General Amir Avivi describes Trump’s call to end US investment in Israeli defenses as having a great deal of misinformation surrounding it. He challenges that it was more related to an Israeli initative than that of the Americans, noting that Israel must demonstrate itself as being a fully sovereign nation and ergo must provide the economic basis of its own defenses. Also, he notes that by moving the association between Israel and the US from aide to partnership will lead to a much healthier rapport between the nations, emphasizing that the funds America sets aside for Israel to use in US military purchases is a small amount.
Also, by producing its own capabilities domestically and exporting them Israel would easily be able to afford to do so without difficulty. He also recalls that the US has used its leverage as Israel’s source of arms to manipulate Israel into making non sovereign choices which is simply not a sustainbable option. He also atests that Israel is America’s only real anchor in the Middle East and the relationship between these nations should be based upon mutual interest, rather than US military investments.
Avivi discusses the current initiative to move towards the establishment of joint US-Israel investments in AI, quantum computing, hypersonic missiles, and space.
With regards to the Iran war, Avivi indicates that Trump has a very specific window of opportunity to complete the war in Iran before January when the chance of this happening are higher because of the Democrats controlling the Congress. Nonetheless, he also notes that Israel is entirely able to “finish the job by itself” if needed. Avivi confirms recent reports of Iran having chemical weapons capabilities (which is not new despite it being reported as such) alongside its nuclear aspirations. Hence, if the regime is allowed to persist, they will continue to develop these capabilities within the protection of Iranian mountains til they are ready to employ them with massive affects. He also clarifies that most of Israeli society expects to win the war and won’t accept surrender.
Beyond the war, Avivi raises the importance of having US support in the UN to avoid sanctions and obligatory UNSC resolutions. He argues on behalf of using the remainder of Trump’s term to affect an end to the Iran war and a determination of how to resolve the issue with the “Palestinians”.
Avivi also shares some insights on the election aftermath in Israel. He strongly criticizes opposition leaders for “contemplating leaning on the Muslim Brotherhood and anti-Zionist Arab parties” who will require an end to the war and Israeli retreats from Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. He correctly describes what is coming as being a choice of unity govt or a return to elections again. He also acknowledges the recent elections rigging with “massive involvement of Qatar, possibly Turkey.” He also notes that the opposition’s interest in pivoting on the ultra-Orthodox conscription “sends a very bad message” to voters.

I agree with General Avivi that Israel needs to unite and stop playing kindergarten games. The situation is too serious to continue down the present path. All those retired generals that are posturing and hoping for positions of power in the next Knesset need a refresher course. The first law is to obey your government but they have all shown that they are not willing to do so. Get them unelected, NOW!
The Israeli population needs to upgrade their ideas of who to elect and then do it because those currently elected are not willing to run the country the way it needs in the current situation.
From here on in, I’m Jewish and Israel First. I’m disgusted with Americans. American Jews need to put our own people first.
