Self-control, or government control?

By Eric Utter, AM THINKER

Former Speaker of the House Robert Winthrop once noted, “All societies of men must be governed in some way or another. The less they may have of stringent state government, the more they must have of individual self-government. The less they rely on public law or physical force, the more they must rely on private moral restraint. Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled either by a power within them or a power without them, either by the Word of God or by the strong arm of man, either by the Bible or the bayonet.”

This is why today’s hyper-secular progressive Democrats disdain religion. When it comes down to the brass tacks of what they value, government control best self-control.

Major Israeli study: COVID death rate among elderly slashed by 72% after 4th vaccine

Israel raced to give extra boosters before most countries in December; research also shows shots cut hospitalization by over 60%; says study author: ‘They’re lifesavers’

10 July 2022,

Fourth COVID-19 vaccine shots have provided a 72 percent reduction in death rates among the most vulnerable Israelis, according to new peer-reviewed research.

The finding comes from a large Israeli study that analyzed data on elderly people in care homes who received four shots, comparing them to those who only took three. It was conducted during last winter’s coronavirus outbreak, which was dominated by the Omicron variant.

Shurat HaDin says journalist killed by Palestinians, not by Israeli soldier

T. Belman.  In a recent comment, I wrote,  I wouldn’t put it past the PA to kill the reporter using a stolen Israeli gun and bullet. It would not have been the first time that it staged a murder to frame Israel.

JERUSALEM – The head of Israeli civil rights organization Shurat HaDin-Israel Law Center pinned the responsibility for the death of Shireen Abu Akleh, an Al-Jazeera journalist, on Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas in a complaint filed with the International Criminal Court, Fox News Digital can now reveal.

“It is obvious that the PLO’s (Palestine Liberation Organization’s) terrorist gangs in Jenin are the more reasonable shooters to be suspected and held liable for the reporter’s death,” Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, president of Shurat HaDin-Israel Law Center, who filed the suit, told Fox News Digital.

Gantz and Sa’ar sign political merger

By Ted  Belman.

As Min of Defence, Gantz gave away Area C. by permitting the illegal Arab construction.  He also kissed up to Abbas begging him to stop the violence that Abbas was responsible for.  He also turned a blind eye to Abbas’ support of terrorism and kept giving the PA more money. He should never be Min of  Defense let alone the Prime Minister. Sa’ar, who used to fashion himself as a right winger when he was in Likud, should now be held responsible for the policies of Gantz because he is  supporting him.

If this is the center, I want no part in it.

Any party that doesn’t pledge itself to keep all of Jerusalem and all of area C should not be supported.

Ben-Gvir responded to the reports as well, saying, “The union between Sa’ar and Gantz shows Sa’ar’s desire to connect with the Left. Benny Gantz, who has proven to be a leftist who wants to promote Oslo II, meets with the terrorist Abu Mazen [Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas] and makes him relevant.

Israel, the Victor, Should Demand Palestinian Concessions Ahead of Biden Visit

by Karma Feinstein Cohen, JNS   July 6, 2022

Ahead of U.S. President Joe Biden’s upcoming visit to the Middle East, the Palestinians are demanding that the Americans capitulate to their demands to reopen a U.S. consulate in Jerusalem that would serve the Palestinians, remove the PLO from the U.S. list of designated terrorist organizations and reopen the PLO office in Washington D.C. All this will put pressure on Israel to stop its preventative security operations in Judea and Samaria and come to the negotiating table.

Israel should take this opportunity to make demands of its own.

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Policies: A Danger to Jews and All Americans

By Gila and Adam Milstein

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies and programming are increasingly embraced in American institutions. This is particularly true in education, from leading American universities to elite prep schools. The ostensible goals of DEI are positive: to promote the representation, participation, and fair treatment of historically marginalized groups.

However, DEI, which is closely linked to critical race theory (CRT), has been deployed to advance a radical agenda that undermines fundamental American values by promoting equality of outcome over equality of opportunity, collective identity (race, gender, etc.) over individual character, censorship of opposing viewpoints over freedom of speech, and a victim culture that crudely bifurcates society into oppressors and oppressed.

Trump, Johnson and Netanyahu are flawed leaders

T. Belman. Melanie blames Trump for insisting “that the 2020 election was stolen from him through fraud so widespread that it reversed the true result” causing a rift in the country. I see it differently, Trump is unifying the country as more and more Americans flock to his banner.

