Islamic Supremacist Nominated as UC Student Regent

By Robert Spencer, FPM

A UC Berkeley senior who is a venomous supporter of the jihad against Israel and member of several Islamic supremacist groups with links to jihad terror has been nominated to become the University of California student regent for the 2014-15 academic year.

The student regent participates in a board that sets policies for the entire University of California system, which consists of ten campuses throughout the state. Sadia Saifuddin is expected to be confirmed as student regent by the full Board of Regents next month.

The hijabbed Saifuddin would be the first Muslim student regent. “My faith,” she explained, “is a big part of my life. What I love the most about Islam is that it preaches tolerance and love, which is the reason that I have close friends and networks outside of the Muslim community as well.”

Yet Saifuddin’s record at UC-Berkeley is hardly one of tolerance and love. She co-sponsored a BDS resolution in the Berkeley student Senate, calling on the entire University of California system to divest companies that do business with Israel, based on the spurious premise that Israel is “occupying” Palestinian territory.

Saifuddin, a member of both Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and the Muslim Students Association (MSA), also spearheaded “A Resolution Condemning Islamophobic Hate Speech at the University of California,” which the student Senate passed unanimously. Saifuddin herself wrote the resolution, which claimed that “since September 11, 2001, Islamophobia has become the latest ‘hazing’ technique across the United States and has created a chilling effect for Muslims, Arabs, and South Asians in their communities, work-environments, and campuses,” and that “according to a Gallup Study, 60% of of [sic] Muslim Americans say that Muslims face prejudice from Americans.”

In fact, the very concept of “Islamophobia”  is a blunt instrument in the hands of Islamic supremacists, designed to intimidate non-Muslims into thinking that resisting jihad terror is “hateful.” And reality does not back up its existence: the British journalist Brendan O’Neill gave the truth behind such claims in the Telegraph last April, in the wake of the Boston Marathon jihad bombings:

In the years since 9/11, the American public has been admirably tolerant towards Muslim communities. According to federal crime stats collected by the FBI, in 2009 there were 107 anti-Muslim hate crimes; in a country of 300 million people that is a very low number. In 2010, a year of great terrorism panic following the attempt by Pakistani-American Faisal Shahzad to detonate a car bomb in Times Square in NYC, there were 160 anti-Muslim hate crimes. In 2011, there were 157. To see how imaginary the Islamophobic mob is, consider a state like Texas, fashionably mocked as a backward Hicksville full of Fox News-watching morons: there are 420,000 Muslims in Texas, yet in 2011 there were only six anti-Muslim hate crimes there. It simply isn’t true that mad racist Yanks are biting at the bit to attack Muslims.

No actual hate crimes are ever justified. In light of her hysterical exaggeration of the supposed “climate of hate” against Muslims in America since 9/11, however, clearly Saifuddin is joining Islamic supremacist advocacy groups such as the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in using hate crimes to deflect attention from the reality of jihad activity and bully Americans into thinking that it is wrong and bigoted to oppose jihad terror and Islamic supremacism. Hamas-linked CAIR and other Muslims have not hesitated to fabricate “hate crimes.” CAIR and other groups like it want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.

Saifuddin’s resolution makes clear its objective to stymie counter-terror efforts when it complains that “Muslim students have been targeted for surveillance by the FBI in Orange County, who said that they are paying particular attention to Muslim students at UC Irvine and UCLA,” and that “this surveillance is occurring on the East Coast as well, with the New York Police Department surveillance of Muslim students at Yale, Columbia, Syracuse, Rutgers, New York University, and Brooklyn College.” It asserts that “these racist and selective surveillance procedures are justified by figures in mainstream media, such as David Horowitz, who defines the core mission of the MSA to ‘advance the Islamic Jihad against the Jews and Christians of the Middle East, and ultimately against the United States.’”

