We’ve been hearing for nearly three years that Russia is steamrolling Ukraine even while Russia gets weaker and weaker.
In point of fact, both Russia and Ukraine are each weaker, and in fact, I would argue that this was the point. After all, what would those Neocon lunatics in Washington call a million or more dead Slavs, but a good start.
War weakens nations, even as it may serve to unify the people. For war is the undoing of civilization, the celebration of deeds which would otherwise be crimes of the highest order. This is why war should never be entered into for slight or even troublesome matters, but should be reserved for the greatest injuries, the greatest threats, or as a last resolve of national existence.

Russia steamrolled a passenger plane.
