Kamala’s got one chance to take the presidency, and if Democrat operatives can’t fill out enough mail-in ballots to get her across the finish line, she’ll never be invited back for a second shot.  For the next two-plus months, she inherits what Biden called “the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.”  This operation catapulted Dementia Joe — who struggled to earn more than single-digit support in previous presidential campaigns — into the White House with the highest number of recorded votes for any politician in American history.  Kind of makes you wonder why Democrats would feel compelled to ditch their incumbent if the guy actually won 25% more votes than their Marxist demigod, Barack Obama.

Is this our moment? A strategic surprise like Pearl Harbor or the Six-Day War seems unattainable for either side.

When I heard reports of the outbreak of war in Gaza, I waited with great vigilance for similar news from the north. When these did not come, I felt a slight relief, despite the terrible news from the south. That Saturday morning was the perfect moment for the enemy, a moment when we were caught by strategic surprise.  An attack from another front, especially the northern one, would have led to outcomes I don’t even want to imagine.  “There is one who acquires his share in the World-to-Come in one moment,” our sages of blessed memory said. Fortunately, our enemy did not acquire his share with a strategic surprise.

Peloni:  There is no basis in reason or rationale which would support the application of antisemitic laws in the Jewish State, and make no mistake, all that Ben Gvir is advocating is that this antisemitic prohibition specifically for Jews be finally and completely rescinded.  The status quo is and has been a policy which demeaned Jews in their own homeland, in their ancient capital, and by their own govt.  Such villainy is unseemly as it remains unjust and unjustifiable.  End the Status Quo, and allow the Jews to go where they like and pray as they like, and let the Americans pound sand.

For months, election-watchers have wondered: will Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. make it onto enough states’ ballots to have an impact?  Will he have the money to run a real campaign?  And most importantly, who will he hurt more: Donald Trump or Kamala Harris?

One thing most didn’t expect was what happened on Monday, August 12: he was bounced from the ballot in the state he grew up in, on a technicality.

Now, election law has always been full of technicalities, and some of us would argue that there’s nothing wrong with that.  Government is about compliance with the law, and if you’re too sloppy to comply on your very first responsibility — the paperwork that creates your candidacy — then arguably, you shouldn’t be in charge of writing, implementing, or enforcing the law.
