Prominent US think tank has secret ties to Iran regime – report

IPIS and the Crisis Group signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in 2016, predating much of the latter’s involvement in negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.

By JERUSALEM POST STAFF, JPOST FEBRUARY 4, 2024 10:11

Prominent Washington think tank the International Crisis Group, influential in the negotiation of the United States’ nuclear deal with Iran, has extensive but previously undisclosed connections to the Islamic Republic’s foreign ministry, according to a report from Iran International, a Persian-language news outlet frequently at odds with Iran’s government, which charges that the theocratic regime has used the experts “to lobby the US government on its behalf.”

The Palestinians have only one goal in life, and that’s to destroy the Jewish people.

The following tweet was published by a brother of an Israeli soldier returning from Gaza:

Ido Halbany, X February 2, 2024

My brother returned from Gaza and wanted to share what he saw. These are his words:

“What you see on social media is nothing. in every house in Gaza, there’s evidence of support and involvement in terror by Palestinian civilians considered ‘uninvolved’.

Saudis Open to Israel Bypassing Binding Steps for Palestinian State in Bid for U.S. Defense Pact

Peloni:  Washington, not the Saudis, are the source of support for the Pals and the TSS.

After U.S.-led efforts at normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel stalled amid the Gaza war, officials say Riyadh won’t insist Israel take concrete steps toward a Palestinian state – and will accept a political commitment to a two-state solution instead

Saudi Arabia would be willing to accept a political commitment from Israel to create a Palestinian state, rather than anything more binding, in a bid to get a defense pact with Washington approved before the U.S. presidential election, three sources said.

Months of U.S.-led diplomacy to get Saudi Arabia to normalize relations with Israel and recognize the country for the first time were shelved by Riyadh in October in the face of mounting Arab anger over the war in Gaza.

Two states, one for Jews, one for terrorists

Biden is more worried about Gaza’s “innocent civilians’ than about the 1,200 really innocent Israeli civilians who were butchered Oct. 7. And he wants to be sure Sinwar gets his reward for killing them – a state. Op-ed.

By Jack Engelhard, INN                                                    4 February 2024

How sweetly this is working out for Yahya Sinwar and the rest of them who run Hamas.

Not for them the disgrace of defeat when this is all over. Not for them anything like Japan’s ceremonial surrender aboard the battleship Missouri, MacArthur seeing to it that the Japanese delegation, heads bowed, signed all the papers to signify their formal humiliation and capitulation.

The Hamas terrorists have no such worries. For what they did Oct. 7, they are not being punished.

Netanyahu: ‘I don’t need help with international relations’

Peloni:  JPOST describes Ben Gvir’s interview with the WSJ, in which he also called for voluntary emigration, as a“… brief profile, which only included a handful of statements by Ben-Gvir alongside two menacing portraits shot by Jordanian-American photographer Tanya Habjouqa, focused on the political leverage the once-fringe politician has accumulated since being shepherded into the mainstream during Netanyahu’s year-long campaign to return to Balfour Street following his ouster in 2021.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu rebuked National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir for criticizing US President Joe Biden in a recent interview.

Prime Minister Netanyahu opened the cabinet meeting in the Kiriya base in Tel Aviv with comments on National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s recent criticism of US President Joe Biden.

“I do not need help to know how to manage our relations with the USA and the international community, while still standing strong behind our national interests. Thank God, I have been doing it for several years already.”

Israel’s Long War for the West

By Pete Hoekstra, GATESTONE                                    4 February 2024

  • The common thread weaving Hamas, Hezbollah and the Shia militias together is the significant funding and support each receives from Iran, which has in turn received it from the Obama and Biden administrations. When the Biden administration came in, Iran had $6 billion of reserves; it now has, according to former US Army Gen. Jack Keane, more than $100 billion– which is presumably what it used to finance its proxies and its nuclear program.

