In 1984, former KGB officer Yuri Bezmenov, who defected to the West in the 1970s, alerted Americans to the methods the Soviet secret service was using to subvert our political system.  The aim of the agency, he said, was gradual “ideological subversion” or “psychological warfare.”

Using ample video footage of the late Bezmenov, Brainwashed America — the latest documentary from filmmaker, radio host, and author Brannon Howse — exposes how dangerously far this process of undermining American culture has advanced.  Howse‘s conclusions are based on thirty years of study of the history, utilization, and advancement of brainwashing in America.  He defines brainwashing as “a method that manipulates and modifies a person‘s emotions, attitudes, and beliefs” and indoctrination as a subtle, pedagogic process “to induce someone to give up basic political, social, and religious beliefs and attitudes, and to accept contrasting regimented ideas.”

Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) President Morton A. Klein released the following statement:

The ZOA congratulates my friend and ZOA’s friend, Yamina (Right) party leader Naftali Bennett, on becoming Prime Minister of the Jewish State of Israel, and our friends Gideon Sa’ar and Ayelet Shaked on their anticipated important roles in a new coalition government. Nevertheless, we do have serious concerns.

We ZOA-ers have a wonderful and special remembrance that at ZOA’s 2016 Gala Dinner, then-Minister of Education and Diaspora Affairs Naftali Bennett quoted a statement by Jewish leader Simon the Hasmonean from over 2,000 years ago: “We did not take a foreign land and did not rule the property of strangers; rather, the land of our fathers was taken unjustly, and now that we have the opportunity, we have returned it to ourselves.” Minister Bennett then added that “one cannot occupy his own home,” as 1,200 ZOA Gala attendees wildly cheered and applauded.

T. Belman. In his speech Netanyahu set a high bar in describing what must be done to resist the demands of Biden. Unfortunately, his conduct suggests he fell far short of it. Now it remains to be seen if Bennett  will find a way to hold onto his principles, without isolating the US or his coalition partners on an issue that will be a consistent tension point in Jerusalem and Washington.

Bennett throughout his political career has been clear that he believes that all of Area C, where all the Israeli settlements are located should be part of sovereign Israel.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett sounded like the right-wing leader that he is when he promised in his Knesset speech, to “ensure the national interest in Area C” of the West Bank.

It’s not an idle line. The phrase was also written into the coalition agreement between his Yamina Party and that of Yesh Atid.

Just 37% of Israelis oppose new government – but Netanyahu holds wide lead over Bennett as top pick for prime minister.

A plurality of Israelis support the new national unity government formed by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid Sunday night, a new poll shows, even as former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains the top pick for the premiership.

According to the poll, which was conducted by Prof. Camil Fuchs and published by Channel 13 after the establishment of the new government Sunday night, 48% of Israelis back the new government, compared to just 37% who oppose it. Among respondents who expressed an opinion on the matter, 56.5% supported the government, compared to 43.5% who oppose it.

In an interview with the Panet.co.il website and the Hala TV channel, Abbas said that “MK Saeed Alkharumi was absent from the vote on the approval of the government in coordination with us”, stressing that the party is united under his leadership.

When the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel was signed in 1979, the 14 km (8.7 mile) security and buffer zone known as the Philadelphi Corridor was under Israel’s control. Its purpose was to prevent the illegal importation into the Gaza Strip from Egypt of weapons and terrorists to be used against the Jewish state. The Oslo Accords, signed in 1995, allowed Israel to retain the security corridor, but it soon became apparent that Sinai Bedouin and the Palestinian Arabs were digging ever more sophisticated smuggling tunnels under it.

Beijing’s interest in the Arab Gulf states is growing, and Israel, in the interests of its national security, would do well to examine the evolving relations between its new friends in the Gulf and the Chinese superpower, which is also developing its ties with Iran

Relations between China and the Arab Gulf states are evolving in new directions, some problematic for Israel and the United States. Against this background, the Abraham Accords, which offer Israel new opportunities for partnerships, also expose it to risks. Alongside the expected rise in the importance of the Gulf states for China’s energy security and in view of China’s increased political involvement in the Middle East, Israel must examine its ties with the Gulf states from a multiple viewpoints and take steps to minimize the new risks. It must learn more about China’s relations with the Gulf states, and specifically about security cooperation between the parties. It should set up a database of Chinese investments in the region and examine its own technological collaboration with the Gulf states and expected investments in Israel by Gulf corporations, while considering the issue of Chinese involvement. Israel must also reinforce and expand its mechanisms for supervising investments, in order to ensure coordinated regulation with the United States against the common risks faced by both countries.

One week ago we reported that a man believed to be the highest-ranking Chinese defector ever was working with the Defense Intelligence Agency and that he had direct knowledge of special weapons programs in China, including bioweapons programs. We also reported that the defector provided an extensive, technically detailed debrief to US officials, that the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) was able to corroborate very technical details of the information provided, and that in DIA’s assessment, the information provided by the defector is legitimate. RedState has now learned some details of the information provided by the defector, including that he provided data proving that SARS-CoV-2 was manmade and leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, in addition to evidence confirming that the People’s Liberation Army managed the Wuhan program (and others), as Chinese virologist Yan Li-Meng told the FBI last year.

T. Belman. My source tells me that Netanyahu was a protector of the King and did not want a coup to remove him. But Kushner and Saudi Arabia wanted to diminish Jordan’s role in the Temple Mount so Saudi Arabia could replace Jordan there.

In the Washington Post, David Ignatius writes that alleged April coup attempt on the Jordanian king was connected to U.S., Saudi and Israeli efforts to undermine the monarch’s position on Jerusalem’s holy sites.

T. Belman.  No one believes they can achieve a two-state solution. Instead they use this fantasy as a basis to prevent Israel from deviating from its potential. ie, they want the status quo to be continued as bad as it may be.

IT SEEMS CLEAR that before any resolution of the Israel-Palestinian dispute is possible, the gulf that divides the Palestinian body politic must be bridged, at least in part.