Saifuddin offers no evidence to counter Horowitz’s assertion or explain why surveillance of MSA members, who are Muslims of all races, is “racist.” In reality, Horowitz is correct. In an internal Muslim Brotherhood document, “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America,” the MSA is listed as one of the Brotherhood’s allied organizations. And the memorandum explains that the Brotherhood’s agenda in the U.S. is subversive: the Muslim Brothers “must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

In line with this, it is no surprise that several MSA members have been implicated in jihad terror activity. Tarek Mehanna, an MSA member at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, is now serving a seventeen-and-a-half year sentence for aiding al-Qaida. Omar Hammani, a former president of the MSA chapter at the University of South Alabama, is now waging jihad in Somalia and has a prominent place on the FBI’s Most Wanted List. Hasan Akbar, who was a member of the MSA at UC Davis, joined the U.S. Army only to murder U.S. soldiers in a jihad terror attack in Kuwait; he is now awaiting execution.

Saifuddin’s resolution singled out UC Santa Cruz lecturer Tammi Rossman-Benjamin for particular opprobrium, claiming that she “has been responsible for inciting racist and Islamophobic rhetoric,” and demanding that Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) and UC President Mark Yudof condemn her “racist and bigoted language.”

Saifuddin was enraged by some remarks Benjamin made in a June 2012 speech, in which she noted that many MSA and SJP students are “foreign students who come from cultures and countries where antisemitism is how they think about the world.” Benjamin added that:

these student groups often have strong ties to international campaigns to demonize and delegitimize Israel, as well as to organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood — in fact the Muslim Brotherhood founded the Muslim Students Association, the MSA, 40 years ago — and other terrorist organizations. Al Awda is one of the main sponsors of the Students for Justice in Palestine.  Al Awda is an organization that has ties to both Hamas and Hezbollah. So these are not your ordinary student groups like the College Republicans or the Young Democrats. These are students who come with a serious agenda who have ties to terrorist organizations.

It is noteworthy that in her resolution, Saifuddin quoted some other segments of Benjamin’s talk, but left out her specific observations about the MSA’s and SJP’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and Hizballah, although she did note Benjamin’s assertion that both groups were “tied to terrorist groups.” This is likely because Benjamin’s information was accurate, and Saifuddin did not want to call attention to that.

Ironically, while Saifuddin claimed that Benjamin’s speech created “an uncomfortable and unsafe environment for Muslim students,” it was actually Saifuddin’s resolution and her anti-Israel activities that created an uncomfortable and unsafe environment for Benjamin and pro-Israel students on UC campuses. Benjamin wrote to Yudof in May 2013 that in their attacks on her, the MSA and SJP had “gone well beyond free expression to the point of intolerable and impermissible intimidation, harassment, and defamation.”

Benjamin noted that the UCSC CJP and affiliated SJP groups on other UC campuses, inspired by Saifuddin’s claims, have

waged a virulent and harmful campaign to assassinate my character that includes: posting and promoting a defamatory on-line petition accusing me of racism and censorship and calling on you to condemn me; widely posting defamatory flyers about me on the UCSC campus; launching over a dozen videos about me on YouTube that wrongfully accuse me of being “hateful,” “dangerous,” and “Islamophobic”; instructing SJP students UC-wide to fill out hate/bias reports against me on their respective campuses; passing libelous resolutions condemning me for my “inflammatory, hateful, and racist assumptions” in the UC Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, and UC Irvine student senates; and, perhaps most egregiously, appearing to collaborate with groups sympathetic to terrorists (e.g. the International Solidarity Movement) and associated on-line publications (e.g. Electronic Intifada and Mondoweiss) to more widely circulate these defamatory materials about me.

As a result, Benjamin told Yudof, “the CJP/SJP’s targeted and well-orchestrated campaign of intimidation, harassment, and defamation has caused me to feel real concern for my safety and my ability to carry out my responsibilities as a faculty member at UCSC.” Even worse, “the disturbing message these students are sending with their actions is that anyone who attempts to speak out against campus antisemitism, as I have, will be vilified, harassed, intimidated, and bullied into silence.” That harassment includes the fact that two student senators at Saifuddin’s UC Berkeley campus “who voted against the SJP-sponsored divestment resolution were allegedly subject to ‘death threats and vitriolic accusations.’”

