The Palestine Papers released in Jan 2011

By Ted Belman

The following articles were published in the Guardian on Jan 23/11. They suggest according to the authors that Israel had a partner for peace. The major problem I have with the authors is that they keep repeating that the settlements, including in Jerusalem, are illegal. This is flat out wrong though widely believed. The second problem I have with them is that they keep writing about what the Palestinians were willing to give us. It is not theirs to give, it is ours to keep.

What I liked about the articles is that they stressed what Rice and livni had to say about the negotiations:

But the offer was rejected out of hand by Israel because it did not include a big settlement near the city Ma’ale Adumim as well as Har Homa and several others deeper in the West Bank, including Ariel.

the papers also reveal the unyielding confidence of Israeli negotiators and the often dismissive attitude of US politicians towards Palestinian representatives.
But the documents show US officials unmoved by such claims. Why were the Palestinians “always in a chapter of a Greek tragedy”, secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, asked at a meeting with Erekat in Washington in the autumn of 2009.

Her predecessor, Rice, had been even more dismissive. In July 2008 during talks with Palestinian leaders over compensation for refugees who fled or were forced from their homes when Israel was established in 1948, she said: “Bad things happen to people all around the world all the time.”

If the Palestinians kept insisting that Israel could not keep the large settlements of Ma’ale Adumim (near Jerusalem) and Ariel (in the heart of the West Bank), Rice told them: “You won’t have a state”. No Israeli leader could accept a deal “without including them in an Israeli state”.

Papers reveal how Palestinian leaders gave up fight over refugees
• Negotiators agreed just 10,000 to return
• PLO agreed Israel could be a ‘Jewish state’
• US suggested Palestinians live in Latin America

  1. The trouble is Israeli’s have no official position on what is ours. That is why a minimum first step is to approve the Levy Report. The Arabs claim they own it all Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem. Israel’s new government needs to approve Levy Report. Israel needs to declare that we had been willing for years to try and compromise to end the conflict but it is obvious compromise will lead to more Israeli deaths and the two state solution based on Oslo is over. Set a new paradigm, Levy Report, Annex Area C, build in E1 and anywhere else in Area C.

Areas A & B keep military control but allow for autonomy.
The conditions of Area A & B autonomy to be negotiated. Maybe this ends up being Area by Area (e.g. Jericho, Arab Hebron, Nabulus…) Go back to the concept of pre Oslo where you negotiate with the local Mayor/Shiek or head of the local clan. They run their own schools, fire department, trash removal. This concept needs to be worked out over time. It is not perfect but the allowing the PA to claim they are state on our land is not tolerable. This idea needs to be destroyed as it is a danger to Israel.

The euro/arab cabal has the jews fooled into negotiating away bits and pieces of what they stole from the Jews. Trying their Goebbel lies of legality, a legality such as the GC which did nothing for ethnically cleansed jews from arab lands. The europeans and arabs should all be kicked out of Israel. After the Europeans and arabs have stolen everything from the jews over 2000 years they would like to start at some point in 1967 when the thieves had possession. They would like to legalize all the stealing done for the 2000 years prior and call any retaking of jewish property stealing and illegal. The european thieves continue to push their orwellian ideas on the jews and as long as they have power they will continue with stealing, swindling and killing the Jews. Until everything is retrieved from this devilish cabal there can be no justice for all the rape, murder and swindling that they have done. There is no reason to forget or forgive until every drop of justice is taken back from them. The europeans continue to swindle, steal and libel the Jews while giving outright jew killers every support they can muster. There could be no fate too horrible for europe that could account for their past and continuing crimes against the jewish people. In the same way they moralized their jew killing in the past they now send their children to harass the jews in Israel, giving succor to jew killers, and moralising their exploits of jew baiting.

Many of the 1,600 leaked documents – drawn up by PA officials and lawyers working for the British-funded PLO negotiations support unit and include extensive verbatim transcripts of private meetings –

It was not enough for the British to cheat the Jews out of most of their homeland, slaughter Jews escaping from the holocaust; now they work in enthusiastic alliance with the enemies of the Jews. The greatest enemy of the Jews are the europeans, the arabs are their pawns. the best solution would be to kick the europeans and arabs out of israel and forget about any “peace” deal.
Hopefully, providence will step in and save the Jews from themselves and the euro/arab swindles.