The Most Justified Impeachment in American History

By Daniel Greenfield, 04 Feb 12:16 AM

As the House Homeland Security Committee advanced articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over an invasion of the country by millions, Democrats and some Republicans argued that it was a “policy dispute” and not impeachable.

“Political and policy disagreements aren’t impeachable offenses,” former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff argued in a Wall Street Journal op-ed. The Journal‘s own editorial board used that same line in its own subheader opposing impeachment, arguing that, “a policy dispute doesn’t qualify as a high crime and misdemeanor.”

Inside the German War on Democracy

E. Rowell:  We are met with the globalist run phenomenon in a wide variety of democratic countries in both the northern and southern hemisphere, in which the elites wage war on the people, then when the people express their anger, they are identified as a “threat to democracy.”  In waging this war, the elites all but destroy the democracy in the name of saving it.  They cannot win.

Some in the German establishment are trying to disallow a popular opposition party, Alternative für Deutschland.

By Dieter Stein, AM CONSERVATIVE                       2 February 2024

Many American liberals obsess about a possible “Trump dictatorship” should the former President return to the White House this fall. In Europe, the mainstream media have long been haunted by the specter of right-wing politicians like Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, whom they claim are undermining democracy and the rule of law. But, at present, it is in Germany where democracy is really under threat.

Israel’s War on Hamas is the Least Deadly War in the Region

  • The moral calculus between the Allies and the Nazis in WWII did not change based on how many German civilians were killed in the bombings and artillery shelling on the road to Berlin. The morality of the American Civil War was not measured in civilian deaths, and neither is any other.
  • A nation is actively evil when it sets out to exterminate a civilian population. Whether it is WWII or the Hamas war: only one of the two sides was engaged in a total war of extermination.

US’ Middle East policy defied by Middle East reality

Ambassador (ret.) Yoram Ettinger, “Second Thought: a US-Israel Initiative” February 2, 2024,

*For the last 45 years, the US has attempted to pacify the anti-US Iran’s Ayatollahs, via dramatic financial and diplomatic gestures, to advance the cause of human rights and democracy in Iran, and to promote peaceful coexistence between Iran and its Sunni Arab neighbors. In fact, the 45-year-old US diplomatic option toward the Ayatollahs, has downplayed the centrality of the Ayatollahs’ ideology and their track record, assuming that “money talks.”  The US expected that dramatic financial and diplomatic gestures would induce the Ayatollahs to abandon their 1,400-year-old fanatical vision and become a constructive member of the global community.

Welcome to Dearborn, America’s Jihad Capital

Imams and politicians in the Michigan city side with Hamas against Israel and Iran against the U.S.

By Steven Stalinsky, WSJ  Feb. 2, 2024

Thousands march in support of Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran. Protesters, many with kaffiyehs covering their faces, shout “Intifada, intifada,” “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” and “America is a terrorist state.” Local imams give fiery antisemitic sermons. This isn’t the Middle East. It’s the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, Mich.

Jews will not be safe until our propaganda war is better than theirs.

We are in a Propaganda War.

It is time to blow the Shofar all over the world

If you go to war in your land against an adversary that oppresses you, you shall blow a teruah with the trumpets and be remembered before the Lord your God, and thus be saved from your enemies.

Since the rebirth of Israel in her legal historical and Biblical lands, she has not lost a war, not one, unlike America which has lost every war it has fought since WWII. And she will win the military war against Hamas. But, today, that is not enough. Not in a world of social media. Israel must win the Propaganda War and she is losing that war badly in the 21st century. She can learn about winning propaganda wars from Americans who are experts: the  Russia Hoax and Biden computer, and DEI come to mind, and the term Islamophobia.

Zaluzhny: Will He Stay or Will He Go Now?

Peloni: The public drama surrounding the removal of Zaluzhny from his position has had all the earmarks of a comedy skit from Zelenksy’s former profession playing out over the course of several days now.  It would, however, seem that the penny has finally dropped concerning Zelensky’s very measured steps in removing his top general.  As the Ukrainian president was notifying the not too well pleased American allies of his commitment to fire the long time leader of Ukraine’s forces, Zahuzhny was brandishing his credentials with the Far Right elements such as Right Sector.  It should be understood that the Far Right elements in Ukraine, including Right Sector have made more than one assault upon the ruling govt of Ukraine and also has been known to have openly threatened the life of Zelensky himself.

