Highlights:

EU and Canadian sanctions against Regavim

  • Kahn explains the basis of the sanctions targeted against Regavim are openly noted to be due to its policies and legal goals and revelations rather than being the result of any unlawful conduct, and as such they represent a clear threat to freedom of speech and Israeli sovereignty.

Practical implications of the sanctions

  • Loss of access to Google and Microsoft accounts, frozen bank accounts, suspended credit-card services, restrictions on donations, and travel limitations.

Regavim’s legal battle with the U.S. government

  • Kahn discusses Regavim’s lawsuit over Biden-era sanctions sanctions against law-abiding civil-society organizations.

Palestinian construction in Area C

  • Kahn describes more than 103,000 illegal structures have been constructed in Area C with foreign funding as the PA focuses its strategic effort to advance the Fayyad Plan to settle Arabs in Jewish Area C rather than in Arab Area A as per the terms described in the Oslo Accords.
  • Kahn notes that construction in Area C is strategically positioned around Israeli communities, between Palestinian-controlled areas, and along areas affecting Israel’s eastern border.
  • Regavim’s aerial survey demonstrate that some two-thirds of Areas A and B remains undeveloped, which stands as evidence against the argument that Area C construction is simply driven by lack of available land.

Foreign funding of Palestinian construction

  • Kahn describes European Union funding of structures in Area C and that EU sponsorship is often openly displayed on the structures themselves.

Israeli enforcement and international pressure

  • Regavim’s efforts to compel the Israeli government to enforce its own laws in opposition to substantial European diplomatic and legal pressure.

Khan al-Ahmar

  • The interview examines the long-running dispute over the illegal encampment, proposed relocation, European involvement, and repeated Israeli court decisions concerning the site.

European policy toward Palestinian statehood

  • Kahn emphasizes the significance which  comes from European governments having become deeply committed to Palestinian statehood and they therefore reject information which challenges this preferred approach.

The “Red-Green Alliance”

  • Kahn discusses the cooperation between Islamist movements and the far left, noting their joint overt opposition to Israel’s identity.

Biblical archaeology

  • Regavim’s involvement in monitoring and protecting archaeological sites in Judea and Samaria, including concerns about sites that are inadequately protected or located under Palestinian Authority jurisdiction.

Destruction of Jewish archaeological heritage

  • Kahn cites Joshua’s Altar and other sites as examples of the destruction and neglect of archaeological evidence of Jewish history in the region.

UN and UNESCO involvement

  • Kahn reveiws the efforts of these international organizations contributing to the rewriting and erasure of Jewish historical connections to ancient sites in Israel.

Religious freedom and Israeli jurisdiction

  • Kahn discusses ancient Jewish pilgrimage sites and St. George’s Monastery as examples she believes demonstrate the importance of Israeli jurisdiction in preserving religious sites and enabling religious life.

Foreign-funded organizations operating in Israel

  • Kahn describes organizations which receive European funding and provide information to European governments that is used to criticize Israel and challenge Zionism.

  1. Surely this means that as the Palestine Lobby revived Antisemitism in the West drives western Jews to Israel there will be ready made accomodation for them to extend the existing settlements when the shodown arrives and the squatter Arabs of Area C are thrown out to Jordan???
