Although Raphael Lemkin, a Polish Jew who escaped to America in 1939, lost 49 family members in the Holocaust, invented the word genocide in 1944, and cited the fate of Armenians in 1915 at the hands of the barbaric Turks as an example of genocide, he was wrong about that, and on 28 June when the GOI (Government of Israel) joined the hostile gentile world by admitting that the Armenians were targeted for genocide too, that was another mistake.

The Treasury Department’s issuance on June 22 of a license pausing Iranian petroleum sanctions appears to be inconsistent with the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act (INARA), which prohibits such relief for 30 days after a U.S. nuclear agreement with Iran is submitted to Congress. The U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was submitted to Congress on June 18. The 30-day period was designed to provide Congress time to review a nuclear agreement with Iran — and potentially reject it — prior to implementation.

Peloni:  The important task of standing firm in opposing the sale of advanced US hardware to Erdogan’s Turkey appears to stand with the US Congress.  Trump’s Turkey policy has consistently aided Turkey’s strengthening grip on power in the region and beyond, something which has been highly regrettable for US allies and US interests, even as it was avoidable.  Amb. Tom Barrack has come to play a vital role in these developments, and his growing position in the Trump administration continues to parallel Trump’s growing support for Erdogan.  The consequences of this new reality has included Erdogan’s rhetorical banter encompassing greater and greater threats being made against Israel alongside the countering of vital US interests, not least of which is the ceding of control of the Horn of Africa to the Muslim Brotherhood led Turkish leader.  Hence, as the Trump administration has failed to do anything but encourage Erdogan’s ambitions of empire building, the role of oversight by the US Congress now becomes all the more pivotal.

Peloni: It is interesting to see how “Peace in Our Time” keeps changing from a very bad deal to an even worse very bad deal.  The refusal to allow an end to the war in Gaza has now led to the capitulation on the very point on which the war in Gaza was begun: the elimination of Hamas as an armed and ruling entity.  While funding of Iran has resumed at an exponential pace, Washington’s new policy betrayal in Gaza would leave the same butchers of October 7 in control there, and would allow the entire fiasco leading upto October 7 to play out all over again.  Tolerating enemies capable of making war on the Israeli people is what led to October 7.  This insanity must not be allowed to continue.  The Old Conceptzia must finally be ended, and Washington must be reminded of the commitments which it agreed to as prerequisites in its own stated plans for Gaza which included the elimination of Hamas if it did not disarm within 36hrs.  Well, its been 8 months since that deadline expired and Washington’s Peace Processors have come to the conclusion that the quintessential element of the 20 Point plan should be ignored so as to not spoil the ruse of having once again achieved Peace in the Middle East.  Netanyahu must stand firm in opposing this outrageous proposal which once again places the whims of the Peace Processors far above the security demands of the Israeli people.

Since US President Donald Trump signed the agreement with Iran that will bring the war to an end without achieving any of the goals he had set for himself, and worse, an agreement that strengthens the Iranian regime and grants Tehran the status of a regional power it never had before, Trump has repeatedly justified his surrender to the Iranians by saying that he did not want a “global economic catastrophe,” and that because of the agreement, the stock market in New York “soared like a rocket” and oil prices fell dramatically.

Peloni: We are told that the era of the old pre October 7 Conceptzia is dead, that lessons learned from the cauldrons of tragedy on October 7 and the long road since that terrible day will prevent the return to October 6, and thereby prevent a similar slaughter in the future.  Yet, is this what we are witnessing taking place today?  Is today’s policy of feeding Iran with access to billions in cash different from feeding Hamas with billions in cash which led to October 7?  I think the consequences of keeping our enemies alive represents a serious threat to the survival of the Israeli people, but also to the survival of Western civilization.

Of course, support from and for Washington’s hand on the lever deciding regional policy was always a motivating factor in what led to the formation of the October 6 Conceptzia, and such a dependency for and offshoring of Israel’s national interests seems to still be well vested in the current dilemma in which new revenue streams are being provided to an even more menacing terror entity in Iran than existed in Gaza.  Hence, such realizations beg the question, how is what is taking place today in Iran different from what led to October 6?

Is the new Conceptzia being acted upon today really different from the old Conceptzia which we were led to believe was dead?  We live in an age of miracles, where a tiny nation stand strong against the 8-front war being waged against us.  Yet, will the most pivotal miracle of all be encapsulated in the reality that keeping our enemies alive to serve foreign interests is the guiding principle which ties the Old Conceptzia to what replaced it?

Janet Levy:  This month, the Trump State Department issued a report declaring the Republic of Somaliland a region of the lawless, Islamic terrorist state of Somalia, handing a strategic victory to Erdogan.

Somaliland, a former British colony, gained independence in June 1960. A few days later, it joined Somalia, which had been an Italian colony. After the brutal dictatorship of Muhammad Siad Barre and the collapse of the state, Somaliland declared its independence as the Republic of Somaliland. Over the past 35 years, it has been a democracy with free elections and the rule of law. It has its own bicameral parliament, a military, and a currency.

In December, Israel was the first country to recognize Somaliland. Trump mocked Israel’s action by affirming that the U.S. would not recognize the country and asking, “Does anyone know what Somaliland is, really?”

Peloni:  The deal to negotiate a deal has no chance of brokering any deal.  What it does make absolutely certain, however, is that the Mullahs and the IRGC will be significantly more wealthy when the deal falls apart, and more capable of responding militarily to the US when this eventually does occur.  The only advantage gained in lieu of this geopolitical debacle is time, political convenience, and hopefully only a delay before the final battle ends the charade of America returning to resurrect its policy of weakness at the feet of the Ayatollahs.
