The Bennett government will have to make pivotal defense decisions

The security cabinet will now convene frequently and on its agenda are an immediate decision about Iran, strengthening the preparations for war in the north, preparation for the possibility of aggressive action in the Gaza Strip, and above all — defining the nature of the IDF’s relations with Israeli society.

This week, the Bennett government passed its first security challenge. The flag march proceeded peacefully without provoking unnecessary shockwaves, and events in Gaza were also under control while Israel adhered to its commitment of treating balloon arson the same way it does rocket fire.

However, this is not the threshold of challenges that the new government will have to face in the coming years. It will be confronted with many issues, each requiring the formulation of policy and the drawing up of courses of action. It is likely that the security cabinet ? which rarely convened in recent years ? will now meet frequently for a series of in-depth discussions. On the agenda: Iran, the United States, the northern and Palestinian fronts, the structure and budget of the army, and more.

Wisconsin Official Blows Whistle on Zuckerberg-Funded Group That ‘Seized Control’ of Election

BY MATT MARGOLIS, PJ MEDIA             JUN 23, 2021 3:40 PM ET

A now-retired elections clerk from Brown County, Wisconsin, says political activists working for a group funded by Mark Zuckerberg “seized control” of the November elections in key cities in the state, including Green Bay, according to a report from Just the News. Career experts found themselves sidelined as these activists made last-minute changes that may have violated state law.“They had no business doing that,” ex-Brown County clerk Sandy Juno told Just the News. It’s Outright War on Conservatives

By Janet Levy, AM THINKER

Last November, the now-defunct Trump Accountability Project, linked to former Democratic National Committee press secretary Hari Sevugan, bruited its plan to blacklist those who worked for the Trump administration.  Sevugan tweeted, “Employers considering them should know that there are consequences for hiring anyone who helped Trump attack American values.  Find out how at the Trump Accountability Project.” Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Dem-NY) too called for devising lists of Trump supporters for punishment and ostracism. The rhetoric reeked of a witch-hunt to name and shame anyone linked to the former president.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman rattles Muslim clergy, challenges sources of sharia

By Thomas Lifson, AJM THINKER

This is huge. Those of us who have had hopes that Saudi Arabia can transformed from a sponsor of hardline jihad into a modernizing force in the Islamic world have cause for hope.

Remarks made by the real ruler of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS), suggest that he carefully laying the grounds for a fundamental reinterpretation of orthodox Islam.

Israel’s new government: Return to the “Shtetl”?

The overthrow of Bibi is the first part of a multiphase project. The second phase begins now. Op-ed.

By Alexander Maistrovoy, INN    , Jun 23 , 2021 3:41 PM

Government session

In Israel’s Creeping Coup D’etat I claimed that the Israeli elite is driven by two fundamental goals:

– Ending the “occupation” at any cost

– Turning Israel from a Jewish state into a “state for all its citizens”.

Despite all his flaws Netanyahu was the only one who resisted these plans, and that is why he was so hated by the elite. This hatred grew into paranoia, fanatical frenzy, a kind of sectarian cult.

For coalition to last, US also needs to cooperate – analysis

T. Belman. How long can everyone moderate their goals. This can only be possible if they are satisfied focusing on their common agenda.  Is that enough to get them to forego their professed ideologies.

Washington needs to be smart and sensitive to what it demands from Israel, lest steps it takes leads to this government’s downfall.

, JPOST     JUNE 23, 2021 21:12<

The only way the current Bennett-Lapid government can last – a government that includes Meretz and Labor on the Left, Yamina and New Hope on the Right, and Ra’am (United Arab List) – is for the parties to put their ideologies in their pockets.

At least temporarily. At least for the duration of this government’s life.

That means, for instance, that Meretz is going to have to stop pushing an anti-settlement agenda, and Yamina must not push a pro-settlement one. In that context, Meretz MK Mossi Raz’s co-sponsorship of a conference in the Knesset on Tuesday discussing Israel as an “apartheid state” is the type of stunt that will shorten the life of this government.

