Peloni: This video provides an important backdrop for the candidacy of Gadi Eisenkot. From the tragedy surrounding the death of his sin and two nephews to his role in the IDF to his role on the Israeli War Cabinet to his challenge against Bennett to lead the anti-Bibi opposition.
I think more time should have been spent on teasing apart Eisenkot’s actions while he was on the War Cabinet. This should be his greatest selling point, but in fact I think it is actually his greatest liability. His stern opposition to the Rafah campaign, in support of the US order of “Don’t” will be a difficult reality for him to overcome. Also I am surprised that there was no mention in this video about Eisenkot’s ambitious Aliyah reform plan.