This climate of harassment is in large part the responsibility of Sadia Saifuddin. That the UC Board of Regents would reward her and legitimize her vilification of Israel and all foes of jihad is unconscionable. But given the low state of American academia today, it is not at all surprising.

This and previous comments of yours on this page point to a rather complex conspiracy web. It is through that complexity and apparent contradictions that those in power keep the public off balance. One day jihadis are bad news, the next they are freedom fighters. One day we are forced to submit to severe invasions of privacy for the sake of fighting jihadist terror, the next our governments protect jihadis dens (AKA mosques) out of respect for their religion of peace.

I’m sorry I did not reply to you sooner, but sometimes I reach a news-saturation point and I need to get away from the internet. I did not listen to radio newscasts yesterday, and almost never watch TV news anyway. Life feels better when in blissful ignorance. 🙂

Rumors have long floated around about government shills spreading disinformation on websites that are at odds with the governmental party line. Now it’s official: the US government has awarded a contract to a company in California to create software to manage “online personalities”. The software will allow one person to manage up to 10 personas, and will be used to counter “extremist ideology and propaganda”.

Those who visit forums and websites that tend to object to the actions of the current government won’t be surprised to hear that paid trolls are roaming the internet with the clear purpose of manipulating opinions via social media. Last year, an anonymous author confessed that he had worked as a paid shill targeting several popular alternative websites to spread disinformation. The online personalities, known as “sock puppets”, will allow the military to “create a false consensus in online conversations, crowd out unwelcome opinions and smother commentaries or reports that do not correspond with its own objectives.” US Centcom (Central Command) claims that the project will only target foreign sites.

Yet somehow over half of the Senate thought leaving Washington early for a nice, long weekend was more important than being briefed on the government’s secret surveillance programs. “Only 47 of 100 senators attended the 2:30 briefing, leaving dozens of chairs in the secure meeting room empty as [Director of National Intelligence James] Clapper, [NSA head Keith] Alexander and other senior officials told lawmakers about classified programs to monitor millions of telephone calls and broad swaths of Internet activity,” according to The Hill. Unfortunately, The Hill was not given the names of the Senators who did and did not attend the closed briefing.

Perhaps they stayed away because their corruption will not allow them to vote against their paymasters. Perhaps even the scheduling of the meeting was to allow them an excuse. Call me cynical 🙂

  7. Don’t worry about this news about Berkeley, everyone: Bill Narvey, that warrior against the onslaught of Muslim anti-Jewish hatred within our Western academia is on the front line fighting like a tiger. He is ever so much more “comprehending” than the rest of us, especially as regards our bending over even further for the sake of consolidating the religion of Islam in the Western world, that we need not fear for our lives or for the survival of our cultural traditions. Islam is really OK, it’s just that these Muslims are misunderstood and people like us are driving them all to secrecy and silence. We’re bad: they’re good. Listen to Bill the sage and we’ll be alright.

include blackmail with that herd of elephants in the room everyone pretends not to see

