  1. I had been thinking the same thoughts, Ted. Debbie Reynolds was part of the same generation whose entertainment caught the eyes, ears and sensibilities of all of us who came to adulthood in the early 1950s. As a trouper, she was the real McCoy. The death of her daughter by her marriage to Eddie Fisher obviously destroyed the last shreds of her will to live. As a very selective lover of high quality motion pictures, both of them will live on in my own memories.
