As we have each been hard wired to study the rolling events of the past two years, noting every victory, every casualty, every surprise and every response, the toll has been overwhelming, mentally fatiguing and emotionally wrenching. Yet, what history will tell of our age is exactly as Rabbi Pilichowksi has described with the exceptional insight that he offers us. As the world closed in against us, as our enemies mounted campaign after campaign to destroy us, we have survived, and that survival has been achieved in the most extraordinary and exceptional of fashions, the detailed means of which we are each intimately familiar, but which our descendants and those of our enemies will be better able to recognize from a distance of time and relevance as is needed for history of a single truth: It was a miracle to which we are too close to easily grasp!
