Betrayal

The entire policy of Israel’s elite after 7.10 boils down to twisting the government’s arm and preventing victory over Hamas. Before 7.10, it threatened to destroy the country from within. And what about 7.10 itself?

Alexander Maistrovoy   A. Maistrovoy

According to Hegel’s dialectics, at a certain stage of development “quantity inevitably turns into quality.” This is what happened to the ruling class of Israel.

For 30 years, the Israeli establishment (judicial, military, political, Academy and media) played with the destinies and lives of its people cynically and unceremoniously in favor of its interests and ideological preferences. The Shamir-Arens government was the last one allowed to be guided by the responsibility for the country’s future. Then the games began: gambling and bloody.

Here they are – the elite “Hunger Games”:

McMaster’s Jerusalem revelation

Looking back to see who else got it wrong is important – not because of the I-told-you-so opportunity, but because so many of those people are today still in positions of influence, or are still being quoted by the major news media as “experts.”

Massive protests hit Israel after six hostages killed

T. Belman. I do not think we should give up our goal of victory as emphasized by Netanyahu many times. These protestors would have you believe that there are enough hostages alive to warrant giving into their demands. I think otherwise.

A majority of Israelis support the goal of victory. Over 700 IDF soldiers have lost their lives to the cause of winning. We must not let them down.

Israel’s survival depends on it.

In brief interview, Kamala demolished her inevitability

The vice president came off as fragile, evasive and inarticulate.

The outpouring of fawning media narratives (they can’t even be described as stories), the hundreds of millions spent building an insta-cult of personality through social media and the joy-themed DNC were meant to transform Vice President Kamala Harris from an unpopular number two into Obama number two.

Briefing with Brig. Gen. (res.) Amir Avivi on Developments in West Bank and Gaza

Peloni:  This is a very important briefing with Gen. Avivi.  He explains the situation on the Jordanian border as well as the importance of Israel maintaining the Philadelphia Corridor.  Avivi also addresses the recent murder of hostages by Hamas, explaining that Hamas wants to see Israeli society unraveling.  He reminds us that this is not a political debate, but a national security debate, one which must be focused upon achieving the established goals of the war, and all that is needed to be determined is what strategy should be pursued following the murder of the hostages:  should Israel surrender to Hamas or should Israel make Hamas pay a price for their continued murder of innocents.  Surely, the answer must be to have Hamas and their Iranian masters pay the ultimate price.  Hunt them down and kill them all!

Jonathan Schanzer: Let’s focus on who bears responsibility. Thread

Peloni:  Schanzer is absolutely correct.  The response to the slaughtered hostages must be the same as the response to the slaughtered from October 7.  The US and Israel must both focus on the problem which is centered in Tehran.  Notably, the US simply wants Israel to capitulate, but the problem will not be resolved with an Israeli surrender – it will in fact get far worse and irrevocably more impossible to resolve.

The Media’s Lies About ‘Settler Violence’

By

No one denies that some “settlers” — Jews living beyond the Green Line — have visited violence upon some Palestinians in Judea and Samaria. But the number of such attacks, what prompted them, and just how violent they were, are being reported on in ways that provide a misleading picture of what is actually going on. The reporting has been hostile and grossly inaccurate. More on this misreporting can be found here: “How Misleading Journalism Fuels a Destructive Narrative on Israeli Settler Violence,” by Channa Rifkin, HonestReporting, August 26, 2024:

Earthquake: Where was the Air Force?

Peloni: The following is a summary of some of the details revealed in a shocking report by Avi Weiss, which was recently aired on TOV.  We are all familiar with the absence of the air force during October 7 Massacre, but Weiss revealed that it was due to the intervention and supremacy of the Judiciary and more specifically, the Attorney General, over the political leadership which prevented the IDA from engaging the Army of Terrorists which were raping, murdering, mutilating and kidnapping innocent Israelis that day.  It is a twisted form of legal intervention which was applied to supplement the efforts of the enemy as they slaughtered the innocents of October 7, and in which the AG prevented Israel’s airforce from responding to the terrorists, specifically because of the potential that civilians might be harmed.  It is a gross aberration of logic, justice and morality which maintains a caring concern for civilians when in fact it was the Pal civilians who were streaming across the border to merrily participate in the ongoing Pogrom in the Otef and which was thereby facilitated by the efforts and interventions of Israel’s own AG and broken legal/judicial system.  Hence when air support was requested by the defenders of the nearly undefended communities under siege, even as this support was authorized by the political establishment, such authorization was overruled by the established supremacy of the AG and judiciary.