My wager is that the reason that the saudis get everything they want from the US is that they basically own all the key players. all the saudis have to do is release info on all the individuals they have been enriching and of all the under the table, and illegal, deals they have been doing to facilitate illegal actions by US “interests” It is astounding that sheeple don’t wonder how US leaders today in funding and operating the jihadists through, and with, the saudis are doing exactly what they were doing in the 1980’s with saudi and pakistan. The big elephant is how can anyone believe that the relationship existed and then the jihdists became the enemy and now the relationship is on again. I find it very difficult to believe that the relationship was hostile for the 20 year interim period; it is illogical. I think that the relationship between the GCC and the US/global elite is very obvious and the world was played again for suckers. another elephant in the room which conflicts with the view of US-jihadi hostility is that the west has in the GCC a most stable, reliable and dependable partner of many decades and that this partnership relies on the saudi wahhabi pact/relationship. In my view it is likely that a GCC hegemony over strategic interests is considered desirable by the elite and they can be relied upon to provide the necessary(illegal) muscle via jihdis upon demand. This explains the thinly veiled alliance between the west and the GCC/jihadi axis. I believe the jihadis are simply a paid GCC network of mercenaries controlled and funded through the Saudi network similarly to the one being built by the saudis in the west including the US. I would also not underestimate that certain global interests would have great respect for the efficacy of the islamic tool as the vehicle for the mind control of their own populations. Every aspiring power hub would love to have such a network of its own. If one combines the mind control success of Wahabi Islamic network with the technological advancements exhibited by the NSA, one would have the infrastructure for the perfect permanent dictatorship that could not be overthrown. We all know the saudi princes follow nothing of islam in private which has been true of all rulers. It would not be outrageous to imagine the attraction of islam to those seeking rule, a ready-made franchise for total and unquestioned rule. Constantine converted the roman empire to christianity, it has happened before. We assume our rulers are against islam because of its values and the appearance that we are fighting against them. We assume that the infiltration of the Islamics into every operation of govt and institutions is unintentional on the part of our rulers, not just Obama. I was called a conspiracy nut when I spoke many months ago about the supplying of arms to the syrian jihadis and the existence of a GCC/US alliance. It is becoming mainstream now but no one is considering how grand the deal is and how it includes the gaza cease-fire, the turk/kurd cease fire and the faux pal state. If we look at everyting taking place as intentional and planned the explanations, for the seemingly strange events, fit into place. Right now, only the russians are interfering with the plan but this may change when russian/western negotiations commence.

  9. @ bernard ross:
Blackmail is a powerful tool in high-stakes politics. Being so common it is strange that the subject does not come up more often when discussing “unexplainable political decisions”. So analysts contort themselves trying to explain political events as if were all a game, a little dirty, but not too corrupt, not too evil. So they mention issues of power, ambition, miscalculations, pressure, or ignorance, even stupidity. But raising the subject of blackmail would freak everyone out. So include blackmail with that herd of elephants in the room everyone pretends not to see. 🙂

    How stupid!

In speech to conservatives Friday, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush raised eyebrows with the words he chose to discuss the benefits of immigrants producing many young workers.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Friday told an audience of conservatives that the future of the US economy depends on immigrants in part because they are “more fertile” than native-born Americans and thus will produce many young workers to help support the aging US boomer generation.

regardless of whether it is accurate in this case, I believe that this is the main currency used to obtain the compliance of those in positions of influence. I believe that many are brought up into power because they are both corruptible and malleable. J Edgar Hoover used this approach long before the current resources available that can mine someones dirt secrets. it is not difficult to put people in compromising positions and then continue to extort them. One is given always the choice of the carrot and success or the stick and infamy or death. It is said, for example, that Obama frequented the bath houses of chicago. I believe the same approach was used with Sharon and other corrupt Israeli leaders. Personages, and I believe they are in abundance, are highly susceptible to extortion. It makes for a successful members club.

  16. “They can be expected of course to avoid casting these truths in as harsh a light as Geller does, but the critical point is that they clearly and unequivocally express those truths.”

I remember eating in a pizzeria in Edmonton. It was a new building. The walls inside were barn boards varnished over. I’m seated beside the wall, and farm boy that I am, I noticed that the cow shit was still stuck to the boards when they were varnished over. This is what it is like trying to tell harsh truth while simultaneously covering up the harshness. An ugly truth will always be an ugly truth. I remember Louis Simpson’s poem ‘OK for Keats’ where he mocks Keats line “truth is beauty.” Simpson was in the 101st Airborne when they liberated extermination camps during the Holocaust. Simpson wrote of the horrors he witnessed there, “That is truth, where is the beauty?”

  17. ‘win those Muslim’s respect and induce them to have far greater sensitivity to Jewish sensibilities.”

