Civilian Front – today we armed with long weapons standby squads in Bnei Brak and Acre. In the last week, the Ministry of National Security and the Israel Police armed hundreds of new standby units throughout the country and distributed thousands of weapons made by Blue and White all over the country.
And this, in addition to significant simplifications in the exams and the entry of hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens into the circle of those entitled to personal weapons. The massive weapon reform that began when I took office and distributed about 24,000 licenses for life-saving weapons until the outbreak of the war continues with full force even now.
Beer Sheva is being armed tomorrow!
Our goal is to distribute thousands more weapons to the emergency rooms in the coming weeks.At the same time, I call on everyone who is eligible, following the new tests, to get a license for a private weapon – submit an application and arm yourself.
8,000,000 Jews and 24,000 permits issued. I know the IDF, Reservists and retired officers have guns but this is a joke. 6,000,000 million Jews unarmed – that is an interesting number, isn’t it?
The Left Deep State in Israel fears their own people more than they want them to live.
Law abiding citizens with guns save lives. It can mean the difference between life and death in a mass casualty event. Perversely this is why the left in the USA opposes it.
Also, in the US, lawful gun ownership is the one thing that prevents total tyranny. Again this is why the Left and our current US government want to take all guns away from the people.
When people are not armed, in the absence of effective law enforcement, criminals have power over law abiding citizens. Our cities have undermined the effectiveness of law enforcement on purpose. Law abiding citizens are thus living lives under threat, while criminals with guns walk the streets without fear.
I am very glad to see this movement in Israel.
As I understand it, Israel has much more effective regulations regarding gun ownership in regards to mental illness and criminals or terrorists than does the US.
This is a positive move for Israel.
If, for example, any fraction of the citizens attending the peace festival had been armed, the survivors would owe their lives to something other than being able to outrun or successfully hide from the terrorists. There would also have been a great many more survivors to boast having survived that great tragedy while far fewer terrorists would be able to make the same claim.
