Peloni:  This is a very sharp conversation between Jonathan Tobin and Batya Ungar-Sargon relating the various campaign topics of the 2024 election, including the more Jewish related topics on Israel, antisemitism, and Jews voting for the Dems per rote.  Regarding the 2024 election, Batya expresses some concerns about Trump running against Harris.  She expresses the point that while Trump is acting on behalf of the working man and woman, it is easy to forget that many of the working class men and women might be easily insulted  by some of the campaign rhetoric being used to fairly characterize Harris.  Batya warns that Harris will use these attacks on herself to mobilize anger against Trump from the very working class base which he has grown in support of his MAGA agenda.

The Republican National Committee unanimously voted on Holocaust Remembrance Day to pass a resolution condemning anti-Semitism. This resolution provides strong evidence of the Party and its leader, Donald J. Trump’s stance towards Jews. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Iran on July 31. Haniyeh was one of the most well-known faces of Hamas in the region. Ever since he took over Hamas’ Political Bureau in 2017, he has been a key leader in navigating the rising power of Hamas in the region and globally. Peloni:  This was a highly informative conversation between FIDF CEO Steve Weil and Jonathan Schanzer regarding the recent twin high value assassinations of Shukr and Haniyeh, the expected Iranian response to those assassinations, the role being played by the US in this war and many other details.   

Peloni:  This is a must watch video.  Gadi is entirely correct.  Victory is essential to Israel’s survival, but the victory can not be limited to Hamas.  Israel needs to defeat Hezbollah, drive it North, and transfer the war zone in Israel into Lebanon.  The problem with this, of course, is the hostile position of the Americans which are protecting Hezbollah, as the US represents the interests of Iran against that of all its allies in the region including Israel.

After attending the inauguration of Iran’s new president among the festive chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel”, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh found death waiting for him. 

“We always shout: ‘Death for the sake of Allah is our loftiest aspiration,’” Haniyeh had claimed. 

The Hamas billionaire who lived in luxury in Qatar hadn’t actually wanted to die, but he should have been careful what he wished for before the missile granted him the death he cheered for.

U.S. forces conducted a self-defense airstrike against Iran-backed terrorists in Iraq on July 30, according to U.S. officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to The Washington Post. According to Reuters, citing Iraqi police and medical sources, the United States targeted a base south of Baghdad, killing four fighters and injuring an additional four. The base is used by Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) — an Iraqi state-sponsored paramilitary network that was originally formed to combat ISIS but has been coopted by Iran and now contains multiple Iranian-backed militias that oppose the United States and Israel.
