Trump’s BBB just passed by Senate will massively expand the digital biometric surveillance state for years to come

Peloni:  Recalling the intense debate over the renewal of the FISA authorization during Trump’s first term, the far less significant conversation over the BBB’s expanding the surveillance state in America is important to note.  Liberty is by nature a diminishing quality, something which must be constantly defended and tested to remain upheld.  As the world looked very different in the wake of the Patriot Act, the world will look very different in the wake of the BBB.  And subsequent generations will find it impossible to grasp exactly what they lost due to the current inattentiveness to maintain the liberties which are being swallowed whole in this bill.  And of course, what begins in Washington never remains exclusively in Washington…

Bill allocates billions for digital tracking systems nationwide, mostly under the guise of ‘border security.’ All major state and federal highways will be monitored 24/7 in real time.

Leo Hohmann | Jul 02, 2025

The Senate version of H.R. 1, otherwise known as the One Big Beautiful Bill, reflects an aggressive expansion of AI-driven federal biometric surveillance infrastructure under the Trump administration’s second term.

The website Biometric Update, which reports on all things digital and biometric, posted an article on June 30 that points out how President Trump’s BBB will expand the digital surveillance state exponentially and place the U.S. on an irreversible course toward a biometric slave state that tracks the movement of everyone, everywhere.

How an Israeli Woman Infiltrated Iran’s Leaders. What She Revealed Is Shocking

Peloni:  There are many current reports on the unbelievable feats of Catherine Perez-Shakdam, but I think this one captures a greater context than most, while also raising remaining questions which linger after reading of her incredible movement into the most inner circles of the Iranian regime.  In fact, the questions which are raised at the end of this video are what drew my interest in looking closer into what is known of Perez-Shakdam, but the honest truth is that there the answers to these questions remain somewhat unclear.  In any event, if she was acting on behalf of the Mossad or out of a resolve to deal with the antisemitism which she grew up with, she is an amazing woman, and her reports on the inside conversations with the leadership of the Mullahs were incredibly important, even if she did not have a hand in what took place by Israel inside Iran over the past many years.

China arms Houthis, Houthis make pact with Al-Shabab that threatens Red Sea shipping

The Red Sea is a critically important route for companies that are shipping goods from Asia to Europe. It accounts for about “15% of total global sea trade.” The Houthis have been disrupting those shipping routes since early 2024, thus affecting the price of goods, which are now costing more to ship and are taking longer to arrive, as the ships have faced attacks. This translated into higher prices for Western consumers in already bad economies. Then in early May, the Iran-aligned Houthis struck a deal with Trump to stop interrupting the shipping vessels in the Red Sea and Middle East. In turn, Trump said the U.S. would stop bombing the Houthis in Yemen. The agreement, however, did not include Houthi strikes on Israel. While that deal gave a hope of reprieve for the shipping vessels at risk, a new report is now stating that the Houthis have struck what appears to be a simultaneous deal with al-Shabab.

Schumer Flips on Antisemitism

Peloni: Shame on Schumer!

by Rafael Medoff

Israeli ambassador Abba Eban was greeted by an irritating sight when he rose to speak in Harvard University’s Sanders Hall on a chilly Tuesday evening in the autumn of 1970. A group of anti-Israel extremists in the gallery had unfurled a banner denouncing “Zionist imperialists” and tried to shout Eban down when he began to speak.

“You have to be an American first.”— Rabbi Stephen Wise, dismissing efforts to rescue Jews during the Holocaust.

“[Peter] Bergson is worse than Hitler.”— Rabbi Stephen Wise, attacking the Jewish Zionist leader who fought to save our people and organized the 1943 rabbi’s march in Washington to try to publicize the Nazi regime murder of Jews. FDR took Wise’s advice and would not meet with them.

For The First Time Ever, President Sisi Legitimises The “Resistance”

Cairo’s Isolation Reaches a Tectonic Shift as President Sisi Legitimises Armed Struggle

Khaled Hassan | The Grand Strategy | Jul 01, 2025

In a televised, pre-recorded address marking the 12th anniversary of Egypt’s 30 June revolution against the Muslim Brotherhood rule of Egypt, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi crossed a red line he had steadfastly avoided for 11 years, since he assumed office in 2014: he formally legitimised armed “resistance” against Israel. But to grasp the seismic nature of this shift, we must first contextualise his desperation.

“The continuation of war and occupation won’t produce peace, but feeds a cycle of hatred, and violence, and opens the doors of vengeance and resistance which will not be shut. So, enough violence, and killing, and hatred, and enough occupation and forced relocation, and homelessness.”

Here’s What The Senate Changed In The ‘Big, Beautiful’ Bill

Peloni:  Senate changes to the BBB succeeded in removing the moratorium on State level oversight of AI, but there is no mention of the land grabs, terrorist exemptions for terrorist organizations or tax on tips, so many of the worms remain which were described in  THE ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL HAS WORMS IN IT.  As the bill moves back to the House, it presents the opportunity for further revisions as well as additional additions…

The Senate passed President Donald Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill” on Tuesday morning, but only after senators spent hours negotiating changes to the near-1,000 page sweeping budget legislation.

Will US back Israeli preemptive actions?

Will the US support Israel’s new post-October 7 doctrine of preemption and deterrence, or will Washington revert to urging Israeli restraint once ceasefires are established?

By Eric Mandel | July 1, 2025

John Spencer, head of West Point’s Urban Warfare Institute, wrote that the US and Israel “achieved overwhelming success at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels… shatter[ing] the myth of Iran’s invulnerability.” Yet, as The Wall Street Journal observed, despite the blow to the “pillars of Iran’s theocracy, the regime remains intact – wounded but capable of regrouping in more dangerous and unpredictable ways.”

The Great President Trump’s Worst, Terrible, Bad Idea Ever

  • Qatar’s job, if it is part of a consortium controlling the Gaza Strip, will be to make sure that the jihad against Israel continues.
  • If Egypt is in any way involved in securing the Gaza Strip, it is certain there will be renewed smuggling of weapons and terrorists into Israel through and under the Rafah Crossing. The weapons-and-terrorists industry has always been far too profitable and far too successful at attacking Israel just to give up.

This is what Netanyahu should be saying….

Peloni:  Avi’s recommendations to Netanyahu are a must read!  This is the path towards peace, and away from the next slaughter.  The destiny of the region will be determined by what takes place in Washington in the next few days, presuming the terms are still yet to be determined, and ignoring any aspect of the reasonable and necessary elements of stability which are detailed below will result in a crushing blow to the future.  Remember that peace thru strength means that the strong choose the terms.

Avi Abelow

SYNOPSIS – GAZA

With victory over Hamas within reach, Netanyahu must resist pressure from the defense establishment urging him to stop short and strike a deal that would keep Hamas alive.
