The US policy is dictated by its desire to curry favour with the Arabs. As a result the US never stands up to them and always criticizes Israel and restrains her. The US threw Israel under the bus in pursuit of the Iran Deal. Not only did the US ignore our interests but it went so far as to prevent Israel from acting independently in her own interest. The US has and always will side with the Arabs.

Ted Belman. Even if the Palestinian Nazis agreed to Israel’s existence as a Jewish state, Israel shouldn’t agree to what’s on Offer. Under no conditions should we should we withdraw from Judea and Samaria in order to create a Palestinian Nazi state, even if demilitarized. History shows the Palestinian Nazis can’t be trusted.

This week the United Nations Security Council debated the causes of the current violence in Israel.
It wasn’t much of a debate.

Every once in awhile, someone eulogizes, or otherwise underestimates, Benjamin Netanyahu. It happened ahead of the recent elections in Israel. Polls predicted Netanyahu would be usurped by Zionist Union leader Isaac Herzog, and commentators quick to proclaim the “Netanyahu era” over. They were wrong.
It happened again after six world powers signed the Iran nuclear deal, dealing Netanyahu a devastating loss on an issue that had been practically his sole obsession for years. Commentators said Netanyahu had suffered the worst defeat of his political career. They were wrong again. The Iran deal had no effect on Netanyahu’s popular support.

Ted Belman. What surprised me about this article was the headline that Haaretz chose to go with. The author simply told what is and is not happening with out making a demand for victory.
Those who are holding back the galloping horses are the senior commanders – and their civilian superiors – who have not made total victory over the terrorists the goal of the current campaign.
During the discussion among the chiefs of staff this week on Channel 2, IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot was asked how the wave of knifing attacks can be overcome. “There’s no clear and focused military solution to a challenge of this kind,” he replied. “There’s a combined, multidimensional solution. Our job as an army,” he summed up, “is to restore security and calm.”
We can assume that the calm and security conveyed by Eisenkot reassured many of the concerned citizens who want to go outside again to the street, the playgrounds and shopping malls without fearing attack by knives. They are relying on him to find a solution to this “challenge,” as he dubbed the onrush of stabbing attacks.

Plan to shut funding gaps expected to go through despite involvement of some Arab citizens in recent terrorist attacks.
The government plans to infuse billions of shekels in funding to Arab municipalities over the next five years, but it may take some weeks to negotiate terms of the deal, an Arab leader negotiating the budget increase told The Jerusalem Post on Wednesday.
The deal has long been in the works, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu deciding two months ago to transfer a budget supplement of NIS 900 million to Arab municipalities, but talks have intensified since theviolence in past weeks and was not expected to be hindered by the involvement of Israeli Arab in recent terrorist attacks.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action—better known as the Iran nuclear deal—was officially adopted Sunday, Oct. 18. That’s nine days ago. It’s already a dead letter.
Not that you would have noticed by reading the news or tuning in to State Department or White House briefings. It’s too embarrassing to an administration that has invested all of its diplomatic capital in the deal. Also, too inconvenient to the commodity investors, second-tier banks, European multinationals and everyone else who wants a piece of the Iranian market and couldn’t care less whether Tehran honors its nuclear bargain.
Yet here we are. Iran is testing the agreement, reinterpreting it, tearing it up line by line. For the U.S.—or at least our next president—the lesson should be clear: When you sign a garbage agreement, you get a garbage outcome.

Democreatic Senator Rick Coons from Delaware betrayed his backers and his voters when at the end of the summer, as the Senate returned from recess, he announced that he was supporting President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran.
Coons announced his decision in an address at the University of Delaware. There Coons acknowledged that the deal was terrible for America. He detailed all the ways the deal harms US national security and places US allies, including Israel, at grave risk.
“Frankly, this is not the agreement I hoped for,” Coons began.

The European refugee crisis, which disappeared from the front pages for a while, is roaring back to prominence in the media as member states – by majority vote – are set to cram a 17-point plan to deal with the crisis down the throats of a dozen or more countries that are unalterably opposed to it.
Eastern European countries are being ordered, against their will, to take in numbers of refugees for which they are unprepared financially and culturally. This disagreement appears impossible to paper over as the EU did with the debt crisis for so many years because it goes to the heart of the idea of “sovereignty” within the EU and the rules governing its membership.

European Union’s foreign policy chief says leaders must ‘demonstrate with acts’ their commitment, says Quartet has several proposals for steps that will help ease tension.
The European Union’s Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini said Tuesday in a speech before the European Parliament that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas must “demonstrate with acts” that their commitment to the two-state solution “is real and not just fake” or “just an empty slogan.”
Mogherini, who met with Netanyahu in Berlin last Thursday and with Abbas in Brussels on Monday, said that she has sought the consent of the two leaders for the Quartet representatives – the U.S., Russia, the UN and the EU – to visit the region in the next several days, in order to discuss with the sides trust-building steps to be taken on the ground.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has often proposed that Israel be allowed to build in the settlement blocs everyone know she will keep in any settlement. No one has as of yet define what is a settlement block. For instance there is great opposition from Americans and Europeans to including Ariel as one of them.
Recently, Elliot Abrams, Dennis Ross and now MEP Lars Adaktusson have all suggested the same thing.
So in any renewed peace process I expect this to be part of the discussion. Of course it means that Israel will have to agree not to build anywhere else east of the green line.

MEP Lars Adaktusson is Vice Chair of the European Parliament Delegation for relations with Afghanistan and a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. Former Middle East correspondent for Swedish media, he is also one EIPA (Europe Israel Public Affairs) Advisory Board members.
In the European Parliament, when the name of Israel is muttered, the next two words that usually follow are “settlements” and “occupation.”
The European Union’s obsession with Jewish settlement construction in the “West Bank” has been the main drive behind all the recent initiatives spearheaded by the European External Action Service (EEAS), starting with the EU Guidelines on Israeli entities based outside the Green Line from December 2013 and continuing with the EU labelling of products coming out of the settlements and other similar measures. They are also allegedly the main reason why some of my own colleagues sitting in the parliament are calling for a suspension of the Association Agreement with Israel.

No less than 58% of the Israeli public supports canceling the resident status and its accompanying rights for Arab residents of eastern Jerusalem, according to a new poll released Tuesday.
The poll, conducted by the Midgam Institute under Dr. Mina Tzemach’s supervision, comes after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu suggesting stripping residency from Jerusalem Arabs this week and announced he maytake a tour of the area to consider the move.
Only 35% of the public oppose canceling the residency rights extended to Arab residents of Israel’s capital, according to the poll which was conducted for the Knesset Channel.

Bill Clinton in his two successful races for the White House in 1992 and 1996 won overwhelming majorities among Jewish voters, with margins not seen since the election of Lyndon B. Johnson over Barry Goldwater in 1964 or of Franklin Delano Roosevelt to his third and fourth terms in 1940 and 1944. Since 1992, the Jewish vote has slowly become more competitive between the two major parties, approaching a 2/3 versus 1/3 split between Democrats and Republicans. The 2016 presidential race is likely to offer a choice between Hillary Clinton, who does not appear to have the same tight hold over Jewish voters that her husband did, and a Republican with far stronger pro-Israel credentials.

Yesterday the 20th anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was marked.
Because of his association with Oslo, Rabin has been seen over the years as someone who enthusiastically embraced “the two-state solution.” Or, I might better put it, came to be seen thus, as his memory was co-opted by those eager to promote that “solution.” To this day, there are those who promote this distorted vision of Rabin as rationale for pursuing negotiations.
The reality is far more complex.
