This Hard Turn Against Israel Is A Growing Trend in the Democratic Party, and Certainly Not Something Which Will Somehow Suddenly End or Decrease

Since I Have Your Attention, I Am Referring to the Leftist, Pro-China, President Lee Jae-myung of South Korea and His Ruling Democratic Party of Korea

Below is a video of the insulting remarks to which I refer, the most recent example of anti-Israel rhetoric by members of Lee’s party and by Lee himself:

Cheon Jun-ho, the chief deputy floor leader of the leftist, pro-China, Democratic Party of Korea, has condemned the display of Israeli and American flags at
a rally held by pro-U.S., pro-Israel conservatives in Seoul.   A few weeks ago, Korea’s leftist, pro-China, President Lee Jae-myung and leading members of his ruling Democratic Party of Korea strongly condemned Israel and compared its actions in Gaza to those of the Nazis during the Holocaust.  Lee also called for the arrest of Israeli leaders.  With each passing week, the Lee Jae-myung regime and his ruling Democratic Party move further left, which is the
reason why Korean conservatives who are pro-U.S. and pro-Israel have been holding protests against Lee and his party.  This particular Democratic Party lawmaker, Cheon, had served as the chief of staff to the late Democratic Party mayor of Seoul, who committed suicide when it was revealed that he had been molesting female staffers in his city hall office.  Cheon later served as chief of staff to Lee Jae-myung when Lee was a legislator.  While working for Lee, Cheon once very brutally shoved away a young reporter who was attempting to ask Lee a question about a financial scandal for which Lee was then being investigated.  President Lee is currently under indictment for allegedly arranging for US$ 8 million to be illegally sent to North Korea, supposedly as a bribe to persuade Kim Jong-un to invite Lee to North Korea for a photo opportunity, but he can’t be tried for the alleged crime until he leaves office.  Many U.S. experts on Korea have noted the hostility toward the U.S. which many in President Lee’s Democratic Party seem to have embedded in their political DNA.

Although the Israeli Foreign Ministry did issue a statement strongly criticizing President Lee a couple of months ago when he compared Israel to Nazi Germany, the vicious smears against Israel by Lee and his party have continued on an almost weekly basis.  In spite of this, it is unfortunate and really puzzling that NO Jewish or pro-Israel organization in the U.S. has openly, forcefully spoken out against Lee and his party for this harsh anti-Israel turn.

For all practical purposes, the current leftist regime in South Korea has become every bit as anti-Israel as the regimes in Spain, China, Ireland, Brazil, or Norway, but this disturbing situation does NOT seem to have been noticed by Jewish or pro-Israel organizations and leaders in the U.S..  Perhaps this is because they fail to understand how important South Korea has become in terms of world trade and popular culture, or the growing influence of the Korean American community in the U.S.  This lack of understanding of the problem may also be due to the fact that important groups in South Korea, such as Christians and conservatives, tend to be very pro-Israel, and there doesn’t really exist any far-right anti-Israel element in South Korean society.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, JEWISH AND PRO-ISRAEL GROUPS AND THEIR LEADERS IN THE U.S. SHOULD REALIZE THAT BY FAILING TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST THIS EXTREMELY HARSH, ONGOING, INCREASING ANTI-ISRAEL TURN BY THE LEFTIST SOUTH KOREAN REGIME OF LEE JAE-MYUNG AND HIS RULING DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF KOREA, THE SILENCE OF SUCH JEWISH AND PRO-ISRAEL FORCES ONLY SERVES TO ENCOURAGE  EVEN FURTHER ANTI-ISRAEL RHETORIC AND ACTIONS.  THIS SERIOUS SITUATION HAS ALSO BEEN TOTALLY IGNORED BY JEWISH-THEMED AND PRO-ISRAEL PUBLICATIONS HERE.
