Wall Street Journal claims that ceasefire in Lebanon is included in this arrangement, but there has never been a ceasefire in Lebanon since before the previous ceasefire was declared by Trump. So we will see.
Trump tells the NYT that if a US-Iran nuclear deal isn’t reached, he would restart military attacks on Tehran or make the United States “the guardian of the Middle East” in return for 20 percent of the region’s revenues.

What happened to “Total surrender”!
Trump never believed in Unconditional Surrender. He uses the term like garnish to dress his dinner plate, but, like garnish, it has no substantive value.
This terrible announcement reminds me of a quotation of Winston Churchill about Neville Chamberlain. Said Churchill: ‘He had to choose between dishonour and war. He chose dishonour and we shall get war.’
