Yoo Hoo, VP Vance––Your Character is Showing!

Peloni:  While Vance is not shy about demonstrating his contempt for Israeli MKs dealing with issues of sovereignty in Israel, he appears too timid to chastise the antisemites supporting him.  Joan’s reference to this being evidence of a character flaw is spot on accurate.  Leaders lead, while followers follow.  Whichever of these two groupings Vance might like to characterize himself, his failure in these matters are highly problematic.

“Maybe he had a stroke,” a nurse friend told me as she theorized about Tucker Carlson’s seemingly bizarre transformation from a rock-ribbed conservative commentator to a flaming anti-Semite whose hatred of both Jews and Israel found him interviewing––and nodding in delirious agreement with––fervid Hitler and Stalin admirer Nick Fuentes, among many other rabid racists.

Israel reprimands Ukrainian ambassador Korniychuk after stinging criticism of PM Netanyahu

Peloni:  It is funny reading that Ukraine’s ambassador found Netanyahu’s mention of Putin to be immoral.  Indeed, does anyone recall that Ukraine has voted more often with Russia than not on the topic of Israel, as they were each voting against Israel.  Was that moral?  More than this, what could be more immoral than to show support for the Two State Solution, particularly after October 7?  Yet support for this immoral demand remains to be Ukraine’s position as it was before October 7.  Notably, while we are on the topic of morality, Amb Korniychuk could learn a lesson or two about morality by studying Israel’s insanely overly moral military doctrine which not only has a higher moral standard than Ukraine (far higher), it results in far greater successes while taking far fewer casualties, even as it maintains far greater morale in the army and public without the need of dragging soldiers to the front lines.  Indeed, there is much which might be discussed on the subject of morality with the Ukrainian Ambassador, as I haven’t even addressed the penchant for Nazi insignia in Ukraine and the memorials of Nazi war criminals which adorn Ukraine’s countryside.

Fight To Keep China Out of U.S. K-12 Classrooms Comes to Congress

American children in grades K-12 are influenced by many things, including their parents, peers, and various forms of media. China, Qatar, and Iran don’t belong on the list, and three recent bills moving through Congress indicate that many lawmakers agree.

The shaky state of American Jewry

Sarah N. Stern | Dec 9, 2025

To describe the state of American Jewry after the warm spring of the 1950s through the early 1970s is akin to watching a shriveled brown leaf fluttering aimlessly in the wind in the midst of a cold and bitter winter.

At mid-century, the images of the Holocaust and its aftermath were still seared into the consciousness of the American public. Today, young students and even congressional staffers I meet on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., dismiss it as “ancient history.” The moral memory that once anchored U.S. society has been steadily eroding.

US Seizes Oil Tanker Off Venezuelan Coast, President Trump Confirms

Wallace White Defense Reporter | Daily Caller

Video Loads Below Article

The U.S. seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela, President Donald Trump confirmed Wednesday.

The tanker’s ownership and origin were not revealed, but Trump said the vessel was “very large” while speaking to reporters on Wednesday. The president did not offer the rationale behind the seizure during his remarks. “As you probably know, we’ve just seized a tanker on the coast of Venezuela,” he said. “Large tanker, very large, largest one ever seized actually.”

Did the Jews kill Jesus?

Diane Bederman | Dec 8, 2025

We are coming up to Christmas. The celebration of the birth of Jesus. A holiday that brings joy to everyone. How can it not? So much happiness; Santa laughing, presents shared, families together. Christian or not, this time of year is lovely.

I, along with my fellow Jewish classmates, “celebrated” Christmas back in the 1950’s. It was lovely. We put decorations on the tree, we shared gifts, we sang songs. We all knew we were not Christian; that we were Jews and celebrated Chanukah around the same time. But Christmas time was always a fun time – not religious for us. But we all understood the importance to our Christian friends.

TRUMP DEMANDS ELECTIONS IN UKRAINE — ZELENSKY RESPONDS WITH CONDITIONS & NO TERRITORIAL CONCESSIONS!

Peloni:  The first 4mins of this Ukrainian news video provides an fair estimate of recent events including Trump’s renewed call for Zelensky to finally face election, and Zelensky calling for US security assurances.  What is interesting in the conversation which follows from the talking heads is that they appear to be afraid of nothing so much as new elections, claiming that it will provide Russia the opportunity to install a “fifth column” govt.  The pro-war faction in Ukraine does indeed have much to be concerned about, but with Ukraine being Ukraine, well, elections should be expected to be highly influenced by those who count the votes.