You can’t get blood out of a stone, Bill. Islam teaches and commands a religious insensitivity to “Jewish sensibilities.” Even those “moderate” Muslim the entire non-Muslim world is waiting to hear from cannot exorcize this prominent anti-Jewish Isalmic essence from their personal life. Otherwise they would be denying their identity as practicing Muslims. Every Muslim who befriends a Jew is play-acting because he knows in the back of his [f***ed up] mind that his religion forbids such friendships. And you know, Bill, that Islam must be practiced as it is written, so any measure of reform, such as “interfaith dialogue” and friendships with Jews, is forbidden. Perhaps you forget: Muslims from the Middle East dictate the rules Muslim of the West must live by. I would have thought otherwise many years ago, but when I see Muslim university students (“educated” and “assimilated” into Western society) screaming obscenities at Jewish Holocaust survivors and waving anti-Zionist banners (must Jews give up their Zionism to please and “induce” Muslims to “far greater sensitivities”? F**k them and the blood soaked camels they rode in on), I gave all hope of ever placating such animals. And then there’s the matter of the Quran and its implacable and malefic directives against the Jewish people. Nice thought, though, Bill.

And the reason for this? Man is still in control of religion and politics – man is not the one that suffers the most – it is women and children. For one of the Yom Kippur prayers there is one where the men thank God for not being made a woman. Yikes!! 23. You might say that Geller shines a harsh light on Jihadist Muslims, their support network, their Muslim cheerleaders and Muslims who while not openly supportive of Islamism, sympathize with it, thrill at hearing radical Islamic messaging and who influence their children to think just like them thus raising and creating potential future Islamists and Jihadist foot soldiers.

Western radically inclined Muslims of course react in anger and hate towards Geller, just as they do against any critic of their words and deeds who does not use as harsh a light as Geller.

Many non-Islamist Muslims for reasons, perhaps having less to do with the truths Geller speaks, than with the harsh light she casts on radical Muslims which they feel shines unfairly on them, also react negatively and join the voices of the radicals to damn her as a racist or Islamophobe.

Geller is right about many liberal left Jewish leaders joining voices with Western anti-Geller Muslim voices. Some evidence and common sense supports her views that these liberal-left Jewish leaders speak out against her because they have agendas that make interfaith outreach to Muslims a priority and they believe that to join the very Muslims they are reaching out to in condemning Geller, might better serve their interfaith outreach efforts.

A NYT op-ed last year by the current head of the URJ, Rabbi Rick Jacobs as regards Geller’s New York Metro Transit ad placed in subways exemplifies this liberal left anti-Geller attitude. See: The Sin of Sowing Hatred of Islam http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/25/opinion/the-sin-of-sowing-hatred-of-islam.html Jacobs perpetuates the outright lie that Geller is fomenting hatred against all Muslims.

Another article in 2011 by former URJ head, Rabbi Eric Yoffie, amounts to a tacit admission that his interfaith efforts with Muslims were not working out as he had hoped and believed.

Reading between the lines of that article Yoffie is admitting that the interfaith Muslim friendships he believed he had cultivated through his Muslim interfaith outreach and their promises to stand with him against all forms of racism, including antisemtism, were not worth what he thought they were. See: An Appeal to My Muslim Friends http://forward.com/articles/135623/an-appeal-to-my-muslim-friends/#The evidence appears to show that in spite of liberal left Jewish leadership continuing to publically villify Geller and other anti-Jihadist spokesperson like her, their interfaith outreach efforts to Muslims have not been nearly as successful as they hoped.

One obvious reason is that the vast majority of Muslim advocates, both Western and non-Western are pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel and very often expressions of anti-Israelism are nothing less than raw antisemitism.

For the most part in the Muslim world, Jews are equated with Israel and thus Muslim anti-Israel sentiments extend to Jews. For some or even a great many Western Muslims, those anti-Jewish sentiments do not necessarily rise to the level of definable and proven antisemitism, but are rather felt in some lesser fashion such as suspicion, mistrust or a sense of unease with Jews.

In spite of the evidence that damning Geller is not significantly, if at all helping their interfaith outreach to Muslims, liberal-left Jewish leadership stays their course of disingenuously and mendaciously publically villifying Geller.

