Pro-Iran China seeks ‘long-term’ development of relations with Israel, ‘two-state solution

Peloni:  China’s position in the Middle East is one of a contrarian to US objectives, and Israel has unfortunately been folded into this mix, making Chinese support of anti-Western interests of Iran and its proxies a pivotal element in the Chinese regional perspective.  Notably, this perspective has only slightly been adjusted since Israel successfully wrought ruin on much of Hezbollah’s prestige and capabilities last year.  Israel should capitalize upon the partnership which exists between China and Iran in its attempts to gain US support to regime change Iran into a more friendly and less nuclear form of govt, while also predicating any future projects with the Chinese on their full and complete repudiation of creating a second state for the Palestinian Arabs.  Jordan is the Palestinian Arab state, and if the Chinese can not accept this reality, Israel should continue to pursue its own interests, which completely lie with the US proposal of the Pals emigrating to Jordan or Egypt.

Communist China has no hesitation about collaborating even with countries it deems to be enemies if it suits what the Communist leadership perceives to be its interests. Israel is a world leader in technology, medicine, and science — an ideal economic partner. Partnering with Israel for economic reasons does not imply friendship or trust. The Wahhabi state of Saudi Arabia is likewise open to an alliance with Israel on an economic level and as part of a mutual defense front against Iran, but the Saudis blamed Israel for October 7, and have been crystal clear about the fact that they have no interest in normalizing relations with Israel unless the Jewish state meets impossible conditions.

Those conditions will not only undermine Jewish identity and rights, but will also set Israel up for annihilation; they include Israel returning to its pre-1967 borders (the notorious “Auschwitz borders”) and surrendering East Jerusalem so that it can become the capital of the new Palestinian state. In the same manner, China has been expressing its unwavering support for Palestinians in the Gaza war since October 7, as it continuously condemned Israel. It is also a close ally of Iran, and “a vocal advocate for the normalization of Hamas.”

China is completely untrustworthy. All it cares about is expanding its own power and interests. There is no “resolution” to the “Palestinian issue” until Palestinians recognize Israel as a sovereign state and accept the fact that it’s here to stay. And China knows this as it wheels and deals.

“China, Failing to Benefit from Hamas Support, Angles for Closer Israel Ties,” by Frances Martel, Breitbart, February 17, 2025:

The Communist leadership of China pressured the government of Israel to consider a “two-state solution” to the ongoing war against jihadist terrorists in Gaza and claiming Beijing was “committed” to a “constructive role” in the Middle East during talks this weekend with Israeli leaders.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa’ar on Sunday on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, in which Wang delivered a speech championing “multilateralism” and the diluting of American influence around the world. Wang’s remarks appeared to be a barbed response to American Vice President JD Vance’s spirited defense of freedom of expression and core Western values during his address to the event on Friday.

China is a close ally to the terrorist Islamist regime of Iran, which poses an existential threat to Israel, and through this role has attempted to elevate its position as an ally to the anti-Israel cause since the Iran-backed terrorists of Hamas invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, massacring 1,300 people. The Communist Party has hosted largely fruitless meetings between leaders of Hamas and the Palestinian political party Fatah in an attempt to normalize the genocidal terrorists and regularly champions the “two-state solution.” Its efforts have not made China a major participant in the Middle East, however, and has hurt its relationship with Israel.

While a vocal advocate for the normalization of Hamas, China still enjoys significant economic ties to Israel. Israel has not formally joined the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), but has welcomed Chinese state-controlled corporations to sign deals for a variety of infrastructure projects in the country, including ports and railways. Wang, in his talks with Sa’ar, reportedly emphasized that Beijing seeks “long-term” development of relations with Israel, presumably seeking a fruitful diplomatic relationship long after the end of the war against Hamas.

“China remains committed to upholding justice and will continue to play a constructive role in seeking a comprehensive and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue,” Wang reportedly told Sa’ar, according to the Chinese state propaganda outlet Xinhua….
