There is conflicting information in FoxNews reports about Hillary Clinton leaving Memorial Plaza during 9/11 ceremonies this morning.

Clinton had been standing with Donald Trump, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, former NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former NYPD commissioner Bernie Kerik, and others paying respect to those whose lives were lost on September 11, 2001.

“But, as a law enforcement source stationed about “15 feet away” from Clinton told Fox News’ Rick Leventhal, Clinton left the Lower Manhattan, N.Y. ceremony early due to what was being called an apparent “medical episode.” (FoxNews, Sept. 11, 2016)

In an apparent set ritual, futile and pointless, the Russian and American foreign ministers have announced for the umpteenth time that a deal has been reached to end the war waging in Syria. The first step in this deal is a cease-fire set to begin on Monday.

A glance at the details of the agreement reveals a lack of real content and a near-zero chance of implementation. Firstly, the deal fails to include a large portion of the rebel camp, most notably the Islamic State group and the Nusra Front, and we can assume that the Syrian regime will be quick to violate the terms of the deal, justifying it with the claim that it is fighting these radical rebel groups.

A Syria ceasefire deal agreed by the United States and Russia could mark a “turning point” in the five-year conflict if implemented, US Secretary of State John Kerry said Saturday.

The accord, which is to come into force on Monday on the first day of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, aims to freeze fighting between President Bashar al-Assad’s forces and the armed opposition.

T. Belman. The author recognizes that this relationship is in flux yet can’t resist saying because of Trump’s “grotesque embrace of Putin’s thuggishness”, he is not the man for the job. Why not? Trump respects Putin for his strength and disrespects Obama for his weakness. I consider Russia’s actions in Crimea and Ukraine to be like a minor earthquake. The tectonic plates have just shifted a bit. This article must have been written before Obama made a deal with Putin in which he ceded Syria to Russia in exchange for Russia defeating the Islamists. Just another tectonic shift. They happen all the time.

RUSSIA’S place in American politics used to be (relatively) simple. The further right you stood, the more you feared Ivan and his Slavic wiles. The further left, the more you likely thought the Red Menace was mostly just a scare story.

Now things are more complicated. T. Belman. Having Jews live in Palestine should we create it is a non starter. I think the settlers themselves would reject doing so. Does Netanyahu really see this as an option or is he merely making a point to discredit the TSS proposed by the US and the EU and the UN?

That age ended in WWII when nationalism was discredited to be displaced by universalism, United Nations, European Union, multiculturalism, diversity, and globalism. The Syrian cease-fire agreement that US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced Friday night, September 9, in Geneva hands Syrian affairs over to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and the country’s military.

The accord marked a sharp reversal for Washington. In his meeting with Putin in China last week, US President Barack Obama did not agree to those steps for the simple reason that such an agreement would be in line with the policy and stance of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, not those of the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

We’ve all heard stories of Hillary’s rampages.  I would certainly never want to be the object of one of her psychotic episodes.  I almost feel sorry for her staff.

Christina Reynolds, Deputy Communications Director for the Clinton campaign, and Donna Brazile, chair of the campaign, received scathing rebukes from Hillary after Matt Lauer went “Rogue” on her.

According to inside sources, after the town hall with Matt, Hillary went ballistic, throwing a huge tantrum, with personal calls to Comcast executives, the parent company of NBC Universal.  I guess they got the message with all of the ridiculous headlines to follow over the next couple of days.

The hope for Mrs. Clinton lies in the fact that one disastrous performance in a presidential debate (or forum, in the case of what happened aboard United States Ship Intrepid) doesn’t necessarily spell defeat at the polls. We learned this during the 2008 debate between Senator Biden and Governor Palin. Everyone expected the suave senator to destroy the inexperienced Alaskan. In the event, she wiped the floor with Mr. Biden in a performance that few who saw it will ever forget.

T. Belman. According to Moshe Feiglin, his new party Zehut is expected to get over 12  seats in the next election. He wants nothing less than to be the ruling party to replace Likud in subsequent elections. The big surprise is that 1/3 of its supporters are secular.

As you know, both he and Martin Sherman support full annexation and compensated emigration for Arabs. I am thinking that Feiglin should invite Martin Sherman to join his Party and as an inducement to offer him a position on his list which ensures that Sherman will be a cabinet minister in the next government in two years. If Bennett and Shaked can join forces, why can’t religious Feiglin  and secular Sherman join forces. What do you think?
