The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA) recently released a study on the attitudes regarding antisemitism and anti-Israel activism on US college campuses. It concluded that that we “may need to confront the notion, common among liberal Jewish Americans, that right-wing sources are mostly responsible for antisemitism.”

Citing perceptions of Israeli Jewish campus professionals from early 2021 (before the Gaza war) and correlating them with the findings of a survey of Hillel directors in 2015, the JCPA study argued that the significant antisemitic and anti-Israel pressures on campus are driven by “the progressive left,” and that it is these attitudes which must be confronted.

This week the European Commission missed the two-month deadline to trigger a new rule-of-law mechanism that makes receiving billions in EU funds conditional on a country’s respect for the EU’s core values. Initially seen targeting the bloc’s two worst culprits, Hungary and Poland, potential punitive measures would include a suspension of payments and early repayment of loans. The measures can be later lifted if the disciplined country corrects the situation.

The headline of the New York Times‘ analysis of the relationship between Israel’s Mossad and the CIA has a plaintive tone of injured innocence, “Israel’s Spy Agency Snubbed the U.S. Can Trust Be Restored?”

The article does not provide the answer, but the history of the relationship that it paints is highly instructive.

Put the article’s paragraphs into a chronological, rather than the suspense-building, sensationalist order, and it becomes obvious that it was Obama who did the snubbing, not the other way around, by throwing Israel under the Iranian bus: “The Obama White House, concerned that Israel was leaking information, kept the existence of the negotiations with Iran [that eventually resulted in the “Iran deal” secret from Israel […] Israeli intelligence learned of the meetings from its own sources.”

At least 72 Afghans and 13 US servicemen have been killed in a suicide bombing carried out by ISIS at the Kabul airport, US officials confirmed Thursday night.

The terror group ISIS-K has claimed responsibility for the deadly double attack, the group’s Amaq News Agency said on its Telegram channel.

When new Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett meets with President Joe Biden and his minders at the White House today, a few things seem like sure bets. First, Bennett and his aides will lay out a scheme for keeping Iran from going nuclear, which the Americans will nod at and ignore. Second, the American side will solemnly raise the necessity of establishing a Palestinian state living side by side in peace with Israel.

Instead of nodding, smiling, and pretending to share the dream of peaceful democratic Palestinian statehood, Bennett could show true friendship to America by pointing to the example of Afghanistan. It’s clear no one in the American political establishment has yet internalized the lesson.

The statement that a terrorist state will not be established in the heart of the country is an important statement and so is the statement that this government will not resolve the ‘Israeli-Palestinian conflict,'” Dagan said.

You are embarking on a first diplomatic visit as Prime Minister to our greatest friend, the United States, where there is also a new administration.

As in Israel, the president took office after a period of internal turmoil. The storms also somewhat dampened the political successes of the two previous leaderships.

You can continue the political achievements and also with respect to the current administration fortify settlement, whose leadership you previously were a part of – as long as the US realizes that settlement is not an obstacle to peace, as long as you see settlement as an integral part of the solution, as long as they do not try in a time machine to go back years to a non-existent reality. Settlement can exist and develop; The responsibility for this rests on your shoulders.

T. Belman. “If you intend to shoot, shoot. Don’t talk.”  Obviously,  Gantz would rather talk than shoot. Its not like Israel. He has been making similar remarks for a month now. In an interview before meeting with President Biden, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said he opposed U.S. efforts to restore a nuclear deal with Iran and ruled out peace talks with the Palestinians.

JERUSALEM — Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, speaking days before his first meeting with President Biden as Israel’s new leader, said he would oppose American-led attempts to reinstate a lapsed nuclear agreement with Iran and continue Israel’s covert attacks on Iran’s nuclear program.

In an interview with The New York Times, his first with an international news organization since succeeding Benjamin Netanyahu in June, he also said he would expand West Bank settlements that Mr. Biden opposes, declined to back American plans to reopen a consulate for Palestinians in Jerusalem and ruled out reaching a peace agreement with the Palestinians under his watch.
