Peloni: In Amit Segal’s article below, he explains that Trump is using the extension of the Abraham Accords as the means by which to restrain Netanyahu in the region, much as tethering Israel to the UAE did in the first round of the AA. While such an event would give Netanyahu the political capital to possibly survive what is coming in the form of faux peace deals with Lebanon, Gaza and Iran, it leaves a very big question mark as to whether the Arabs would actually acquiesce to accepting such a demand by Trump. Alternatively, we could recognize the reality that a Pal state was created with the formation of the state of Transjordan, now renamed Jordan, a reality around which would provide a more stable future for the entire region than in succumbing to the demand of creating a second Pal state from the heartlands of the Jewish State. The Jordan Option is the better path forward.