That failure to recognize their assumptions as to how to better ingratiate themselves towards the Muslim community they are trying to reach out to by publically damning Geller, are questionable if not altogether wrong, has not swayed liberal-left Jewish leadership from their chosen Muslim outreeach course.

That in itself strongly suggests that these liberal-left Jews are driven more by liberal-left theoretical leftist ideology, modern multicultural values and political correctness in shaping and determining their interfaith agendas then by facts, circumstances and realities that present impediments to be accommodated and adjusted for.

Liberal left Jewish leadership would do themselves and the Jewish community at large a service if they ceased denouncing Geller and other advocates against Islamic radicalism and instead joined in to speak truths, now obviously seen as truths inconvenient to the Muslims they are reaching out to and thus hindrances to their outreach agendas. Not only do they need to face truths about and speak out against radical Islam, but the Muslim community itself must be encouraged to be equally outspoken in that regard.

As for interfaith outreach to Muslims, Jewish liberal-left leadership, must adjust their strategies and tactics that will not seek to appease the Muslims they reach out to, but win those Muslim’s respect and induce them to have far greater sensitivity to Jewish sensibilities.

None of the foregoing criticisms of liberal left Jewish leadership’s disingenuous and mendacious villification of Geller and their interfaith strategies and tactics, is to be taken as suggesting that Jewish interfaith outreach to the Muslim communities is not important or necessary.

Those interfaith efforts most definitely are important and necessary.

To conclude, all Jewish leaders, be they on the left or right, will need to accommodate and adjust their interfaith outreach to Muslim strategies and tactics to better accord with facts, circumstances and realities to improve the chances of success that they hope for.

One such welcome change would be for these Jewish leaders to stop publically disingenuously, maliciously and mendaciously villifying Geller and instead speak the truths that Geller speaks. They can be expected of course to avoid casting these truths in as harsh a light as Geller does, but the critical point is that they clearly and unequivocally express those truths.

  26. The hijabbed Saifuddin would be the first Muslim student regent. “My faith,” she explained, “is a big part of my life. What I love the most about Islam is that it preaches tolerance and love, which is the reason that I have close friends and networks outside of the Muslim community as well.”

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. That is hilarious. She says that with a straight face, I’m impressed.

  27. “What I love the most about Islam is that it preaches tolerance and love…”

After reading this, I’m no longer constipated this morning. Something else Islam is good for.

My previous talkbacks were attempts to make the point that citizens are accepting this situation all too easily. The reason may be an inner desire to submit and give up without a fight. The Titanic is going down. Hence the fascination with apocalyptic scenarios. ~~~ Leaders with clarity of mind make no headway, not in the US, in Europe, or in Israel. Nobody listens – while the left and the corrupt at the top work on expediting the collapse of their way of life.

For most of human history, people were governed by paternalist clans. In every country except the United States, monarchy has outlasted democracy, and even there dynasties emerge, such as the Bushes and Kennedy’s.

Wrong goals: Our goal in Israel cannot just be safety, for we would never be safe in a sea of Muslims.

What Jews need is a King, (a constitutional monarchy). One of the greatest hours of our history was the hour when King David was chosen, even against the express wishes of the prophet, Samuel. The situation that prevailed at the time was one of absolute anarchy, of a type we seem not to have experienced again, except for the present day.

Jewish monarchy is a constitutional one, in which the king is bounded by myriad restrictions. Short of a very bad king, such a system is well suited for opinionated Jews, whose perpetual debates and vacillations it crushes. If the king proves very bad, he can be removed both on religious grounds (as a traitor) or simply by the masses exercising their right of insurrection.

Jews are ungovernable left to their own devices. 🙂

  29. @ yamit82:
Historians and analysts look at the dynamics of power. But what about the people? Our govts need the acquiescence of the majority. The problem is that people are submitting too easily to major threats to their societies, such as Islam and police state measures. While science and tech are subjugated to govts for easier control of the population, the economy is a time bomb, and the environment is deteriorating fast. Govts routinely lie to the public and there’s no sense of direction. People sense all these threats but are acting like deer in the headlights.

