Red Shoes in the Sunset

By Mark Steyn, JWR   March 11, 2024

Given the Deep State thumb on the scale in both 2016 (“Crossfire Hurricane”) and 2020 (fifty-seven heads of the “intelligence community” assure us that Hunter Biden’s laptop is “Russian disinformation”), no prudent person would bet on a free and fair election in November – especially after the Supreme Court intervention. As I always say: There’s no point having the greatest constitution in the world if you’ve got the crappiest election system in the world.

Hungary’s Orban Says Trump’s Plan To End Ukraine War Is To Cut Funding

Peloni:  I find it to be curious that Trump would choose to break this story thru Orban.

By RFE/RL’s Hungarian Service | Radio Free Europe | March 11, 2014

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban (left) and former U.S. President Donald Trump during their meeting in Florida on March 8

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, back in the country after a private meeting in the United States with Donald Trump, said the former president has “quite detailed plans” about how to end Russia’s war against Ukraine and won’t give Kyiv any further funding to hasten an end to the conflict.

Why Russians still support Vladimir Putin and the war in Ukraine

T. Belman. Nobody’s perfect. This article is totally ignorant of the reason why Russia launched a special military offensive in eastern Ukraine. When it says “A U.S.-backed Israel has been slaughtering civilians at a rate far exceeding anything Russian forces have done in Ukraine. And while western officials were quick to condemn Russian attacks on civilians, condemnations of Israel’s actions have been muted or non-existent.” it showns it has no understanding of the Gaza war

I’ll try to find a more knowledgeable article.

Russian president Vladimir Putin has announced he intends to run in the 2024 presidential election. Putin is almost certain to win what would be his fifth term as Russian president.

The news comes as little surprise. Putin has led Russia for 24 years and polls suggest Russia’s ongoing military campaign in Ukraine has bolstered support for him.

MARTYRDOM MISSION: Jihad pilot buried missing Malaysian Airlines flight 370 in sea trench as part of mass murder plot: Boeing expert

By Pamela Geller                                                                     10 March 2024

For some time, those of us reporting of the “disappearance” of flight 370 determined that, in all likelihood, it was jihad. Martyrdom by pilot. Photo above: “‘Democracy is dead’: ‘Fanatical’ missing airliner pilot pictured wearing political slogan T-shirt,”

Any attempts to report or cover that were immediately censored and scrubbed. The New York Times worked furiously to exonerate the pilot. Why did it take four years for officials to state the obvious? It took ten years  before they would release this critical piece of information. And legacy media will keep this under wraps as well. Sharia-compliant press.

Biden, Kamala Send Ramadan Message Empathizing With Hamas Supporters

A very special genocidal Ramadan message.

By Daniel Greenfield, FRONT PAGE                              11 March 2024

To commemorate the Islamic period of Ramadan, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris reached out to Muslims to express sympathy for the pain they’re feeling at having failed to kill all the Jews.

“The sacred month is a time for reflection and renewal. This year, it comes at a moment of immense pain. The war in Gaza has inflicted terrible suffering on the Palestinian people,” Biden messaged those Muslims who are deeply upset at their failure to wipe out the Jews in the months since Oct 7.

They reached out to Middlebury’s dean of students, Derek Doucet, with a draft poster promoting the event, which they invited administrators at the elite liberal arts school to attend.

WATCH — Netanyahu Hits Back at Biden on War: ‘He’s Wrong’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hit back Sunday at U.S. President Joe Biden over his criticism of the former’s conduct of the war in Gaza, saying that the president is “wrong” about the need to fight Hamas differently.

By Joel B. Pollak, BREITBART                                         10 March 2024

“He’s wrong,” Netanyahu said, in an interview with Politico.”The attempt to say that my policies … are not supported by most Israelis is false. The vast majority are united as never before, and they understand what’s good for Israel.”

Batya Ungar-Sargon on #hamas the #woke left and 7.10

Peloni: This is fantastic!  Batya Ungar-Sargon participated in a panel discussion with Mariam Memarsadeghi, and Nina Power on the topic of Reckoning with October 7: Panel 3, “Sexual Violence, Feminism, and the Hamas Massacre”Batya describes how the sexual torture and debasement of Jewish women is being celebrated as a tribute to the Woke ideology which has driven the Left to embrace the rapist terrorists’ dehumanizing the victims of October 7.  The clip below is magnificent, but the full panel discussion provides many interesting observations.

Batya Ungar-Sargon | March 8,  2024

To the woke, the less powerful has no responsibility to act ethically—their rank on the oppression scale means they have no agency, meaning they cannot act at all; they are inherently imbued with virtue and when they act in a heinous way, the agency is reassigned to their victim.

White House exploring how to force Netanyahu out – report

Peloni:  The attempts by the US to destroy Bibi will only result in making Bibi more popular with the Israeli people.  While the US sees Bibi as the obstacle to their Iranian integration program, they ignore the fact that Bibi is actually pursuing policies which the Israeli people want.

Stormclouds over Victoria Nuland’s head

The common opinion, at least in the West, about the starting date of the current crisis that might escalate into nuclear WWIII is February 24, 2022, with Putin’s “unprovoked” invasion of Ukraine.

However, many unbiased observers believe that it began with the Western-backed regime-change coup in Ukraine eight years earlier.  Victoria Nuland, at that time, was assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs (position rank No. 6 in the State Department structure), and it was she who coordinated this coup on the ground, thus earning the dubious title of “Mother of Maidan.”

How Did the German Taurus Leak Happen?

By Stephen Bryen, WEAPONS AND STRATEGY       9 March 2024

Entrance to the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn.

Since the big leak of the German officer’s Taurus conversation, the German authorities have been trying to explain how it happened.  The official position is that the intercept of the conversation happened in Singapore, not Berlin.  There one of the call’s participants, who was attending the Singapore Air Show (February 19 to February 25) returned to his hotel room late at night, after attending a party and, maybe having a few drinks, and around midnight connected to the discussion using Webex.  The German statement said either it was caused by a cellular phone using the insecure hotel wifi, or it was caused by a cell phone internet connection on a cellular network.

The BBC swallowed the Singapore story whole.

International Law or Antisemitism?

By Bat Ye’or, GATESTONE     10 March 2024

In its relentless fight against Israel, Europe has sacrificed its own territory and people to Palestinianism. • In his study on this subject, David Elber demonstrates that the UN has no possession of territorial sovereignty and therefore cannot decree the allocation of a territory over which it has no sovereignty (on the basis of the universal principle of law nemo dat quod non habet — no one can give what he does not possess), especially when this decision violates previous treaties endorsed by the UN itself. Resolution 181 only made suggestions to avoid the threat of war from the Arabs.

Biden: Israeli operation in Rafah would be a red line

Peloni: Here is the full quote from Biden regarding the supply of arms to Israel:

“I’m never going to leave Israel. The defense of Israel is still critical. So there’s no red line I’m gonna cut off all weapons so they don’t have the Iron Dome to protect them.”

Is this a threat to cut all weapons except Iron Dome?

US President tells MSNBC that Netanyahu “must, must, must” pay more attention to preventing civilian casualties in Gaza. “He hurts Israel more than he protects her. This is a mistake.”
