s subject matter included the word “war,” it was much more popular with students. A seminar on “organizational theory” might find a few takers; a seminar on “military organization and war planning” would attract too many students for most classrooms to hold. I asked a professor about this once, and he grinned slyly, reminding me that young professors who teach popular classes have greater career prospects. The observation struck me as a bit perverse.

The solution for the dilemma facing Israel today has long ago been described by Ted Belman, obm, and it remains so today. It is the Jordan Option, which only requires the US and Israel to act as if the Hashemites are a threat and that there is an alternative to them being maintained in power, one which is antithetical to the Islamist allied Hashemites, and that alternative is Mudar Zahran.

Pres Biden has come and gone with little to show for it. But he has, however, left some debris in his wake that will set the stage for Israel’s coming election.
While he reaffirmed his support for the Two-State Solution (TSS) he went on to say “the ground is not right at this moment to restart negotiations,” and,
”The two-state solution is still the best way to ensure peace and democracy for Israelis and Palestinians; however, I don’t see a near horizon for this solution.””
Both Prime Minister Lapid and Benny Gantz share that view. Lapid said ”A two-state solution is a guarantee for a strong, democratic State of Israel with a Jewish majority.”
