The founding fathers did not see themselves as constituting a new version of classical Greece.  Instead, they saw themselves as biblically inspired Romans, which is to say, modern Republicans.

Paul Meany has written insightfully about how the founding fathers were enamored of the Roman Republic and how, in many ways, collectively and personally, they modeled themselves on the ancient Romans.

The Founders lavished praise upon Roman heroes who defended their government from tyranny in the Republic’s turbulent final days[.] … [M]any 18th century Americans felt an affinity for ancient Rome, there are many parallels between the two societies. Akin to the Republican Romans, 18th-century Americans were mainly rural farmers[.] … The Romans praised the virtues of independence, patriotism, and moderation, which were also cornerstones of American society[.] … By anchoring arguments for freedom to ancient precedent, Revolutionary American authors aimed to demonstrate that their arguments were timeless and firmly embedded in history. Historians like Plutarch, Livy, and Tacitus successfully encapsulated in writing the eternal and unavoidable struggle between liberty and power[.] … Many of the educated American Revolutionaries did more than just read about the Romans as a scholarly pursuit — they actively tried to emulate their behavior and virtues.

The CyFIR Report on Friday showed the digital findings from Maricopa County’s forensic audit of the 2020 election. Founder Ben Cotton and his team allegedly found instances of cybersecurity breaches and malfeasance on the part of Maricopa County. Cotton remarked at one point in his presentation, “The election was neither accountable or secure.” 

CyFIR’s founder, Ben Cotton, is no stranger to the world of digital forensics. “A technical visionary and pioneer in Cyber Security and Computer Forensics for the U.S. Government and the SOCOM,” Cotton’s bio states:

For a long time, Syria had been counted out by Middle East observers as a viable threat to Israel. Turkey as well, was seen as a has been, but both are narratives that only exist before Russia delved into the Middle East fray. Now, with the military and financial backing that Russia injects into these partners, it can essentially terms to Israel.

Just 2,386 new coronavirus cases reported as infection rate continues to decline.

A total of 2,386 new cases of the coronavirus were diagnosed across Israel Tuesday, according to data released by the Health Ministry Wednesday morning, down from 5,178 new cases reported Monday.

The sharp decline in the number of newly diagnosed cases was a result in part of the lower number of tests conducted Tuesday, falling from 139,459 tests on Monday to 73,080 on Tuesday, when marked the Simchat Torah and Shmini Atzeret festivals.

State attorney general might not be the elected position that comes to mind when assessing the pandemic response, but Landry believes that his counterparts in other states have a vital role to play in ensuring that pharmacies, medical boards, and licensing boards are following the laws.

Merkel’s Christian Democrats lost their bearings, and voters.

It’s hard to say whether Germany’s muddled election Sunday had a winner, but it definitely had a loser. The center-right Christian Democrats of departing Chancellor Angela Merkel, in power for 16 years, crashed to their worst electoral result ever. Something more than simple exhaustion with the party’s long tenure is at work.

Not only did Ms. Merkel’s CDU and Bavarian sister party CSU come second with a combined 24.1% vote share behind the Social Democrats (SPD) at 25.7%. The CDU/CSU lost nearly nine percentage points from the last election in 2017. This is a bigger drubbing than the CDU suffered in 1998 when voters ousted Helmut Kohl after 16 years in power. The party’s vote share fell by 6.4 points then, and that was against the backdrop of economic turmoil following reunification.

When did we discover that we must listen to oppressed billionaire Oprah from her $90 million Montecito estate commiserating with a billionaire Lebron or royal Meghan Markle about the racist white establishment? Is there anyone in the recent Washington intelligence and investigatory hierarchy who has not lied or feigned loss of memory under oath—a low bar that nevertheless excludes, among others, John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Robert Mueller, or Peter Strzok?

So, Joe Biden allegedly got his third jab on live TV on Monday.  He was already “fully vaccinated” and still wore a mask.  Does that give anyone confidence in the vaccine?

Then he said that he would not allow us to return to normal until 98% of all Americans are vaccinated!  While the CDC is sure to approve the vaccines for ages five and up before the end of the year, despite the hundreds of thousands of vaccine injuries and deaths, Biden must think we need to vax newborns the moment they take their first breath (if they are not killed and dissected, their body parts sold first as permitted by the Democrat bill just passed in the House).

Lawmakers say report could be used to target terror group’s funding channels

The Biden administration is withholding from Congress a legally mandated report on Hezbollah’s financial empire, information that lawmakers could use to increase pressure on the Iranian-backed terror group.

Congress ordered the State and Treasury Departments in early 2019 to produce a publicly available report on Hezbollah senior leadership’s funding channels as part of legislation known as the Hezbollah International Financing Prevention Amendments Act of 2018. The bill mandated a report be produced 180 days after it was passed, by April 2019. The Trump administration never produced a report and the Biden administration is withholding it too.

Accuses Israel of war crimes, ethnic cleansing

The San Diego chapter of the American Federation of Teachers passed a resolution this month rejecting Israel’s legitimacy as a country and accusing the Israeli government of carrying out ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and war crimes against Palestinians.

In the resolution, AFT Guild Local 1931, which represents community college teachers in San Diego, refers to Israel as “historic Palestine” and calls on the Biden administration to “hold Israel accountable for its complete disregard of international law” and implement a “prompt reassessment of military aid to Israel.”

The Biden administration is preventing the rescue of persecuted Christian minorities from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, where they face certain and likely gruesome death.

This information surfaced on August 26, 2021, during an interview between Glenn Beck and Tucker Carlson on Fox News.  Through his charity, the Nazarene Fund, Beck had managed to charter planes to airlift 5,100 Christians out of Afghanistan and into neighboring nations.  Before long, however, U.S. officials intervened and prevented the escape of a batch of 500 Christians, mostly women and children, who were ordered outside of the airport’s protection zone:  “I have pictures of them pleading to get back through the gate,” Beck continued:

You can tell that Tucker Carlson is directly over the enemy target by the amount of flak sent his way.  The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), formerly a reputable, even noble group when it pursued its original goal, the protection of Jews from persecution, is once again trying to get Carlson fired from his job at Fox News, where he is the ratings champion, not merely of the network, but of cable news in its entirety.  His crime: accurately describing the strategy of the Democrats to import millions of people dependent on government benefits, so as to counteract the trend of native-born American voters toward conservatism.  The theory is that people who want and need government benefits will vote Democrat.
