A close relative of mine, recently told me that Trump is only interested in self interest. I asked him to make his case.  Much to my surprise he attempted to do so by sending me the following list.  It looked to me like a list that circulates among leftists.  It appeared to be all their talking points in capital letters.

People wonder how so many people can buy into this crap.  The answer is they only read or listen to the MSM like NYT, WaPo, MSNBC, AND CNN ad the like. They stay in their safe spaces and would never read alternate media like American Thinker and Israpundit.

I have interlineated my comments in response. I did my response off the top of my head.

I have marked the unfounded, and in many cases, debunked, smears in red.

This is a very biased opinion. The democrats want to change the system by sending out ballots to millions and millions of people.  Trump’s position is that such a practice invites fraud.  This was also Pres Carter’s position

EMASCULATING  THE CDC

The CDC was teaching Critical Race Theory. Trump exercised his constitutional authority and put order that they stop.  They are defying his order.

I understand that the left wants world wide control of the climate.  I don’t for many reasons.  You are entitled to your view. I think if you look at the environment during his term in office, you will see that it didn’t suffer and continues to improve.  I happen to support his cancellation of the Climate Change accords and his making the US energy independent.  I am not aware of any detriment to the environment as a result.

Obama also disregarded the Climate accord as evidenced by his purchase of a $15 million home on the beach.

DESTROYING NATO

He did not destroy NATO at all.  He is making it stronger. All participants are committed to contributing to contribute a certain % of their GDP to it and the US and few others make this contribution.  But many countries have shirked their commitment and are contributing about half of what they agreed to.  Trump is calling them out and demanding that they live up to their obligation. How is this destroying NATO? Trump argues that on the one hand NATO is intended to defend Europe from Russia and on the other hand Germany is buying an enormous amount of oil from Russia.  This is working at cross purposes.

SUCKING UP TO PUTIN AND ERDAGON AND THE SAUDI PRINCE

Trump has imposed sanctions on Russia because of the Crimea and the Ukraine.  Is that sucking up? He may have done some sucking up to Erdogan in order to keep Turkey from making an alliance with Russia. He also covered for the Prince in the Kashoggi murder thereby ensuring that the Prince would support the then future peace deals.

PROMOTING HIS GOLF COURSES  ALA BRITISH OPEN

Did he do this as president.  I haven’t read about it. What did he say?

LOCATING GOV EVENTS NEAR HIS HOTELS

Are you saying he had a duty to avoid events close to his hotel. Are you saying that the US can’t locate events in any hotel owned by Trump?

COVERING UP INTELLIGENCE REPORTS THAT DON’T LOOK GOOD FOR HIM

On the contrary, the intelligence community was conspiring to destroy his presidency with fabricated evidence and illegal surveillance.

On the contrary, he was the first to ban travel from China and others while the democrats were criticizing him for it. For the most part he has endorsed what Fauci, a Hillary supporter, wanted.
