Peloni: Mainstreaming of Jew Hatred is not an intrinsic or honest American value. Those who tolerate such inimical rhetoric display a lack of clarity which has preceded the fall of past civilizations which first betrayed its basic value system while tolerating and adopting radical believes promoted by charismatic leaders. America must choose to be American, to value meritocracy, to rejoice in the practice of true equality before the law, and to hunger for a better tomorrow in which subsequent generations might not only exist, but will thrive in leading the world towards being a better place to leave to their own subsequent generations. Importantly, this are not what will come from electing a man such as Mamdani for any position of power, and the useful idiots who have thus far lent to him their sense of inclusiveness have betrayed the most basic tenets of their own identity.

However, it was actually Lenin who was the “useful idiot” because he allowed the Bolsheviks to become agents of the kaiser.The Russian-born representative of the German foreign ministry who dealt with Lenin was no fool; It was Lenin who was the “useful idiot.” Due to Lenin’s collaboration with the Germans, Russia was forced to concede vast amounts of territory to Russia and its allies through the treaty of Brest-Litovsk. If Germany had won World War I, which was a distinct possibility in 1917-18, Russia might have become a permanent vassal of Germany.
Excellent historical overview. My paternal grandfather graduated from the Presidio in 1917 and went to war in the Army Cavalry. His degrees were in international law and French. He stayed in for many years, then retired. When WWII came along, he reupped as a Colonel. He was in charge of a German prisoner of war camp where the Germans were treated far too lavishly and his documents and photos proved same. He was also over the MPs at Nuremburg. His many photos and collections were given to Harry Mazal’s Holocaust library which was purchased by the University of Colorado in Boulder.
