Does Common Sense Plus Polling Mean a Big Trump Win?

By Seth Keshel, AMERICAN THINKER

The “unskewed polls” fiasco of 2012 will live in infamy for many years until usurped by an even bigger failed prediction.  Unfortunately for conservatives, the mainstream media didn’t miss a beat in weaponizing polls in favor of Hillary Clinton during the current campaign, leaving many of us demoralized and in search of answers.  The pollsters are skilled at shorting certain samples (independents), adding others (Democrats), and then creating a unique top line that defies the data included in the poll itself.  This is done in such a bold manner that it’s almost as if the polling companies are daring us to start the next polling conspiracy.

The Markets for Israel’s Offshore Gas Dry up

DEBKA

While keeping this a close secret, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has been forced to give up his grand plan to pipe gas from Israel’s offshore fields to Turkey for sale in European markets after France and Germany intimated that dealings with Ankara were unacceptable.

Plans to expand the Leviathan gas well have also been put on ice.

Analysis: Opposition to gas deal in Jordan highlights tensions over peace with Israel

While the Jordanian government has portrayed the deal as good for Jordan economically, it has struck a nerve among the public.

On Sunday night, Aljezeera television interviewed Hamza Khader, a young political activist, at a cafe in Amman.

Obama’s Confusion About the ‘Occupation’ of Palestinian Land

The president would probably be aghast if he were told that ‘the United States cannot permanently occupy Mexican land.’ Can ‘occupation’ lead to peaceful accommodation?

By Moshe Arens, HAARETZ

“Israel cannot permanently occupy Palestinian land,” said Barack Obama in his speech at the United Nations last month. By Palestinian land he presumably meant Judea and Samaria, the territory between the Jordan River and the lines delineated by Israel and Jordan in April 1949, in an armistice that followed Jordan’s participation in the combined Arab attack on Israel in 1948. Maybe he was also referring to the Gaza Strip, although that region is now under the rule of Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist organization, and there is no Israeli presence there.

Was it Palestinian land that Jordan annexed after the conclusion of the armistice with Israel? Nobody made that claim at the time, nor during the following 18 years when Jordan held that area.

The Eight State Solution Revisited

By Ron Jager

In recent days, the head of the Palestinian Authority (PA), Mahmoud Abbas, spoke at the general assembly of the United Nations basing his remarks on three basic Palestinian beliefs that reflect the Palestinian’s inability to be partners towards a peaceful solution with Israel. Abbas, spoke of the Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel’s right to exist as the Homeland of the Jewish People, he refused to end the PA’s incitement of Palestinian’s to commit terror against Jews, and reaffirmed the Palestinian’s “right of return” which means nothing less than the end of Israel as a Jewish State.

Clinton Approved Arms for Terrorist Enemies of the US

By Judge Napolitano, TEA PARTY

(Washington Times) – In the course of my work, I am often asked by colleagues to review and explain documents and statutes. Recently, in conjunction with my colleagues Catherine Herridge and Pamela Browne, I read the transcripts of an interview Ms. Browne did with a man named Marc Turi, and Ms. Herridge asked me to review emails to and from State Departmentand congressional officials during the years when Hillary Clinton was the secretary of state.

What I saw has persuaded me beyond a reasonable doubt and to a moral certainty that Mrs. Clinton provided material assistance to terrorists and lied to Congress in a venue where the law required her to be truthful. Here is the backstory. Read more…

Writing Is on the Wall For Trump To Act Like a Proper President

By CONRAD BLACK, Special to the Sun

Trump1It is already a platitude that Donald Trump had a bad week. The stridently partisan national (and international) press has translated Mrs. Clinton’s unimpressive and fairly narrow victory in the first debate into a terrible “drubbing” (the word is that of a Canadian journalist; they tend to be even more intoxicated by the anti-Trump Kool Aid than the American press). Mr. Trump has rather sullenly receded into his worrisome and self-demeaning habit of focusing on absurd side issues in a coarse way.

It is understandable that the owner of the Miss Universe contest would feel that his brand was being abused by a successful contestant who then put on weight. But the middle of a presidential election campaign against the country’s first major-party female nominee is not the time to call a former beauty queen Miss Piggy. This isn’t a matter of misogyny at all, as the Democrats and their darkened sky of screaming parrots in the media claim; it’s just ungracious. I find it impossible to imagine any president of the United States using that phrase publicly, except in reference to the Muppets character.