This story was first brought to light by Prof. Katchanovski who notably also broke the story regarding the Nazi who was celebrated in the Canadian Parliament last year.

Why are Iran and its proxies unlikely to be deterred by US strikes? – analysis

By Seth Frantzman, JPOST                                             3 February 2024

Iran believes that, in the long term, the US is slowly withdrawing from the region, likely emboldening Iran and its proxies to go for broke when Hamas attacked Israel on October 7.

Documenting the Enablers of Hamas War Crimes-UN agencies, NGO’s, and Governments

Prof. Gerald Steinberg,  EMETonline   January 31, 2024

International attention has not been placed on UNRWA, because of the complicity and activities of many UNRWA employees during the October 7th massacre. However, UNRWA is just one of many so-called “humanitarian organizations” and UN agencies who have aided and abetted Hamas, diverting funding to its terrorist activities, providing indoctrination and misinformation to media outlets throughout the world and to their own schoolchildren to learn to despise Jews.

Professor Gerald Steinberg, Director of the Program on Conflict Management at Bar-Ilan, and Director of NGO Monitor will provide an in-depth analysis.

US Strikes At Least 85 Targets In Iraq & Syria, Including From B1 Bombers

E. Rowell:  Amongst the options with which to respond to the death of three Americans available for the Biden Administration, attacking Iranian proxies instead of Iran directly showcases to Iran and the Middle East that the US is afraid to stand up to the regional bully, Iran.  This greatly empowers Iran.  While it might buy the administration a few months time, it will lead to a much greater loss of life in the long run.  The US has funded Iraq $3 billion dollars since 2014.

By Tyler Durden, ZERO HEDGE                                   2 February 2024

Update(1715ET)Importantly, there have been no reports of US airstrikes in Iran this evening, and US officials say that the Pentagon does not plan to hit targets inside the Islamic Republic. But the strikes on eastern Syria and in western Iraq were large, and targeted IRGC assets and personnel and their affiliates. According to a CENTCOM statement, the initial wave, which started at 4pm US Eastern Time (interestingly, just after markets closed), included over 85 targets, with some of them hit more than once:

The Two-State Delusion

The Biden administration is leading a push to recognize a Palestinian state that will be a danger to the security of Israel

BY ELLIOTT ABRAMS, TABLET   FEBRUARY 01, 2024

Everyone knows what to do about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: Arrange the “two-state solution.” That has been a commonplace for decades, going back to the Oslo Accords, all the international conferences, the “Roadmap,” and the efforts by a series of American presidents and their staffs of ardent peace processors.

In the West, the call for a “two-state solution” is mostly a magical incantation these days. Diplomats and politicians want the Gaza war to stop. They want a way out that seems fair and just to voters and makes for good speeches. But they are not even beginning to grapple with the issues that negotiating a “two-state solution” raises, and they are not seriously asking what kind of state “Palestine” would be. Instead they simply imagine a peaceful, well-ordered place called “Palestine” and assure everyone that it is just around the corner. By doing so they avoid asking the most important question: Would not an autocratic, revanchist Palestinian state be a threat to peace?

How To Ensure a Big, Ugly War with Iran

When serially attacked, loudly responding that we will only proportionally strike back and wish no wider war will only ensure a big, ugly one.

By

Iranian-backed militias have attacked American installations and forces in Syria, Iraq, and Jordan some 170 times.

Ostensibly, these terrorist groups claim they are hitting US forces to coerce America into dropping its support of Israel and demanding a cease-fire in the Gaza war.

In reality, these satellite terrorists are being directed in a larger effort by Iran to pry the US. out of the Middle East, in the manner of the 1983 Marine barracks bombing.
