The current “senseless” cycle of violence in the Middle East must end now, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said in remarks to a Security Council meeting held on Sunday morning in response to the crisis.Describing the hostilities as “utterly appalling”, the Secretary-General warned that hopes of coexistence and peace between Palestinians and Israelis are being pushed even farther to the horizon.

For 3rd time, US blocking joint Security Council statement urging ceasefire

T. Belman.  Frankly, I am surprised that the US is resisting the resolution so much.  Noon has come and gone. I wonder if Israel cut a deal with the US i.e., give us 2 or 3 days more to pound the shit out of them and we will agree to a ceasefire.  I hope not.  This is probably a Chap 6 resolution.

The Globalists are desperate to protect and preserve Hamas, particularly since Netanyahu has talked about destroying them. The last thing they want is for Israel to achieve peace.  They want the 100 year conflict to go on forever or at least until Israel is destroyed.

NEW YORK — For the third time in a week, the US is blocking a joint statement from the UN Security Council calling for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, two diplomats involved in the matter said Sunday.

The statement was introduced by Norway, Tunisia and China following an emergency session earlier in the day on the fighting in Gaza and criticized both sides for the ongoing violence.

How to Ensure a Middle East War in Five Easy Steps

The new American Middle East policy is an extension of the new American domestic policy.

By

More than 2,500 rockets have landed in Israel over the past week. Some Arab Israeli citizens are terrorizing Jewish Israelis. Apparently, as the rockets fall, these citizens are to be Arab Islamic nationalists first, and Israelis last—even if they wisely prefer to live on the Israeli rather than the Palestinian side of Israel’s hated wall.

The usual Hamas sympathizers are promising death to the Jews on social media (so much for the idea that Twitter and Facebook are “shocked, shocked” by impolite expressions of the Trumpian sort).

Coexistence is impossible

by Victor Rosenthal        May 17, 2021

In my last post, I wrote that coexistence between Jews and Arabs in the Land of Israel was impossible. Since then, I’ve been told that I’m wrong – it’s necessary. The alternative to coexistence is said to be civil war, a war that will destroy our country. There’s no doubt that such a war would be terrible indeed. But if I’m right, then my critics are looking at it from the wrong direction. Rather than trying and failing to live together with the Arabs, we need to find a way to live apart from the Arabs without precipitating a disastrous war.

Why do I think coexistence is impossible? Because – as has been demonstrated conclusively in the last few weeks – the combination of the nature of Arab culture, combined with the all-pervasive Palestinian narrative, the well-organized and financed anti-Zionist forces, and the effective use of media, especially social media, make it so.

Reality demands that Gaza be demilitarized

T. Belman. Israel has no choice but to destroy Hamas in this go around. It bothers the hell out of me that Hamas was able to acquire a stockpile of 20,000 rockets while Israel was supposedly keeping Gaza under blockade and Egypt had destroyed the smuggling tunnels. Last go around we were surprised by the tunnels they had built. This time it was the stockpile.
We should count ourselves lucky that Hezbollah didn’t let loose with their arsenal of 150,000 rockets. We won’t be so lucky next time. I read that Iran restrained them as its primary goal this time is to get sanctions lifted.
Hamas must be made to choose either power or rockets. It cannot have both. Meanwhile, by allowing its civilians to be the target of rocket fire, the government has violated its basic obligation to defend them.

By Zvi Hauser, ISRAEL HAYOM

The results of Operation Guardian of the Walls will be examined according to one basic question: did Israel fight “yesterday’s war” and stay trapped in the concept of periodic rounds of fighting, or did Israel use Hamas’ surprise to create a new reality for the Israel-Gaza relationship?

The strategy of containing rocket attacks on civilians from the Gaza Strip is a fundamental violation of the agreement the state undertakes to defend its citizens. There is no other place in the world where civilians live under the threat of rockets as a matter of routine, with the end of each round promising another one to come.

Trumpets and Tank Engines: A Turning Point in Gaza?

by Richard Kemp, GATESTONE INSTITUTE  •  May 16, 2021 at 5:00 am

    • Hamas is no match for the IDF and could be quickly and much more cheaply defeated by blunt and crushing military force were it not for one thing — the Israeli need to minimise loss of civilian life. Hamas know that.
    • Over many years of conflict in Gaza, the majority of the world’s media have enthusiastically reported the deaths of Palestinian civilians as though they were the deliberate object of Israel’s callous and uncaring way of war. This blatantly false propaganda has been taken up by Hamas supporters and “useful idiots” in the West…. Human rights groups around the world have been doing the same.

On Eastern Jerusalem, Sheikh Jarrah and Israel

East and West are not simple geographic terms as they are in the United States.

By Moshe Phillips, jns

CNN ran a news story on May 9 with the headline “Israeli Supreme Court delays hearing on Palestinian evictions from East Jerusalem neighborhood.” This followed an official press statement issued on May 7 by the U.S. State Department that reported “concern” about “evictions in East Jerusalem, settlement activity, home demolitions and acts of terrorism … .”

The catch? The area in the news is not in “East Jerusalem” at all. What’s more, there is not now, nor has there ever been in history a political entity known as “East Jerusalem.”

