T. Belman.  I find this article very disturbing. There is too much give and take.  The more they allow us the more it will cost us.  There is too much of a desire by Israel to get along.  I’d rather see more backbone and independence. Nothing good will come of this.

NEW YORK — The Biden administration’s decision to delay its plan to reopen a Jerusalem consulate for the Palestinians, at Israel’s behest, has exposed a unique dynamic in the relationship between the world superpower and its Mideast ally.

Despite the apparent power imbalance, US President Joe Biden has agreed to shelve a policy goal and delay fulfilling a campaign promise for almost half a year in order to avoid destabilizing Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s politically diverse coalition as it seeks to coalesce.

• Religious practices on the Temple Mount have relied upon the long-standing status quo established by Defense Minister Moshe Dayan in 1967, as well as the “Kerry Understandings” with Israel, reached with the Israeli government and Jordan in 2015. The status quo forbids prayer by Jews on the Mount.
• On July 18, 2021, Tisha B’Av in the Hebrew calendar, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett made a statement on “freedom of worship” pertaining to Jews on the Temple Mount that was seen as changing the status quo. The Prime Minister’s Office then clarified on July 19 that Jews would only be permitted to visit the area. Thus, the question is now whether limited and informal prayers by Jews there will continue as in recent years.

“Frank Marshall Davis, 81, of Honolulu, died Sunday in Honolulu,” read the obituary in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. Davis, who passed away on July 26, 1987, “was a renowned black poet and former newspaperman.”

The Kansas State graduate, recipient of a Julius Rosenwald Fellowship in poetry, authored “Black Man’s Verse,” and two other widely anthologized volumes of poetry “reprinted in public schools and college textbooks for general use throughout the United States.” Frank Marshall Davis was managing editor of the Atlanta Daily World, executive editor of the Associated Negro Press, and “taught the history of jazz music at the Abraham Lincoln School” in Chicago. An impressive profile, but there was more to the man.

T. Belman. I have trouble with this analysis. Iran is not sitting pretty even though the US wants to cut a deal with them. Lebanon is in dire straits and Iran’s proxy, Hezbollah, may lose power. Saudi Arabia has already turned the tables on Iran’s other proxy, the Houthis, in Yemen. Domestically, they are having to suppress riots with lethal force. Finally they share a border with Afghanistan where the Sunni Taliban are taking over. The Taliban can cause trouble for Iran.

Official announcements from Washington herald the reduction of the US military presence in the Middle East. This reduction will include air defense in outposts in Saudi Arabia dealing with the Houthi problem in Yemen. This is not shocking news. The new RINO socialist Prime Minister of Israel, Naftali Bennett, warned that the unvaccinated are a DANGER to Israel and that effective August 8th the unvaccinated will not be allowed at any venue “above 100 people, both indoor and outdoor” – including theaters, sporting events, and houses of worship. To enter, people will have to show proof of vaccination, proof they had Covid-19 and recovered, or a negative test, obtained at their own expense. Yet, Israeli researchers just announced that the mRNA vaccines are only 39% effective and it’s the vaccinated people who are being hospitalized! The CDC just admitted that the PCR tests don’t work to diagnose Covid.

So this makes NO sense – unless it’s about control & not your health. It’s obvious that Israel is reverting back to its Communist roots after 12 years of work that Netanyahu did to make it a free, thriving Capitalist country. Scary. Watch – Fauci & the CDC are planning the same BS in America.

Focusing on its conventional and potential nuclear abilities misses a crucial factor in evaluating the level of danger. The Islamic Republic of Iran is a paranoid regime, believing that Shia Islam is under an existential threat and must be defended. Iran’s dominant fighting force is the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), under the control of the Supreme Leader. The IRGC is mandated by Iran’s constitution to pursue “an ideological mission of jihad in God’s way … extending the sovereignty of God’s law throughout the world.”

The people of the once great country are confused and disoriented. Once America’s feet of clay crumble, the colossus will never rise again. 

“A colossus with feet of clay” is how many, allegedly including Winston Churchill, used to describe the Soviet Union, one of the superpowers of the last century. That description attested to the country’s bombastic rhetoric coupled with its perceived military might juxtaposed against the inherent lethal flaws of the Soviet political and economic system.

The US State Department reach a new level of sanctimonious ridiculousness when, after the IDF destroyed the home of a Palestinian lone-wolf terrorist who killed one teenager and critically maimed another in a drive-by shooting, the US Embassy in Jerusalem issued an official communique lambasting the Israeli action.  “The home of an entire family shouldn’t be demolished for the action of one individual,” the Americans pontificated. But the arrogance was only beginning. “All parties [must] refrain from unilateral steps that exacerbate tensions and undercut efforts to advance a negotiated two-state solution,” the communique continued, “and this certainly includes the punitive demolition of Palestinian homes.”

Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked warned that she would leave the coalition government if it agreed to a request from the Biden administration to implement a building freeze in West Bank settlements.

In an interview published Friday in the Makor Rishon newspaper, Shaked was asked what her “red lines” are, which would lead her to leave and destabilize Israel’s new government.
