Biden’s Palestinian Mission is Doomed to Fail

by Con Coughlin, GATESTONE INSTITUTE  •  May 26, 2021

  • The big problem, though, with Mr Biden’s commitment for the US to work with the Palestinian Authority in Gaza is that the ability of Mr Abbas’s organisation to exercise any influence over Gaza is virtually negligible.
  • While Mr Abbas continues to indulge in the fiction that he is the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, the reality so far as Gaza is concerned is that it is the Islamist leaders of Hamas who exercise total control over Gaza.
  • The jubilant celebrations that took place among Palestinians when the ceasefire finally took hold were not held to express their relief that the fighting was over. The celebrations took place as a demonstration of support for Hamas’s role in launching a massive attack on Israel.

Prosecutor in Trump criminal probe convenes grand jury to hear evidence, weigh potential charges

T Belman. Notice that the AG is not willing to say he will press for an indictment.  Besides I think it is incumbent on the AG not to mention who is being investigated or anything about the Grand Jury until there is an indictment. This appears to be more of the same smearing that has been going on for 4 years.

NEW YORK — Manhattan’s district attorney has convened the grand jury that is expected to decide whether to indict former president Donald Trump, other executives at his company or the business itself, should prosecutors present the panel with criminal charges, according to two people familiar with the development.

The panel was convened recently and will sit three days a week for six months. It is likely to hear several matters — not just the Trump case — during its term, which is longer than a traditional New York state grand-jury assignment, these people said. Like others, they spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation. Generally, special grand juries such as this are convened to participate in long-term matters rather than to hear evidence of crimes charged routinely.

Episode 9: Trump’s war with his generals

T. Belman.  This is a fascinating account of  behind the scenes goings on between the military and the president on the question of withdrawal.  It may be the reason the military didn’t back the imposition of Martial Law to protect the true winner of the election.

Axios’ “Off the rails” series documents the end of the Trump administration, from election night 2020 through the Jan. 6 siege of the U.S. Capitol.

One important piece is only now beginning to emerge: Former President Donald Trump’s last-minute bid to pull U.S. forces from Afghanistan and swaths of the Middle East, Africa and even Europe ahead of Joe Biden’s inauguration — and why he blinked.

Why western mobs are now sticking it to the Jews

The public has yet to grasp how “psy-ops” against Israel has messed with their minds

By Melanie Phillips

Birth of Jewish Resistance; Lazar Krestin, 1905

Anyone who imagined that with the Gaza cease-fire the antisemitism that erupted around the west would correspondingly die down has been sorely mistaken.

It has not only continued to become ever more brazen and intimidatory but, astonishing this may seem, it has now morphed into something even more chilling. The toxic core of it, the Israel libel that fuels the onslaught, has become an axiomatic lie and a supposed marker of public conscience.

3 New Hope MKs say they won’t remain committed to ‘never Bibi’ bloc if Knesset is charged with electing PM

‘New Hope MKs will back Netanyahu as PM’ , Likud MK Shlomo Karhi claims.

Three opposition lawmakers from the New Hope party are considering joining a Likud-led government, a Likud MK claimed Tuesday morning, despite their party’s commitment not to sit in a government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

MK Shlomo Karhi (Likud) told Yediot Aharanot Tuesday morning that three New Hope MKs had announced to party chairman Gideon Sa’ar that they will not consider themselves obligated to the party line vis-à-vis refusing to back Netanyahu, should Opposition Leader Yair Lapid’s mandate to form a government expire, sending the mandate to the Knesset.

The State Department is elevating BLM to official U.S. policy overseas

By Andrea Widburg, AM THINKER

An anonymous State Department employee leaked a document in which the State Department, headed by the feckless Anthony Blinken, has instructed all diplomatic and consular posts to support Black Lives Matter beginning on May 25. Rather than being written in the usual dry, turgid language we expect from such communications, this one is different. Its language is pure Marxism and its hatred for America pours out of every word.