Understanding the present situation in America.

This video is 2.5 hours long. but it is fascinating none the less. Juan O Savin explains with great clarity what Simon Parkes et al have been saying.
In the first hour, he explains who is running the USA. Essentially, the Biden Administration is recognized By the Courts and Congress. But not by the military. The military recognizes Pres Trump as the duly elected Commander in Chief and not Biden. As such it takes orders from Pres Trump and provides him with the usual security detail for a president and deploys Air Force One at his disposal. Pres Trump controls the nuclear football, not Biden.
In the second hour, he explains what’s happening with the Central Banks and money and the Great Reset and much, much more.

Hamas Must Be Comprehensively Routed

By Dr. Doron Matza, BESA May 15, 2021

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Israel must replace its containment policy vis-à-vis Hamas with a decisive strategy aimed at routing the Islamist terror group.

Ever since Hamas’s violent takeover of the Gaza Strip in 2007, Israel has sought to make the best of a bad situation. Military re-conquest was out of the question given the IDF’s withdrawal from the Strip two years earlier and Israel’s reluctance to reassume control of Gaza’s million-and-a-half residents. In these circumstances, allowing Hamas to run the daily lives of the local population while constraining its military buildup as much as possible was seen as the least of all evils. Not least since Hamas’s control of the Strip created a rival political entity to the PLO-dominated Palestinian Authority (PA) in the West Bank, thus reducing the Palestinian capacity to strategically damage Israel.

Et tu, Ahmad—The illusion of Arab loyalty

The situation that has arisen can no longer be seen as one centering on the question of individual rights but of collective survival—and it must be treated as such.Op-ed.

Lod: Jew wounded by Arab gunfire

… A person who, with intent to assist an enemy in war against Israel, commits an act calculated to assist [that enemy] is liable to the death penalty or to imprisonment for life—Clause 99(a), Israel’s Penal Code, on Treason.

I admit. I was totally mistaken.

Although I have long been skeptical as to the much-vaunted “loyalty” of Israel’s Arab citizens to the Jewish state, believing that, by and large, they harbored a latent yet smoldering disloyalty, that one day would erupt, I recently have been on the cusp of changing my mind.

Analysis | Looking for Gaza Victory,

The formula of ‘quiet for cash,’ on which Israeli military and intelligence officials based their situational assessments, is missing a vital component

By Zvi Bar’el, HAARETZ

The many senior Hamas leaders the IDF has killed demonstrates that Hamas isn’t some “ephemeral organization,” as many analysts have claimed. Some of these men held impressive positions — the Gaza City brigade commander, the head of Hamas’ cyber unit and missile development, the head of the projects and development department, the head of the engineering department, the commander of military intelligence’s technical department and the head of industrial equipment production. This is a budgeted, hierarchical and organized army, whose members have the relevant professional education and know-how to manage infrastructure for both survival and offensives.

The Realignment

In the Middle East, Biden is finishing what Obama started. And his top advisers are all on board.

By Michael Doran and Tony Badran, TABLET

On Sunday, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan phoned his Israeli counterpart and turned back the hands of time. According to the American readout of the conversation, Sullivan called “to express the United States’ serious concerns” about two things: the pending eviction, by court order, of a number of Palestinian families from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem, and the weekend’s violent clashes on the Temple Mount between Israeli police and Palestinian rioters. The Biden administration, in other words, publicly asserted an American national interest in preventing the Sheikh Jarrah evictions, regardless of the dictates of Israeli law—just as Hamas was sending rockets and incendiary devices into Israel with the same message. This conscious effort to put “daylight” between the United States and Israel marked a clear return to the approach of President Barack Obama.

DEAR JEWISH-AMER BIDEN VOTERS (and other Democrats) – UTTERLY FANTASTIC

By Valerie Sobel, INN

We, the grassroots, extremist, rightwing, Trump-loving Jews, would like to extend our warmest gratitude to you in electing one Joe Biden. Especially at this time. You were so right all along, our Nazi President Trump––not your President, of course––kept much too much peace in the world. You were so right to seek Twitter peace above all other; peace in Israel is for the birds.

Today, after 1,000 rockets bombarded the tiny Jewish State, we are comforted by the thought that you no longer feel distraught by Trump’s daily tweets and unsavory TV appearances. Likewise, we are comforted in knowing that your brand of Tikkun Olam works so well for you, Israel be damned.

The pathology of evil

Once again, the media’s gleeful alacrity to demonise Israel is frightening

By Melanie Phillips

Jews being persecuted; Rochester Chronicle, 13th century

As the funeral was being held in the Israeli town of Kiryat Gat today for five year old Ido Avigal, whose mother and sister were wounded in the rocket strike from Gaza, Palestinian war criminals fired projectiles at the town forcing the mourners to take cover. According to the Kan public broadcaster, the timing of the rocket fire was clearly aimed at disrupting the funeral since Kiryat Gat has not been a regular target during the current fighting.

Ramez al-Halabi, disclosed his group’s close ties to Iran in a May 7th interview on Iraqi television just before the rockets started launching from Gaza.
