Ted Cruz Has Blistering Message For UN That Will Have Them Panicking – This Could Change Everything

T. Belman. I am hopeful that with a Trump administration that the US will no longer tolerate a hostile UN, particularly towards Israel and a PA that incites terrorism and supports terrorists and violates all agreements including the Oslo Accords. The US should insist that 1) UNCHR be done away with, as it exists only to delegitimate Israel, that 2) UNRWA be wound up because it makes peace impossible (They will not be going back) and it denies the refugees and their descendants what all other refugees get, normalization, and that 3) the PA be dismantled because it isn’t working in the interests of peace and it isn’t complying  with the Oslo Accords.

Cruz and Trump are ready to lead the charge.

Conservatives have long been longing for this …

By Chris Golden, WESTERN JOURNALISM,   December 28, 2016

Perhaps the most shameful act of President Obama’s long, sordid presidency may have been among his last.

As the voraciously anti-Western wolves of the United Nations prepared to take a vote on a measure condemning Israel, one nation stood in the way — the United States, supposedly the greatest ally of the Jewish state. The U.S. ambassador to the U.N. could cast a veto, condemning the resolution. It didn’t happen, thanks to the Obama administration.

Conservatives are furious, and none more so than Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. In a scorching statement issued by the one-time Republican presidential contender, he excoriated the President Obama and his regime for its cowardice and proposed a unique retribution for the U.N. once President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

The resolution, according to CNN, condemns Israeli settlement activity in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. While it does not have any practical effects as of yet, it could be used to set conditions for future negotiations between a Palestinian state and Israel, putting the Israelis at a marked disadvantage.

In his statement, Cruz said it was time to “reconsider financial support for the nations that supported this resolution” and that it may be time to “significantly reduce or even eliminate U.S. funding of the United Nations.”

The senator’s proposal is something conservatives have long been clamoring for.

“For eight long years, the Obama administration has worked systematically to undermine the nation of Israel,” Cruz wrote. “They actively worked to defeat Prime Minister Netanyahu, and illegally used U.S. taxpayer funds to do so. Never has there been a more anti-Israel administration, and today’s United Nations vote is the culmination of their systemic agenda to weaken Israel and strengthen its enemies.

“Every Obama foreign policy official should be ashamed of today’s U.N. resolution, and any official who disagrees with or hopes to avoid the anti-Israel legacy of this administration should resign on principle today,” he continued.

He then proposed his most drastic step: severe financial consequences.

“I also emphatically second the call of my colleague Sen. Lindsey Graham that the consequences of this disgraceful U.N. resolution should be severe,” Cruz said. “I look forward to working with Sen. Graham, and with the incoming administration of President-elect Trump, to significantly reduce or even eliminate U.S. funding of the United Nations, and also to seriously reconsider financial support for the nations that supported this resolution. For those who have put your name to this despicable attack on Israel, you did so with full knowledge of the consequences of your actions.

“And for those who acquiesced or facilitated the U.N. resolution- — especially President Obama, Secretary Kerry, and Ambassador Power- — history will record your abiding and shameful legacy undermining our friend and ally Israel,” Cruz added.

“I am hopeful at least some Senate Democrats will choose to repudiate your anti-Israel actions, and I am grateful that the new administration has committed to once again restoring our strong and unequivocal support for the Nation of Israel.”

Such a move would, of course, be a shock to the U.N. As CNS News points out, the $3 billion the United States gives directly to the global governing body is more than 185 other nations combined, and the most in the world. Fox News reports that tally reaches $8 billion in yearly funding when you include the amount spent on U.N.-affiliated organizations.

In spite of this, the global body has been, for years, a vociferous critic of the United States and an injurious enemy to its most important ally in the Middle East, Israel.

We are, in other words, financing a veritable hive of anti-American and anti-semitic activity. If they don’t like us and they don’t like the Jewish state, they shouldn’t like our money.

And yet, they gladly take so much of it.

  1. @ Kim Wilde:

Yes and keep Israel in every country to uproot its foundations of morality and principal based equality for all. As long as the greater Israel’s policies are cunningly forwarded through deception and blackmail its OK!

  2. Obama a real chameleon: first as a Muslim then a “communist” followed by being “christian” and finally a socialist!
They all have in common one trait: antisemitism!

Ted, I do not view you blog on a smart phone, but a regular computer screen. The same thing happens to me. Very annoying.

  4. If Obama’s Administration has illegally used tax payers funds then after January 20th a full investigation should be carried out and all those involved, even the current President, if he approved this, must be prosecuted.

The only way to clean the swamp is to thoroughly investigate the things they have done under Obama and enforce the law.

Obama and his minions will do everything in their power to wickedly undermine the new President and to continue to harm the USA at home and abroad. This must not be allowed to happen.

  5. From the day the PA did not remove their hate speech from their charter, is the day all bets were off. History proves that we, who said we were the wise ones, were actually the fools. How many innocent of Jacob died because of political insanities?
