Liberal Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced at a press conference on Wednesday that America’s northern neighbor was planning to recognize a Palestinian state in September’s United Nations (UN) General Assembly. The Syrian revolution was not an uprising for liberty, freedom, or democracy. It was a manifestation of Sunni Islamists, backed by Turkey and Qatar, venting their rage against the rule of Assad, supported by Shia Islamist Iran.