U.S. Should Bypass Palestinian Authority to Provide Aid to Gaza

JINSA
Mike Pompeo, Former Secretary of State
Sander Gerber, JINSA Distinguished Fellow

There has been a recent push in the US to utilize the Palestinian Authority (PA) as a “go-between” to ensure that aid to Gaza reaches civilians and is not pocketed by Hamas, the terrorist group currently controlling the Palestinian territory. But what this push signifies – and what its long-term ambitions might be – deserves further examination.

The reliance on the PA to be the broker of stability in the Arab-Israeli conflict is ill-considered, because partnering with a group itself implicated in terrorist activities in order to stop terrorism represents a failure of logic. It is easy to forget that the US Congress, in the 1987 Anti-Terror Act, determined the Palestinian Liberation Organisation and its related entities to be sponsors of terrorism and a threat to US interests. The PA fits squarely within this law.

The Plague of the Un-Jews

It is the vile behavior of the un-Jews towards Israel that allows the non-Jewish anti-Semites to be open about their own deep seated pathology and bigotry.

 By Victor Sharpe, INN       2018

Many years ago, posing as a supporter of the PLO, I infiltrated an Arab anti-Israel meeting held in a room above a London pub. There were mostly Arabs present with a sprinkling of non-Arabs, mostly local Brits.

Among the Brits was a man who told the audience that he was a Jew and hated Israel. His self-loathing expressed itself in hostility towards the increasingly embattled Jewish state.

But in all the bile that fell from his lips, he revealed a total lack of knowledge about Judaism and Jewish history – certainly he exhibited no understanding of the rebirth of Israel in its ancestral and biblical homeland or of the immense odds of its survival in the face of enormous Arab and Muslim aggression.

by Clare M. Lopez, FPM

This is the fourth article in this series on Critical Race Theory (CRT). The earlier three may be seen herehere, and here. Their intent was to document the deteriorating situation across America, and especially in our schools, where curricula increasingly focus on Marxist propaganda that teaches children to hate their own country and seeks to instigate racial divisiveness intended to foment civil strife and eventually, a communist revolution. The series began with an explanation of the purely Marxist origins of CRT, its ideological roots in the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917, the transplant of the Frankfurt School to the U.S. in the 1930s, and the eventual spread of CRT narratives throughout American academia, faith communities, government, media, popular culture, and society in general.

Arab youths: More ethnically, less politically affiliated

A recent poll of Arab youths in Israel shows that between one-third and half of those questioned still perceive themselves through an ethnic-religious prism, which perhaps explains their sense of disconnect with their national-political representatives.

By  Jalal Bana, ISRAEL HAYOM

Last weekend, a survey was published within the framework of a conference on the important issues facing the younger generation of Arabs in Israel. The findings were very surprising.

The survey, conducted by the Haifa-based Baladna Association for Arab youth, which is affiliated with Balad political party, comprised 500 participants and 10 focus groups. The findings paint an interesting picture that needs to sound alarm bells for the entire Arab leadership in Israel and organizations that are active in the Arab sector, particularly with the young generation.

Israel Police Set Up Posts at Damascus Gate. They Became a Site to Beat Up Palestinians

T. Belman. I hope this is true. Haven’t seen it reported elsewhere. Bennett recently make a speech in which he said there will be zero tolerance for balloons or rockets emanating from Gaza. The use of batons and get tough policy for rioters, seems to be evidence that it applies across the board. Way to go, Naftali.

Numerous instances have been recorded of police officers dragging Palestinian protesters to the posts and beating them outside Jerusalem’s Old City

Salah al-Natshe, a 20-year-old resident of East Jerusalem, was on the steps of the Old City’s Damascus Gate on Saturday afternoon. Police orders are that every time concerns are raised about Palestinians gathering at the site, they are to start clearing people from the stairs and the plaza at the gate.

Over the past few weeks, policemen have started to use an old-new weapon: The baton. Police push back those standing in the area and deliver blows to the legs with their batons to those who they don’t think are moving fast enough. “Move back, move back,” shouted one of the police, as he hit Al-Natshe on his legs with the club again and again.

