450 bombs in 35 minutes: This is how the IDF tricked Hamas

IDF publishes unclear notice – causing Hamas to panic, escape into terror tunnels.

ARUTZ SHEVA

Just after midnight on Friday morning, Israel announced that “air and ground forces from the IDF are now attacking in Gaza. More details to follow.”

The military columnists in Israel understood that this meant the armored corps and artillery deployed near Gaza will attack, but the unclear notice led foreign reporters to report the beginning of a ground operation in Gaza.

Rocks to attack Israeli civilians and police, stored inside al Aqsa mosque

US President Joe Biden has dispatched the American official Hady Amr to the Middle East to “de-escalate the fighting” between Israel and Hamas.

In the past, Amr, now the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for “Israel-Palestine,” said he was “inspired by the Palestinian intifada” and accused Israel of ethnic cleansing and apartheid.

IDF: Overnight bombardment targeted Hamas’s tunnel network under Gaza City

Military says 160 aircraft dropped 450 missiles on 150 targets in operation, as ground troops in Israel struck terror operatives who try to attack them

Today, 10:04 am

Some 160 aircraft flying simultaneously conducted a massive attack on a network of tunnels dug by the Hamas terror group under the northern Gaza Strip around midnight Thursday in the largest Israeli strike since the outbreak of fighting earlier this week, the military said Friday.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, in this air campaign, which lasted nearly 40 minutes, some 450 missiles were dropped on 150 targets in northern Gaza, particularly around the city of Beit Lahiya. The military said it was still working to determine the extent of the damage caused to the underground infrastructure, which IDF Spokesperson Hidai Zilberman told reporters was a “strategic asset” to Hamas, and the number of terrorist operatives killed in the strikes.

How To Assure Repetition of Hamas Rocket Attacks

by Alan M. Dershowitz, GATESTONE INSTITUTE  •  May 14, 2021

  • There is one sure-fire way of guaranteeing that Hamas will continue to employ terrorism against Israel…. That sure-fire way is to reward the terrorists who employ this tactic and to punish their intended victims who try to fight back.
  • The real root cause of terrorism is that it is successful — terrorists have consistently benefited from their terrorist acts. Terrorism will persist as long as… the international community rewards it, as it has been doing for the past [many] years.

Into the fray: Why Gaza must go

The only durable solution requires dismantling Gaza, humanitarian relocation of the non-belligerent Arab population, and extension of Israeli sovereignty over the region.

We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind…. You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny… That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: victory; victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.  – Winston Churchill, May 13, 1940

We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.
– Albert Einstein

At the time of writing this column, ground operations in Gaza were still going on and reports of increasing casualties were coming in with depressing frequency. This should, therefore, be a time for national cohesion and solidarity, with unity and support for the war effort, and criticism of the government suspended.

Will Israel defy a UNSC call for a ceasefire

Clearly, a nation that balks at being controlled by the UN will be deemed to be a threat to the UN’s definition of peace. And the UN has authority under this section of its Charter to wage war to accomplish its idea of peace.

By Ted Belman

At the insistence by the Biden administration the UNSC will discuss the violence in Israel early next week. Will America put it off again or will it allow the Security Council to attempt to impose a cease fire.

If the latter will Israel comply?

Kohelet: A Time For Everything, Now, ITS A TIME FOR WAR

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
  • a time to be born, and a time to die;
  • a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
  •  a time to kill, and a time to heal;
  • a time to break down, and a time to build up;
  •  a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
  • a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
  •  a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
  • a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
  •  a time to seek, and a time to lose;
  • a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
  •  a time to tear, and a time to sew;
  • a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
  •  a time to love, and a time to hate;
  • a time for war, and a time for peace.

Tierney’s Real News (5/13/21)

Four news sources are reporting that Palm Beach officials, tied to Biden’s brother, are plotting ways to ARREST President Trump at Mar-a-Lago if Cyrus Vance, the Manhattan DA, indicts him for whatever reason. Ron DeSantis has the power to block extradition from Florida to New York. Democratic DAs and AGs all over the country are working overtime to find statutes to arrest President Trump for. That happens? There will be civil war.

Surprising Trends Driving Conversion to Judaism

It’s not just for marriage anymore

BY Mark Oppenheimer, TABLET

An increasing number of people are converting to Judaism, and for reasons other than marriage, according to a Tablet survey of American rabbis.

Since most surveys of American Jews overlook converts—the latest Pew Research Center survey is no exception—in March and April we posed questions about the state of Jewish conversion to over 100 rabbis, from all denominations of Judaism, and received answers from 79. Thirty-four of them, or 43%, indicated they were doing more conversions today than earlier in their careers. And these numbers are conservative. For example, some rabbis said they had seen huge bumps they were certain were related to COVID-19; in those cases, we grouped them among the 34 who said conversion had remained steady.

ISRAEL’S JIHAD CRISIS IS THE WORLD’S JIHAD CRISIS

By

Israel is a not a war zone because of geopolitics, but because it shares a common crisis with Europe, America, Russia, China and numerous other countries, most of whom are trying to buy time for their own internal Islamic insurgencies by siding with the Jihadist insurgency inside Israel.

A sizable hostile minority within your borders is always an explosive element, but Islamic migration is unique in that it emerged and still emerges from a tribal and religious manifest destiny of world conquest.

How Israel can reclaim the agenda and defeat Hamas

T. Belman. This is a fantastic article. Wurmser explains Israel’s folly to date’.  Israel has conned itself into believe that she was too big and too strong to be defeated. That concession and appeasement was the path to follow.

Wurmser argues that Israel should choose victory not calm. She should destroy Hamas and reassert herself on the Temple Mount.

Gaza is not where Hamas can be defeated, because Hamas is no longer about Gaza, but about Jerusalem, and about the heartland of the Holy Land. Op-ed.

(JNS) Every intelligence officer in the United States at one point in his formal training learns about the great Israeli intelligence failure in the 1973 war. The lesson is clear, and is the same one identified by Roberta Wohlstetter regarding the great failure in Pearl Harbor in 1941: a set of ideas, or “conception,” can so thoroughly dominate elites and the professional strategic and intelligence communities that it overpowers growing evidence and information suggesting an approaching tectonic shift.