The protesters of Judicial Reform appeared to be well informed of what to expect when they predicted that when Israel would be attacked around the time it actually was attacked, and then predicted that there would be a deafening silence of any support for the Israeli people from the military, which they further predicted would lead to many dead Jews. Despite all this well informed foreknowledge by the protesters, they persisted with their protests, thus preventing the reform from being implementedwhich could have prevented the predicted slaughter from being realized.  Following this, as Israel was attacked as predicted, the preserved broken system which was so well cherished by the protesters was utilized to force all of these predictions made by the protesters into reality, and thereby providing them with a false pretense by which they subsequently blamed Bibi and the political leadership for failing to act and prevent October 7, when in fact, Bibi had been restrained from acting, specifically due to the successes of the very same anti-Judicial reform activists who were now charging him with the full burden of October 7.

Judicial Reform is an immediate and existential necessity which must be implemented as soon as possible.

Absolutely Devastating! Thread (closed)

Details released about Israeli hostages recently murdered by Hamas.

Peloni:  As we mourn the murders of these hostages, do not forget that their murderers have been receiving billions of dollars in US funding, before and after the slaughter of October 7.  Harris used the family of Hersh Goldberg Polin during her campaign, while the barbarians who murdered him were still receiving support from her govt, even as her govt is sanctioning Israelis who have not committed crimes, who have murdered no one, who have kidnapped no one.  Politics has consequences, and Harris’ connection with the Islamists in her govt and in her close association, including those who are pressing her to cut all weapon transfers to Israel, must have a consequence.

Israel’s Hodeidah Strike Briefly Deterred Houthis

Peloni: It remains an inconceivable aspect of our current state of affairs to have the greatest naval power in the world coordinate the greatest naval coalition in modern history, only for them all to act as little more than guardians overseeing the promotion of the greatest act of piracy in modern history.  All of this, while the US is voluntarily facilitating the payment of billions of dollars to masters of these pirates, who are in fact the center of a regional network of terrorists which are actively involved in the murder and maiming and kidnapping of American citizens and American servicemen.  Taking in all of this in turn, it does suggest that there is something far greater at play than the lack of political will to deal with these barbarians.

Israel’s strike on the Houthi-controlled Yemeni port of Hodeidah on July 20 appears to have had the desired effect, at least for now.

According to the Houthis, the attack struck an electricity generation station, an oil refinery, and fuel storage depots at the port. Israel, in its laconic statement taking responsibility for the operation, noted that “fighter jets struck targets of the Houthi terror regime.”

Will The Biden-Harris Administration Allow the World’s Leading State Sponsor of Terrorism to Acquire Nuclear Weapons?

by Majid Rafizadeh  • Gatestone Institute • August 31, 2024

Iran’s runaway strides in its nuclear program have taken place largely under the watch of the Biden-Harris administration. Will this administration allow the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism to acquire nuclear weapons? The prospect of Iran arming groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iraqi militias with nuclear weapons is bad for the world’s health. (Image source: iStock)

America 2024: Is antisemitism “the point?”

By MARTIN SHERMAN

Rather than side unreservedly with Israel after the brutally barbaric onslaught on it, the Democratic party & the Biden administration chose to take unprecedented measures against the elected government of a friendly nation.

There is no act of treachery or meanness of which a political party is not capable…- Benjamin Disraeli  (1804-1881) British Prime Minister

As the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) fades into the media’s rearview mirror, one thing is crystal clear: Just how much the two major parties differ on the issue of Israel—both in sentiment and substance—and underscored just how critical the upcoming November elections are for the Jewish State

Bastion of anti-Jewish sentiment?

Hamas on the Ropes

Peloni: I’m betting on Netanyahu’s stubborn determination” –  I am betting on this as well.  If Bibi were going to surrender to the West, something which is hardly in his interest, he has had plenty of opportunity to have done so by now, and instead, he has caused his opposition, both in the US and in Israel, to become ever more radical in their need to be rid of Bibi.  Like a scratch which they can not reach, they act out fits of imbiclitiy and desperation to remove Bibi by any means possible, and if he were in fact going to cooperate with their treacherous plans for Israel, for what purpose would their have been any deviation from the original dead pan of everyone working together and getting along so famously as was the ruse in the first months of the year.  So, I am betting on Bibi.

While top man Yahya Sinwar slithers from tunnel to tunnel to stay alive.

by

The IDF has been relentlessly killing Hamas’ top leaders and commanders with surgical strikes. On July 13, the long-sought military commander of Hamas in Gaza, Mohammed Deif, was assassinated. On July 31, the head of Hamas’ political wing, Ismail Haniyeh, was killed when a bomb exploded in his room at a heavily-guarded guesthouse in Tehran. Another dozen Hamas commanders, just below the top level, have been killed during the Gaza campaign. Only Yahya Sinwar, the man mainly responsible for the October 7 attacks, has still managed to stay alive, slithering from tunnel to tunnel underneath Gaza, bringing with him Israeli hostages whose proximity, he assumes, will preserve him from an IDF attack.