The genocidal jihad on African Christians: A byproduct of economics?

By Raymond Ibrahim, AM THINKER

All throughout sub-Saharan Africa — in Nigeria, Mozambique, the Central African Republic, Mali, the Democratic Republic of Congo — Muslims are terrorizing and slaughtering Christians, and have been for many years now.

Nor is there any hope on the horizon, for problems that cannot be correctly and objectively addressed are doomed to persist in perpetuity.  As far as the Western “mainstream” is concerned, all such persecution and terrorism is a byproduct of economic grievances — or, in the words of an April 16, 2021 report, titled “How poverty and corruption fuel terrorism across Africa”:

On March 24th, a group of jihadis struck the town of Palma in Mozambique, killing dozens and burning government buildings to the ground.  ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack — but doubts have been cast over who was behind the siege[.]

House Democrats Block Defense Assistance for Israel

By Spencer Brown, TOWNHALL  JUNE 17/21

House Democrats Block Defense Assistance for Israel

A Motion to Recommit (MTR) that would have affirmed the U.S. policy of providing defense articles including munitions, aircraft, and technology to Israel was voted down by 217 House Democrats Thursday afternoon.

The measure would have required President Biden and his administration to develop “contingency plans to provide Israel with necessary defense articles and services” and allowed Biden to “direct the immediate transfer to Israel of such defense articles or defense services… necessary to assist Israel in its defense” when Israel is under military threat.

PM reaches deal with Arab party to pass Family Reunification Law

T. Belman.  This a good deal for Bennett. Abbas, didn’t want the government to fail so early on as I previously suggested, making him easy pickings for a compromise.

Government appears poised to pass law barring PA residents from gaining Israeli citizenship via marriage – despite Likud opposition.

Arutz Sheva StaffJun 22 , 2021

????? ???

The Israeli government is poised to pass the annual extension of a law barring Palestinian Authority residents from seeking Israeli citizenship, despite opposition from the Likud and the Religious Zionist Party.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met Monday night with Ministers Ayelet Shaked and Ze’ev Elkin and with United Arab List (Ra’am) chairman MK Mansour Abbas in an attempt to reach a compromise that will allow the approval of the extension of the Family Reunification Law.

What is the true number of vaccine-related deaths?

By Antonio R. Chaves, AM THINKER

Based on official data from Open VAERS and the CDC, 5,993 Americans have died out of 146,171,792 Americans who are fully vaccinated as of June 11. This corresponds to a ratio of about four deaths out of 100,000 who are fully vaccinated.

When VAERS death rates are compared with COVID-19 vaccination rates from December to June, and odd pattern emerges: Vaccine-related deaths decline just as vaccination rates reach their peak in April (Graph 1). This implies that the VAERS death rate started at 18 per 100,000 on the 1st of February, then dropped to around 3.1 per 100,000 on the 1st of June (Table). If this remarkable trend really took place, why didn’t it make headlines?

Graph1: Comparing VAERS death rates by month with overall vaccination rates from December 2020 to June 2021. Vaccination rates were provided by the CDC’s COVID Data Tracker. Death rates were provided by VAERS.

China’s COVID Coup

China deserves credit for a remarkable feat of strategic improvisation in translating a public health crisis into a large economical and geopolitical advance at the expense of the West.

By

It is time for Americans to contemplate the possibility that the United States may be surpassed as the world’s most influential country. The Chinese have just won the greatest strategic victory in the last 30 years since the disintegration of the Soviet Union. However it originated, the novel coronavirus was repressed within China by recourse to draconian measures but was deliberately permitted to infect the rest of the world, enabling China to exploit the blunderbuss Western lockdowns and make a giant leap towards economic preeminence in the world.

Why we should wear masks

The April COVID surge in India is an interesting microcosm of what went wrong in this pandemic—and what went right.

As cases and deaths began to mount exponentially, a new wave of terrifying headlines and images also began to ripple across the West, accompanied by footage reminiscent of those first videos out of Wuhan and Iran in the early days of the pandemic.