Trump’s Policy on Israel

Peloni:  See also dubbed video at the bottom which was originally aired one month after the article linked by Janet below.

Dr. Francisco Gil-White’s partial list (all citations are available at his Substack):

  1. – He stopped Israel in Gaza before even taking office, forcing the ceasefire that Biden wanted, and protected Hamas;
  2. – He wants Israel out of Lebanon pronto, thus protecting Hezbollah;
  3. – He’s said about the Qataris—Hamas’s patrons—that “We had a great relationship during my [first-term] years in the White House, and it will be even stronger this time around!”, a claim supported by Trump’s up-and-coming golf course in Qatar and his new, ‘palace in the sky’ Air Force One jet that he’ll be flying in—a gift from the Qataris (more on Qatar here);

J STREET’S “MORAL STAIN” IS …

Peloni:  A moral stain is what is formed from the use by J Street and other leftist organizations of the pejorative term ‘West Bank’ to inaccurately describe the ancient Jewish lands of Judea and Samaria as being legally and legitimately connected to any nation other than Israel.  The British Jordanian forces known as the Arab Legion stole these lands without the slightest basis upon which to claim legitimacy, and have now relinquished any claim of lands West of the Jordan River as their own.  There is no West Bank.  There is only Israel, and only a resistance to recognize the

Israel’s Proxy Plan in Gaza Just Took a Hit

Peloni:  Aynaz provides an important overview of the Israeli plan to offshore its responsibilities in Gaza in an effort to ignore realities.  Peaceful outcomes are impossible to find at the end of paths which fail to eliminate Iranian/Qatari/Turkish threats.   Hamas must be removed root, stem and leaf before any credible replacement might be credibly fashioned, and the failure to do so will only serve to turn the clock back to October 6, as the grass mowing begins anew.  Eliminating security threats of an existential nature can not be considered to be optional, they can not be left for others to eliminate, and they can not be allowed to strengthen and grow.

When a Band-Aid solution becomes the strategy

Yasser Al Shabab. Screengrab via YoutubeYasser Al Shabab. Screengrab via Youtube

In August, I warned what would happen if Israel continued relying on shortcuts in Gaza, tribal intermediaries, warlord placeholders, and improvised “local governance” models that pretended Hamas was negotiable. At the time, Yasser Abu Shabab was being introduced as the newest alternative: a tribal militia leader, recently escaped from prison, suddenly elevated as the man who might help fill the imagined vacuum that Israel and Washington pretended would be created in Gaza after Hamas leaves. I described him as a Band-Aid on a wound no one wanted to clean. His death has now confirmed that warning.

Qatar’s Influence Exposed

Peloni:  This report is very disturbing.  Are Republicans actually planning to win in November, or are they simply doing everything possible to put the Dems back in power?  The corruption in Washington is not getting better.  Foreign influence contrary to US interests is worsening.  There has been no accountability for crimes committed against the American people.  What appears more and more to be a charade with Muslim Brotherhood influence in the US is just one aspect of this.  These stark realities will come to have a political cost in the next 11 months.

“WE ARE BEING EXTERMINATED”: The Real Genocide, Religious Minorities Slaughtered in Syria

Peloni:  Also see:  Sheikh Muwaffaq Tarif, spiritual leader of the Druze community, has gone to Geneva, seeking high level meetings with UN officials to describe “the war crimes, ethnic-cleansing attempts, and the horrific crimes committed against Druze women in Sweida, calling on the UN to take a firm stand and act immediately” taking place in Jabal al-Druze and Sweida since July.

The silence is deafening as Christians, Alawites, and Druze are hunted for their faith — met with near-total silence from the media, the United Nations, and global leaders. Instead, their rabid and singular obsession remains the dehumanization and elimination of the nation of the Jewish people.

From Israel: Illusions That Pass As Policy!

Arlene Kushner | December 9, 2025

Evan Vucci/AP

When last I wrote, I addressed Trump’s penchant for simplifying the situation in the Middle East in order to conform to his vision of how matters should be proceeding. “Should be” because he wants to be hailed as a peacemaker, and because he hopes for stability (which might look like peace but is not) so that he can focus elsewhere. Eager to see speedy resolution of an exceedingly complex situation, he tends to paint a picture that is illusory.
