In 2020, at the World Economic Forum, David Solomon, the CEO of Goldman Sachs, proclaimed that the investment firm wouldn’t take corporations public unless they had at least one “diverse” member on their board. The ostensible logic: a diverse leadership performs better by avoiding groupthink. But the proclamation came too late. Six months before, the last S&P 500 company with an all-male board had inducted a woman. Goldman was actually virtue-signaling to divert attention from its role in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal, described in 2016 as the “largest kleptocracy case to date.” Goldman had paid $1 billion in bribes to win work raising money for 1MBD, a slush fund linked to then Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak and corrupt officials. Fined $5 billion for its machinations, Goldman was embracing “woke” to burnish its credentials.

Ivermectin, a drug used to fight parasites in third-world countries, could help reduce the length of infection for people who contract coronavirus for less than a $1 a day, according to recent research by Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.

Prof. Eli Schwartz, founder of the Center for Travel Medicine and Tropical Disease at Sheba, conducted a randomized, controlled, double-blinded trial from May 15, 2020, through the end of January 2021 to evaluate the effectiveness of ivermectin in reducing viral shedding among nonhospitalized patients with mild to moderate COVID-19.

Portugal on Wednesday became the first EU country to ban travel from Israel due to a rise in cases. Both countries are following the EU’s recommendation to remove Israel from its list of green countries.

T. Belman. This interview is two years old. If anything, Europe is more dead now though some countries are attempting to resuscitate themselves. But the percentage of Muslims in the population will continue to increase, the Church and its followers will continue to implode and the national identities of the various countries are no longer.

The question is often asked will the Jewish people survive, I always ask, survive as what. The same goes for Europe. In essence it is transforming into something new and what was, is no longer.

But Israel will survive as a Jewish state so long as it continues to embrace its Torah. But the worry is, how will it survive if Europe is no longer Europe as we knew it but another Muslim continent.  I shutter to think of it.

On Monday, a lawsuit was filed on behalf of 20 Republican-led states against the Biden Administration, pointing out that the administration’s wide-reaching demands to force “transgender” students to compete in the wrong sports and use the wrong facilities was based on an overreaching and incorrect interpretation of a prior Supreme Court ruling, The Hill reports.

The group is led by Tennessee Attorney General Herbert Slatery (R-Tenn.), and was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Among the states joining in on the lawsuit are Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Mississippi, Nebraska, and South Carolina.

The reviews at home were mixed for Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s first meeting with President Joe Biden. Many of those who despise Bennett’s right-wing principles thought he did a good job, while most of those who share his views were appalled by his performance.

The disconnect is understandable. The drumbeat of personal invective against Bennett from former allies and friends has been constant since he assumed the role of leader of the current coalition in June. For those who think Bennett “betrayed” the right by joining with left-wingers, Arabs and right-wing critics of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, everything he does is always going to be wrong.

Forcefully rejecting the fears expressed by many in the Muslim world regarding the Taliban’s rise to power in Afghanistan, ‘Adlan claimed its members are “admirable people,” graduates of excellent shari’a schools who adhere to the tradition and avoid sin, and who are renowned for their jihad and steadfastness.  Moreover, upon the withdrawal of the U.S. forces they did not seek revenge but immediately extended their hand to the Afghan people in forgiveness, he said. ‘Adlan stressed that, if the Taliban indeed made a deal with the Americans in order to affect their withdrawal, there is no shame in this.

$100 billion of financial assets are currently being relocated to the U.S from Switzerland, half of which will end up in Israel.

Riots near Gaza border

Senior Palestinian Arab and Egyptian officials said on Wednesday that Egypt is exerting heavy pressure to complete the exchange deal between Israel and Hamas, which would see release of security prisoners in exchange for the return of Israeli missing persons and IDF casualties as part of a comprehensive agreement on a long-term ceasefire.

The Palestinian Arab newspaper Al-Quds reported that Israel’s recent series of relief measures for the Gaza Strip are directly linked to the pressure being exerted on Israel by the United States, Egypt and other countries to improve the economic situation in the Gaza Strip as a first step in advancing the exchange deal.