(JNS) Boris Johnson’s decision to quit as prime minister of the United Kingdom followed unprecedented scenes in the British parliament this week, as he clung on to power despite the resignation of more than 50 of his ministers in an attempt to force him out.

The immediate cause of the revolt was a series of last straws over his perceived personal dishonesty—first by breaking his own COVID laws and, most recently, lying about his promotion of a “sex-pest” Member of Parliament.

Brussels: Capital of Europe or Eurabia?

by Giulio Meotti, GATESTONE  •  July 10, 2022

  • “Molenbeek would love to be forgotten, because it is the very example of the failure of the multicultural society, which remains an untouchable dogma in Belgium”. — Alain Destexhe, honorary Senator in Belgium and former Secretary General of Doctors Without Borders, Le Figaro, May 3, 2022.

A Revolution Against the Administrative State

By Daniel Greenfield, 10 Jul 01:01 AM

Four days before Independence Day, the Supreme Court fired its own shot at the modern tyranny that has dismantled the Constitution and runs our lives to a degree King George III could never have imagined and that the Founding Fathers would never have tolerated.

The shot fired at the administrative state was almost missed in the fury over the Supreme Court’s abortion ruling. While the amateur liberals who live on ActBlue, wield blue checkmarks on Twitter and inhabit blue states raved over the fall of Roe v. Wade, the professionals of Washington D.C. were much more worried about another Supreme Court decision.

Why is the Flawed Palestinian Cause So Prominent on the Hard Left?

by Alan M. Dershowitz, GATESTONE INSTITUTE  •  July 10, 2022

  • Why does the Palestinian cause get so much attention, when there are much more compelling causes around the world such as those of the Kurds, Uyghurs, and other stateless and oppressed people? There are more demonstrations on university campuses against Israel than against Russia, China, Belarus and Iran. Why?
  • The answer has little to do with the Palestinians, and everything to do with Israel, as the nation state of the Jewish people. It is a political manifestation of international antisemitism. It is only because the nation accused of oppressing Palestinians is Israel.

From Constitutional Republic to Socialism to Globalism to Feudalism

by Linda Goudsmit, PUNDICITY      July 9, 2022

Globalism is a replacement ideology that seeks to reorder the world into one planetary Unistate, ruled by the globalist elite themselves, of course. Globalism has declared war on the nation state, and cannot succeed without collapsing the United States of America. The tactical strategy is the incremental movement of America from constitutional republic -> socialism -> globalism -> feudalism. The target is your children. This is how it works.

Every natural force on Earth from fire to nuclear energy has the potential for construction or destruction. This inherent duality presents man with moral choices between construction and destruction. Traditional Judeo-Christian morality deems construction good and destruction bad. What happens when the accepted foundational morality of society is challenged by a competing narrative that insists construction is bad and destruction is good? Let’s find out.

Report: 75 Percent of $800 Billion Paycheck Protection Program Never Reached Employees

By

Anew report by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis revealed that American taxpayers ended up paying $4 for every $1 in wages and benefits that workers received as a result of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

Just The News reports that the study also revealed how the PPP ultimately did not protect jobs that were at risk of disappearing during the pandemic, and that money overwhelmingly went to wealthier households rather than middle- and low-income households.

Critical race theory, transgenderism and ‘diversity, equity and inclusion’ are destroying our military

By Tony Lentini, AM THINKER

Military recruitment in the United States is way down at the same time as the Biden Administration is driving out so-called “White supremacists” (anybody who voted for Trump or believes in the Constitution), those opposed to taking the COVID vaccine due to religious or health concerns or natural immunity, and people who refuse to use the preferred pronouns of gender activists.  The result of all this is a neutered and divided military increasingly unable to fight and win wars.

Recent polling by the University of Chicago found that two-thirds of Republican and Independent voters and 51 percent of self-described “very liberal” voters agree that the U.S. government is “corrupt and rigged against everyday people like me.”  Trust in all our institutions is falling and the military is no exception.

Why Israel Should Not Talk to the PA

by Victor Rosenthal    July 9, 2022

The Palestinian Authority (PA) has let it be known that its 86-year old leader, Mahmoud Abbas, is prepared to talk to Israel’s caretaker Prime Minister, Yair Lapid, about a “diplomatic horizon” for the Palestinians. No doubt this is prompted by the planned visit of US President Joe Biden to Israel and the PA next week.

That would be a terrible idea.
