Tales from a Super Jew: Never forget. Never again. Really?

I watched many movies and read many books over the years about Jews in Germany as Nazism rose. And I often asked myself: why did the Jews not leave?
Now I know. We are witnessing the worst Jew hatred in Canada, ever, and that includes during the Holocaust  when Canada’s response to Jews fleeing Nazi Germany, well, sorry: None is too many.

I have friends in Israel asking me when will I make Aliya? And I am thinking, well Jew hatred is frightening but I believe it will get better. And the other reason, I am too old. Hmmm. Sounds like the Jews in Germany, doesn’t it?

It is so bad here that my daughter and son-in law have thought about moving to America – where they will be safe. Trump came into power and has been busy shutting down the Jew hatred that is coming primarily from Muslims: joined, of course, by their fellow Progressives.

Toronto, the Canadian city with the largest number of Jews, approximately 180,000 of the 335, 000 in Canada (1.2%of the population) has Muslim Police Officers who seem to be enthralled by the October 7 massacre of Jews in Israel. Two of them had a podcast: Olive Branch Podcast, a project launched to ‘engage’ Toronto’s Muslim communities. In one particular podcast in March, Constables Farhan Ali and Haroon Siddiqui  made light of Hamas‘ terror attack against Israel and praised the ‘unbelievable’ number of converts to Islam after October 7. Social media has elevated the beliefs of Islam since the attacks on October 7, 2023.

‘A lot of people, after October 7, started learning about Islam. And they said, “Ok well what is it with the religion – why is it so hated? Why are they being attacked all the time?” Siddiqui said.

He went on to say that the number of ‘reverts’ to Islam since the attacks was ‘unbelievable’, using the Islamic framing that everyone was born following Allah and new followers are returning rather than converting.

‘They’re actually educating themselves,’ Siddiqui said.

Can you imagine, Muslim police officers thrilled that people are coming to Islam after the most barbaric attack on Jews since the Holocaust. Hahaha. Thrilled that people are becoming Muslims after witnessing Muslims burn Jews alive, mothers, fathers, babies. Well, at least the Nazis killed my people before putting them in ovens. I wrote about this March 2025 and at the end I asked if I lived in Canada or Iran.

It’s closer to Iran.

And yet these men are still police.

Why would I, a Jew, ever trust the police to care for me when they allow Jew haters to be on the force? What if I needed the police? And they came to my house. And they were Muslim? They would see a large Jewish star in the window of my door; a poster of a hostage that will remain until all hostages are returned, a mezuzah on my door frame, an End Jew Hatred sign on the lawn, a Jewish flag, and a menorah in my window which will be lit every night until all Jews are home.

Hmmm.

Life is so harmful for Jews in Canada that a memo came out.

May 25 2025:

The National Security Council (NSC) is updating its travel alert for Canada and raising it from Level 1 (no travel warning) to Level 2 (potential threat level). This is in light of an increased threat by terrorists against Israelis and Jews in Canada. In the past 18 months, there have been several attacks against Jewish institutions and centers, including shooting incidents, Molotov cocktails and threats against Israelis/Jews in the country. The NSC recommends that all Israelis travelling to Canada, or who are currently in Canada, exercise increased precautionary measures, avoid displaying Jewish and Israeli symbols in public and remain extra vigilant while in public  In the past few days, the discourse surrounding these events has become more radical, including what could be understood as calls to violently harm Israelis and Jews at these events.
We recommend that those attending the support rallies listen to security personnel and local police at the events, obey their instructions and avoid any friction with the anti-Israel protests.

Guess I should have read that BEFORE I attended the March for Israel, May 25, in Toronto.

Just a bit north of Sheppard along Bathurst we came upon a group of Muslim barbarians and their pals screaming about Israel. And they weren’t compliments!

So, I decided to do a dance in front of them proudly displaying my Super Jew T shirt, Mossad hat and Israeli flag. And on the back I had a sign that read “From the River to the Sea Israeli Sovereignty.”

I was just dancing. Uh uh. A Sikh officer came over and said not to do that. So I waited and danced again. Uh uh. Don’t do that. Don’t want to provoke the Jew haters- well he didn’t say that but that was the message. So, I went back a third time. He got bit testy – well, testier, and I didn’t want to go to jail so I backed away, into a young woman carrying a huge Israeli Flag and waving it madly in front of the protected Jew haters who support barbarians. The police officer wasn’t happy with her, either.

Seems the Sikh police officer was worried I may antagonize the loud Jew haters. Really? I could do that – a Savta – grandmother, is a threat to Jew haters? Hmmm. Maybe that’s a good thing!

Well, I guess calling for the death of Jews or accusing Israel of genocide is free speech – dancing isn’t. And why not? Justin Trudeau had declared that Canada has no core values so….

“There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada,” and consequently that “makes us the first post-national state.”

So that explains the welcoming of Jew haters and those who hate western culture into Canada. What did you expect?

I do wonder what the Toronto Police would have done if this were a march for Black Heritage Month and the marchers had to walk between groups of white supremacists, many wearing the ensemble of the KKK screaming the “N” word at them. Or, if this were the Pride Parade, and on the sidelines were people adamantly opposed to gender mutilation, I mean gender affirming care.

So, the Police Chief of Toronto and the Mayor and it appears the Premier Doug Ford and, of course, PM Carney, are OK with persecuting Jews; well definitely not protecting them.

I met many wonderful police officers during the March and thanked them for the security they provided during the March. I choose to believe that the vast majority of Toronto Police Officers do not agree with the Chief; that they know good from evil; right from wrong.

And I also hope that Chief Myron Demkiw will be fired for his refusal to protect the Jews in Toronto.

I hope that changes will be made so ALL people feel safe and heard.
