The decline and fall of the Associated Press

The AP’s building in Gaza collapses after an Israeli air strike. Is the organization’s credibility crumbling too?

Journalists stand next to the rubble of al-Jalaa Tower

Once, long ago, in a land far away, the best journalists tried to stand aloof from the stories they reported. The idea was simple and powerful. If journalists tried to be neutral and kept their reporting separate from their opinions, analysis, and speculation, then the public would believe them.

Those days are long gone — and the media’s credibility is gone with them. Journalists and media organizations are now smack in the middle of many stories they cover, in part because they want to be. They want to spin them, to set ‘the Narrative’.

Michigan Judge Dismisses Antrim County Election Case

BY ZACHARY STIEBER, EPOCH TIMES      May 18, 2021

Michigan judge on Tuesday threw out a case challenging the 2020 election in Antrim County.

13th Circuit Court Judge Kevin Elsenheimer, a Republican nominee, ruled that plaintiff William Bailey, a resident of Antrim County, had received the relief he sought after he filed the lawsuit last year following the election.

Bailey was seeking an independent audit of Antrim County’s election but Elsenheimer decided that the February risk-limiting audit conducted by county clerks, who reviewed a random sample of some 18,000 ballots, was sufficient under state law.

The courts can still invalidate US election results

There are people out there fighting for recounts and willing to act if the results show a less than 270 electoral vote count for Biden.

US Supreme Court

US Supreme Court

State Legislatures are conducting forensic audits of the 2020 Presidential election, and the result of systemic ballot-stuffing may be invoked to prompt the Supreme Court to supplant or to invalidate Electoral College delegations in at least three states.

This can be accomplished by filing a nunc pro tunc Writ of Certiorari, claiming that proof unavailable “then” [tunc] has subsequently emerged “now” [nunc].

As Iran’s Mullahs Incite Hamas Terrorism, Biden Administration Wants Sanctions Lifted

by Majid Rafizadeh, GATESTONE INSTITUTE  •  May 18, 2021

  • The Biden administration is apparently offering even more concessions and sanctions relief to Iran’s leaders, concessions that “go beyond the nuclear-specific sanctions.”….Meanwhile, these leaders from Iran are openly encouraging Hamas to launch more rockets….
  • In addition, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei…has been inciting terrorism on social media…. [and] labeled the whole nation of Israel a terrorist camp…. Read more…

Why Are Media Ignoring Data Showing Massive COVID-19 Vaccine Death Spike?

By John Cleer, AM THINKER

If these were any other vaccines, they would already be off the market.

In fact, they would have been pulled a long time ago.  Usually, a new drug is withdrawn after 50 deaths, which isn’t typical because the FDA has a strict approval process.  The COVID-19 vaccines have been exempted from it, instead being temporarily “authorized” for emergency use.

Israel vs. Hamas – Biden should let Netanyahu fight this war his way. Here’s why

More than 3,000 rockets and mortars have been fired, and Israeli are surprised at their range

US should be allowing Israel to ‘punish’ Hamas: Elliott Abrams

The former deputy national security adviser joins ‘America’s Newsroom’ to discuss the major foreign policy test facing the Biden administration.

For many Americans, the violent clash between Israel and Hamas sparks an understandable sense of having seen it all before. While it’s true there is a long, bloody history between the combatants, the current fighting is unique in ways that make the endgame especially crucial for the Jewish state and the entire region.

Current Arab death toll is only 10% of the 2014 Gaza War death tolls.

T. Belman. Let’s have some perspective here. This war has been going on for 7 days.  The 2014 war lasted 51 days. Eight months after that war 100,000 Arabs were homeless. 380,000 people were killed in Syrian War compared to the current death toll of about 200 Arabs in Gaza. which is 1/10th of the number killed in 2014.  In the 2014 war 4560 rockets were fired and they had a much smaller explosives payload and shorter range. The number of of rockets fired so far in this war exceeds 3150.

Key figures on the 2014 hostilities if you can believe the U.N.

Antisemitism is the real cause of the long Arab war

After 75 years of making excuses and denying the plain fact that antisemitism is the root and the branch of the Arab conflict with Israel, Israelis of all walks of life and across the political spectrum need to accept that it is true.

By Caroline Glick

(JNS) The time has come for Israel to stop giving a pass to Arab Jew-hatred.

In his book From Ambivalence to Betrayal: The Left, the Jews, and Israel, the late historian Robert Wistrich documented how before, during and after the Nazi period, scholars from the political left disregarded and denied the ideological power that anti-Semitism held over the Germans and their collaborators. The cause of their blindness was Marxism.

Marxism has long been the theoretical prism through which the left sees the world. Marxism is hateful and contemptuous of Judaism, because Judaism is fundamentally opposed to the obedient universality that Communism demands. Karl Marx and his followers sought to eradicate Judaism through a world Communist revolution that Jews could only join if they first abandoned their national, cultural and religious identities.

Gaza and the War Between the Democrats

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The war between Israel and Hamas has brought a crisis between progressive Democrats and the party headed by President Biden fully into the open. As progressives have racialized the conflict into “white” Israelis oppressing “brown and black” Palestinians, a look at the trajectory of the British Labour Party is instructive. Buoyed by Muslim immigration, Britain and now the US are beset by antisemitic electoral politics and threats of violence. And just as this phenomenon has helped sideline the British Labour, it may in the near future undermine the Democrats.

Nikki Haley Reveals the One Trump-Era Policy Biden Can’t Erase

T. Belman.  Too bad she shot herself in the foot when she criticized Trump. Her comments here are right on. The Arabs are fed only anti-Israel stuff.  That combined with the fact that The Hadiths contain many admonishments to kill Jews.  Their leaders have to overcome such beliefs and function in their best interests as in the Abrahamic Accords.

Many Arab people support groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS, Hamas, PLO and Houthis but the rulers want to disown them because they represent a bigger threat to their regimes than they do to Israel.

By Cameron Arcand, WESTERN JOURNALISM      May 17, 2021

Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley does not suffer fools when it comes to foreign policy, and her recent criticism of President Joe Biden highlights one of the prior administration’s accomplishments that he cannot simply undo.

Biden “just reversed everything,” Haley said this week in an interview on the “Glenn Beck Podcast.”

“But the part that he can’t erase, and it’s really a point of pride, I think, is the Abraham Accords, because this was an amazing thing. Many presidents before Trump had said that the only way to get peace in the Middle East was through the Palestinians,” she added to host Glenn Beck.

Why Israel is the Victim

The lies behind the terror.

Frontpagemag.com

Editors’ note: Below is the text of David Horowitz’s pamphlet, Why Israel is a Victim. It was published in 2002; its preface on Gaza was published in 2013. Since then President Trump brokered the Abrahamic Accords which established peaceful relations between four Arab states and Israel. The Accords were based on the withdrawal of U.S. support for the Palestinian terrorists who rule the West Bank and Gaza. Among its first acts, the Biden administration undid those accords, resuming funding for the genocidal terrorists of Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, which has led directly to the current war.

NY TIMES