    The True Clash of Civilizations

The TRUE CONFLICT OF CIVILIZATIONS in which we suffer and the West dies is the conflict of its ruling elites and their fictions, the pathocracy that is the postmodern State. The pathocratic State, a cancerous growth from and image of its host culture, uses the bogie of jihad, enabling it with money, weapons, diplomatic apologetics and prestige, to undermine its host [the West] & to justify increasing ‘security measures’ that displace civil rights. This is the pathocratic means of making an impoverished world collective the sociopaths will rule for their own pleasure: the thrill of dominance trumps even the wealth they extract in managing the game.

Many people remain blinded by endemic violence in the Islamic world particularly as it is magnified by the media, notwithstanding media and academic apologetics for that violence. They similarly are dazzled by the iterations of Samuel Huntington’s tome touting a ‘clash of civilization’ between Islam and the West as the core fact of our times. The entire industry of ‘pragmatic and tough-minded experts’ that sustain this apocalyptic haze confounds the true dialectic of our time: the CONFLICT WITHIN WESTERN CIVILIZATION a series of crises nurtured and managed by Western elites with the help of bought and owned local clients. First some background so this ugly truth can be seen in context.

Note well and bear in mind: the concept and urge to jihad was re-ignited after a long slumber by the British after WW I. Initially this was a Round Table project to enable them to, 1) arrange a British Protectorate in the Middle East “with its front door on the Mediterannean,” 2) keep Russia away from the southern oceans and the natural resources of the area, and last but not least, 3) to suppress and cripple the rise of a sovereign Jewish nation, the only genuine nation within the collapsed Ottoman Empire which could be a source of regional prosperity, independence from great power machinations and a shock to the entire identity project of the West which it posits itself as the inheritor of Scriptural promise; which in various forms proclaims itself to be ‘the true Israel.” The West, Edom, is based on mass identity theft & fraud. This generates extreme dynamism, instability, aggression and self-destruction as the culture strains to maintain its false image, its identity fraud.

One salient example: the British formed the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1920s in Egypt under Hasan al Bana and later a Saudi branch. Initially these tool was to be used against the Jews and for stirring the regional pot generally. 31. PICTURES – Post-apocalyptic London – http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2339765/Apocalypse-Britain-Photographic-trickery-shows-iconic-UK-landmarks-look-like-aftermath-pandemic.html ~~~~ The other day Bill Cosby, that paragon of TV fatherhood, said that we should all try to emulate Islam, with their conservative ways for raising children. Alan West countered with some pointed questions, such as whether Cosby was also in favor of typically violent Muslim ways of imparting discipline and dealing with disagreements.

Anyway, regarding my previous talkback, I’m always reminded of something I read about the mindset in Germany prior to the First World War. There was a desire to break with the status quo and when war broke out, there was instant euphoria. They did not know what the years ahead would bring, and they probably didn’t care, but they were joyfully swept up in the emotional wave of impending conflict and destruction.

  32. There may be something profound in common among some social issues we discuss. I just saw pictures of a post-apocalyptic London, and it fits with what I’m trying to say. There is a fascination with catastrophe, whether it’s the apocalypse, a police state, Islam, or others. It may suggest a subconscious desire for destruction. We are not really panicked about a police state or Islam (we’d do something about it), but rather fascinated. ~~~ There seems to be a simmering resentment in the West, and a subconscious longing for a cataclism that will wipe out civilization (all those disaster movies).~~~ The West not only accepts creeping sharia, but defends jihadists’ right to inflict violence as an understandable (even legitimate) expression of rage. ~~~ There was a time when people embraced Communism out of idealism or even opportunism. But current motivations to tolerate police state measures, and to protect Islam and even embrace it come from a much darker place in our subconscious. ~~~ There is something irrational and dangerous connecting our passive fascination and surrender as we face these threats. I’m not a psychologist so I’m still trying to figure this out.