Jack Posobiec at Human Events reported that a State Department employee shared a copy of the order. It states in relevant part that May 25 (today) “marks one year since the brutal murder of George Floyd…” It lauds the Black Lives Matter protests that “demand an end to systemic racism and police brutality.” Accordingly, it’s time for guidance.

Support for Israel among young US evangelical Christians drops sharply — survey

T. Belman.. After two years of Pres Trump, 75% of the young evangelicals supported Israel. What could possibly have caused such a dramatic drop to 33% in three years.

During those 3 years, the percentage having a positive view of Muslims increased from 29% to 42% viewed Muslims . This is probably as a result of the Abrahamic Accords.

Since 2018, backing for Israel dropped from 75% to 33%; nearly half of evangelicals aged 18-29 say they favor establishment of Palestinian state, voted for Biden over Trump

NEW YORK — A new survey points to a growing divide in the US between young evangelical Christians and their elders, particularly in their views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, indicating Israel could see a significant drop in support in coming years.

While the religious group has long been a bulwark of support for Israel in the US, the Barna Group-administered poll commissioned by researchers at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke indicates a sharp drop in support for the Jewish state and raises concerns that Israel could lose a key ally going forward, its authors told The Times of Israel on Monday.

Blinken meets Netanyahu. No disagreements are disclosed.

T. Belman. Both Biden and Blinken say they “firmly supporting Israel’s right of self-defense.” Why does this not include our right to defeat Hamas and disarm them?

Biden wants to rebuild relationship with the Palestinians’.  Why?

By David Rosenberg, INN , May 25 , 2021 12:36 PM

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem Tuesday morning, as Blinken began his three-day visit to the Middle East.

In a joint press statement with Blinken, Netanyahu thanked President Joe Biden and Blinken for “firmly supporting Israel’s right of self-defense.”

With 700,000 ‘Excess Deaths,’ What’s Next for America?

We may hope that COVID has run its course, and we may mourn our 700,000 dead. On the other hand, strange and terrifying times may have just begun.

By

There has been a lot of speculation, much of it backed up by evidence, that over the past year, America’s “cause of death” statistics have been skewed. For reasons alleged to be both political and financial, people who did not have a fatal case of COVID were reported as dying from the disease. The classic example is the young man who died in a horrific motorcycle accident, who tested positive for COVID in the postmortem, and was listed as a COVID victim.

Less likely, however, is the possibility that “deaths from all causes” have been misrepresented. Assuming we can rely on the CDC statistics, the data tell a grim story. During the 12 month period between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021, the number of people dying in the United States exceeded the recent historical average for that same April through March period by 701,680. If anything, this number is understated, because CDC data can take up to eight weeks to fill in completely and our dataset is only updated through May 12.

How China views the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

By Dale Aluf, SIGNAL

The current fighting reveals just how difficult it will be for Beijing to maintain friendships with both sides.

Recent weeks have seen Israelis and Palestinians engage in a conflict of the largest scale since 2014. More than 3,000 rockets have been fired into Israel from Gaza this past week, and for a brief period, several more rained down from Lebanon and Syria.

Israel has responded with force, including airstrikes on high-ranking Hamas officers, tunnels used to smuggle heavy artillery into the strip and weapons stockpiles hidden within the civilian infrastructure.

Kish mir in touchus : Thanks Valerie

From Valerie Sobel

Dear President of Jewish Vancouver Island et al,

I’m responding to the letter you sent to the community dated May 18th, 2021.

I do not know with what credentials you advise the community or even how you ended up in a leadership position, but the letter you addressed to community Jewry could have easily been written by a Hamas sympathizer. The words, “We mourn for all who suffer, be they few Israelis or the multitude of Palestinians” underscores where you stand on this barrage of terrorism.

