Hours after Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid hailed Egypt for its role in brokering a ceasefire with the Islamic Jihad terror group, the Arab nation’s representative at the United Nations lashed out at Israel for its “flagrant violation” of Palestinian rights, citing inaccurate statistics to prove his point and denouncing the Jewish state’s blockade of Gaza – while conveniently omitting mention of his own country’s blockade of the Strip.

The Iranian regime claimed this month that it foiled two Israeli spy rings’ attempts to enter the Islamic Republic. What were those spy rings looking for? Nuclear arms secrets?  Maybe not.

Israel has recently targeted non-nuclear personnel who direct weapons transfers and plan terrorist acts. Rather than just attack Iran’s proxies in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq, Israel has decided to attack the head of the octopus within Iran. And they are being uncharacteristically open about it. Israel’s National Security Adviser, Eyal Hulata, went as far as to say that Israel has “acted quite a lot in Iran over the past year.”

Testing of a U.S. air defense system with components from Iron Dome, pioneered by Israel and backed by the U.S.

The US State Department has approved the potential sale of Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system missiles, THAAD fire control and communication stations, and related equipment to the United Arab Emirates, Reuters reported this week. In addition, the “State Department has approved the potential sale of Patriot missiles and related equipment to Saudi Arabia in a deal valued at up to $3.05 billion,” the Pentagon said on Tuesday.

Another round of fighting in Gaza has ended with a brokered cease-fire after a limited yet deadly exchange of fire between a terror organization and the Israel Defense Forces. The fighting lasted three days, more than 1,000 rockets were fired at Israel—including toward Tel Aviv and Jerusalem—and millions of Israelis found cover and relative safety thanks to the phenomenal Iron Dome, which intercepted more than 96% of the lethal rockets aimed at Israeli civilians.

Operation Breaking Dawn enters 3rd day; military says terror groups launched nearly 600 rockets at Israel, including toward Jerusalem; 120 fall short, some killing Palestinians

The Israeli Air Force struck a Palestinian Islamic Jihad “attack tunnel” in the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Sunday morning, the military said, as Operation Breaking Dawn entered the third day.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, the tunnel, built several meters underground from the southern Gaza city of Rafah, was to be used to “enter and attack Israel by surprise.”

The sixth doctor also in his thirties, a newcomer to Canada from India, died also in a hospital in Saskatchewan.

What is also shocking is the lack of rage and indignation from family members and from the general public. Israel has recently killed a military leader of the Iran-backed Islamic Jihad terror group in Gaza.  Tayseer al-Jabari, who was killed by an Israeli airstrike on 5 August, was the key military commander for the said group and has been considered the group’s leader since 2019.  The killing was the first step in what Israel named Operation Breaking Down to target Islamic Jihad operations and installations in Gaza.

The timing of the killing and the launch of the operation remains a mystery to some because the Islamic Jihad was not engaged in launching rockets against Israel at the time and the front with Gaza has been quiet since the last major confrontation in May of 2021.

Last week, the al Qaeda leader Ayman al Zawahiri was assassinated by American forces in his safe house in Kabul. Reaction ranged from congratulatory and admiring to a muted sucking of teeth by those on the wrong side in the war against the west.