The Politics of Delusion

By Alex Markovsky

It would require a fierce liberal skeptic to deny that Islam, which is in the process of constructing an intrinsically genocidal caliphate, poses both internal and external threats to this country on the scale of Nazism and Imperial Japan in terms of potential mass death and destruction. Islam is conducting a war against the Western democracies with religious zeal and fanatical determination, using all resources available—from engaging in open warfare to spreading terrorism across the globe; from sponsoring radical ideology within Muslim communities to indoctrinating schoolchildren to hate Western values.

Why a Well Read Woman with an Earned Doctorate Will Vote for Trump

By Janice Shaw Crouse, AMERICAN THINKER

Pundits, increasingly, are saying that both major party candidates are targeting college-educated white women, but Hillary is ahead in that demographic. Some conservative elites are asking how any intelligent person can vote for Trump. I see those responses as emotional, rather than rational, logical decisions. I’m a white woman with a Ph.D. and I’m voting for Trump because of my experience in D.C., my training in logic, and my appreciation for those who can “get the job done.”

Hillary is an enemy of Israel

By Ted Belman

Hillary Clinton is not a friend of Israel. As Secretary of State, she was the architect of the policy of the most anti-Israel president since the rebirth of Israel in 1948. She helped Barack Obama craft his anti-Israel positions. Obama reoriented America’s Middle East policy in favor of the ayatollahs and the Muslem Brotherhood, to make Iran the regional superpower, disadvantaging America’s traditional allies: Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the other Sunni Arab monarchies. Clinton shared the same flawed vision of the world as Obama.

Trump Does The Unthinkable

By Liz Crokin, TOWNHALL, July 10, 2016

Donald Trump is a racist, bigot, sexist, xenophobe, anti-Semitic and Islamophobe — did I miss anything? The left and the media launch these hideous kinds of attacks at Trump every day; yet, nothing could be further from the truth about the real estate mogul. As an entertainment journalist, I’ve had the opportunity to cover Trump for over a decade, and in all my years covering him I’ve never heard anything negative about the man until he announced he was running for president.

Keep in mind, I got paid a lot of money to dig up dirt on celebrities like Trump for a living so a scandalous story on the famous billionaire could’ve potentially sold a lot of magazines and would’ve been a “yuge” feather in my cap. Instead, I found that he doesn’t drink alcohol or do drugs, he’s a hardworking businessman and totally devoted to his beloved wife and children. On top of that, he’s one of the most generous celebrities in the world with a heart filled with more gold than his $100 million New York penthouse.

Congress Must Act to Prevent Unilateral Move to Create Palestinian State

By Clifford Smith, American Spectator

President Obama is rumored to be considering a major reversal of decades-long U.S. policy toward Israel by supporting a UN Security Council resolution that unilaterally recognizes a Palestinian state before a peace agreement is negotiated between Israel and the Palestinians. Congress must act to counter this bold and reckless move that endangers Israel’s security and America’s strategic interests. Read more…

Yesh Atid shows 5-seat lead over Likud in latest poll

Yair Lapid

Thirty-three percent of Israelis approve of Binyamin Netanyahu’s service as Prime Minister, a new Panels Politics poll indicates, while 59% of Israelis disapprove of Mr. Netanyahu.

According to the poll, published Sunday morning by Maariv, Prime Minister Netanyahu still retains leads over possible challengers to the premiership – but his Likud party would nevertheless likely lose to former Finance Minister Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid party.

Questions

Bennett. “I could not understand why Israelis stood in line to shake hands with Abbas (at the funeral), who encourages the murder of Israelis and who pays pensions to the families of terrorist murderers. Let him stop funerals before coming to a funeral,” Bennett.

Belman. Why do we say “radical Islamic terrorists” when “Islamic terrorists” would suffice. In fact its more accurate.

Belman. Why does America have VP nominees debate? In both cases they will be defending the head of their ticket.

Belman. Was Adelson correct in saying, ‘Acceptance and assimilation have turned around to kill us’? Of course he was. 68% of secular American Jews are marrying out.

Belman. If the US had bombed the shit out of Syria when the war began, instead of tip toeing through the tulips, just as Russia is doing now, wouldn’t it have saved hundreds of thousands of lives? To say nothing about destroying Iran’s vital ally and preventing Russia from gaining a foothold in the eastern Mediterranean.

Belman. If the US defeated Assad what would they do afterwards? She wouldn’t know what to do with it as she didn’t in Iraq . All she could hope for is replacing the Assad regime with a Sunni one but she wouldn’t be able to prevent it from becoming Islamist.