BIDEN IS CRIMINALIZING POLITICAL OPPOSITION

tomdeweese52121HQmp4167362_audio

GO HERE TO LISTEN TO THE HARD HITTING INTERVIEW

It has been barely noticed, but on April 15th Joe Biden signed a very questionable and possibly unconstitutional executive order, titled “Executive Order on Blocking Property with Respect to Specified Harmful Foreign Activities of the government of the Russian Federation.” The official position for the EO is to be emergency sanctions against Russia and its “harmful foreign activities.” In particular, those specified harmful foreign activities by Russian include intervention in our election process.

Israel’s hasbara can’t combat Jew-hatred

T. Belman. I have come to a similar conclusion on my own. Martin Sherman is known for his view that what is needed is a billion dollar hasbara effort. I told him that I disagree. Advocates of Israel are vastly outnumbered. Reciting the facts, either of the terror we face or the rights we have is no match for the emotional appeal of the underdog and the asymmetry of the death counts.

Many Israelis have resigned themselves to the status quo, thinking that it can be maintained..  I disagree.  It is a slippery slope. Israel keeps making gestures and rulings to appease the mob.  In doing so we undermine out rights. We are constantly under attack to make concessions.

I believe we must end the “occupation”. By that I mean we should claim sovereignty over J & S, not just in name, but in deed. We would free ourselves to populate these lands. A billion dollars spent doing so would be much more effective than spending it on hasbara. It would undermine the Palestinian cause and shift emphasis to their civic rights from their national rights.  There must be only one narrative. Ours. Offense not defense.

Then we must promote compensated emigration among the Arabs.  The Jordan Option I have been promoting is made to order.

No amount of PR, regardless of its quality, can counter anti-Zionism and its root, antisemitism.

‘Long live the Intifada’: Palestinians and pro-Palestinian supporters protest against Israeli attacks on Gaza amid days of conflict between the two sides, in Brooklyn, New York, US, May 15, 2021.

As has been the case during every war forced on the Jewish state by enemies bent on its destruction, Israel’s ostensibly poor public-diplomacy performance is currently a topic of heated debate. No TV panel is complete without a discussion on the discrepancy between the country’s prowess plus “purity of arms” on the battlefield and its hasbara flop.

TIERNEY NEWS

TIERNEY NEWS

President Trump gave a couple of interviews this week. He said all people want to talk about is election fraud:

“That’s all people ask me. They say ‘what’s going on in Arizona?’ They want to talk about the election fraud. They want to find out what’s going on. The weak Republicans don’t want to talk about it…the weak or stupid or RINOs…call them whatever you want. And yet the Republican voter that’s what they want to hear. The Republican voter wants the story. The weak Republican politician doesn’t want to talk about this story because they think it’s bad politically. I think it’s great politically, I think it’s great politically. If Mitch McConnell fought in the Senate for election integrity, you would have lots of vetoes coming out right now out of the White House because you’d have a different President. But other than fundraising, McConnell’s very weak.”

Sovereign or Satellite?

By Victor Rosenthal

“Israel has the right to defend herself,” said Joe Biden to cheers from the Jewish state. But not too strongly or for too long, apparently. When the pressure from the left wing of his party began to get uncomfortable, he issued an ultimatum. And when America says “jump,” Israel jumps.

One of the greatest mistakes Israel has made in the 73 years since its declaration of independence was to sign on as a satellite of the United States, in return for military aid. The aid has been corrosive: it gives the US too much leverage over our policies, distorts our military procurement decisions, corrupts our decision-makers, cripples our own defense industries, and damages our sovereignty. We don’t need it and we would be better off without it.

‘Social Justice’ Rabbinic Students Betray The Jewish People In Time Of War

By Rabbi Aryeh Spero, AM THINKER

While the young men and women of Israel are putting their lives on the line defending their homes and family, here in America we have a comfortable and self-indulgent group of rabbinical students verbally attacking Israel and giving moral support to the Hamas and Palestinian Arabs trying to destroy Israeli families. Most are from the Boston Hebrew College, the Reconstructionist Jewish Seminary, and Hebrew Union College, and they are trying to influence world opinion against Israel, which enhances the ability of the terrorists to murder more Jews.
